I know we usually don't post players' names when discussing scrimmages, practices and sometimes games but could we maybe put some names to the players' numbers? Just a time or two so I can get a feel for who is who. Sounds like we have a lot of work to do. A little discouraged #2 didn't look better. Were there any transfers playing for OR? Summer workouts will be very important and hopefully the guys will be fine for the fall.

What kind of test should we expect out of William Blount? It seems Oak Ridge doesn't fare too well in scrimmages. I wish the Wildcats all the best tomorrow and look forward to reading about the contest from you all.

It is finally official for Tajion Jones! He will be attending the University of North Caroline Ashville on scholarship. Best wishes. I think that does it for this year's senior class, four for four. Probably still a few more younger players who will receive offers in the coming few years, though.

If we are talking Class 6A then all conversations must start with Maryville. They don't end there because there are a lot of good 6A teams. Maryville will not drop off any, they have so much talent in their pipelines it is scary. I cannot remember a time when Oak Ridge has beaten a Maryville Freshmen, JV or varsity team. Best of luck to all the 6A teams but Go Maryville RWR! .

Add Virginia Military Institute to the list of teams wanting Tajion. I sure wish UTC would offer.

Congratulations are in order for 6' 5" wing EJ Bush out of Oak Ridge High School. EJ will continue his education at Bryan College. The Oak Ridge Wildcat star was probably the team's best player but a knee injury drastically effected his senior season. On twitter, two coaches commented on how Bryan was getting a steal in EJ and that the Bryan Coach should get a raise for being able to sign such a high quality player. So far the Oak Ridge Band of Brothers have had three of the four sign scholarships. Gipson and Bush to Bryan College and Higgins to Clemson. Taijon Jones has several offers in his pocket but has yet to commit.

Whatever Happened To...DAREL MIDDELTON? Just ran across a blast from the past on Twitter. It was a tweet from The Monster ( as Darel calls himself ) announcing he his attending the "Dream U." An other tweet said the school was in the Jayhawk Kansas Community Conference. I looked around some more and found he is at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas. He has a little girl and aspiration of making it to the NFL. I know he was a disappointment for Oak Ridge, but he was a Wildcat so I hope the very best for him. I am the type of person who believes in given people chances and wishing the best for them. I am like that because I have been granted chances in my own life. RWR! GRRRR!

If I knew how to post the info you request I would but I don't. One point I would make is that your premise is not always accurate in that the 2017 Class AAA Miss Basketball player from Riverdale won the award based on her talent and production not politics. That said politics does play a roll in some cases.

I must have the wrong number because I knew Jordan was #22. I will look around and try and find the guy. He had a great return in the second half of the Clinton game. As for number changes, Jordon asked his Twitter followers which number they thought he should wear # 6 or #30. I voted for #30 but #6 won 57% to 43%. Also on twitter, Tee is said to be heavier and going to Clemson to make big plays. I still need to check on when Clemson plays Ga. Tech in Atlanta and get tickets. I don't think it is this coming season though. I was watching a highlight tape of Jacob Gross the other day and I sure wish we had him one more season. That guy sure could tackle.

Taijon has now been offered a scholarship to Catawba. I know my last posts made it sound like he signed with SE Missouri St. My apologies. I guess there is still hope UT-Chattanooga offers. I know he can play and be a real contributor for the Mocs.

The two players from Oak Ridge who might qualify are Dowdell and Guinn. If I had to guess the Class AAA Miss Basketball will go to Bradley's Howard or the best Riverdale player.

I can see Booker running some reverses and also on return teams. We had a young player who returned KOs last year, I think his number was 22. I hope he is back. Also, how is #4 looking? He has big shoes to fill ( #5). RWR!

Two recent signings of Wildcats are both well deserved. Jacob Gross will attend and play football for Marietta College located in Marietta, Ohio. I expect Jacob to play Whoop A## football and make Oak Ridge proud. Mark Kaczocha signed with Centre College and his versatility should benefit his new team. ...Spring football starts TODAY so get your pop corn and head to the high school and report back here on anything you feel I need to know.Thanks.

The Knoxville News-Sentinel has named Jada Guinn the Knoxville area Sophomore Player of the Year. RWR!

This is why I am so proud of what Oak Ridge has accomplished the last four years. No transfers, just Oak Ridge kids working their butts off to compete at a very high level. However, if a kid or two did transfer in that would be okay LOL.

Congratulation to Tajion Jones for being offered a full scholarship ride to Ohio Valley Conference member Southeast Missouri State University It is nice to see these players being rewarded for all the hard work they have put in representing Oak Ridge High School.

Just curious, how long does it take to put turf down on a football field. It is April and I haven't heard anything about OR having turf for this season. There was a little talk on Facebook that they were waiting until next year and a person said nobody he has asked knows anything. Still curious, on Twitter Friday Night Rivals with mark Packer listed many games that would be on TV.but I didn't see OR having one. We usually get a least one game on TV. Anybody know what the deal is? More curious, just kidding, I am not that curious.
