  1. 20+, I don't think so GG840. Wayne Co should be favored but to win by more than 20 at Summertown would be pretty tough.
  2. The tourney was tough on Summertown. I doubt too many teams played the schedule there that Summertown did. Lost to Upperman on Saturday at Upperman - this game was a 4 pt game with 1:30 to play and Summertown had the ball. Summertown lost by 3 to Gibson Co at Upperman - Summertown had a 3 point shot rim out with about 20 seconds to play and only down 2. Summertown then fouled, Gibson Co made the first and missed the second. Summertown went the lenght of the floor only to have ball tipped away as time expired. Summertown vs Jackson Co at Jackson Co - This game was a 4 pt game at the half. Summertown tied it up near the end of the third qtr then Jackson Co pulled away in the fourth. Looking at their schedule they played 6 games in 8 days, I bet that caught up with them a little. Of course the competition was stronger as well. This team appeared to be very well coached. The tough competition will probably pay off in the long run.
  3. Can Hampshire's size give the Lady Cats trouble this time ? Hampshire played Summertown well on Monday night until Hickman fouled out.
  4. Summertown / Wayne Co III Can Wayne Co make it 3 victories in a row over Summertown or will the 3rd time be the charm for the Eagles ? Wayne Co is playing well - Summertown just keeps finding a way.
  5. Trotter's Troups do it again. Summertown 47 Perry Co 42
  6. Unbelievable pitching by the Summertown tri of Mindy Wyrick, Becky Scollard and Heather Lanier. 21 innings pitched and no runs allowed. S'town had to win 3 games to win the title. Elimination game S'town 3 Wayne Co 0 Mindy Wyrick winning pitcher Becky Scollard 2 run homerun. S'town 1 Columbia Academy 0 Becky Scollard winning pitcher. S'town 4 Columbia Academy 0 Heather Lanier winning pitcher.
  7. From what I saw today, I think the state championship game will be Temple vs Greenfield. My prediction would be Temple in a close one, but will not be suprised if Greenfield wins.
  8. S'town 70 C'wood 60 Collinwood held the lead at half behind 15 1st half points from Justin Bryant. Summertown put the clamps on Bryant and held him to 2 pts the 2nd half. Those two came on a BS technical called by Mike Roberts on the Summertown boys coach. Powell led Summertown with 24.
  9. I was there. The correct score was 93 - 69. Summertown came out hot and jumped on Forest early. By haftime, Forest had cut it to 7 and then took the lead with a 14 to 4 run to start the 3rd qtr. Summertown re took control late in the 3rd and eased away in the forth. For the record, Forest was down 20 with 2 min to play when Forest cleared the bench. This was a great game for a fant to watch. Lots of action. Jenkins was awesome, shankle also played well. Summertown did not hit 20 3's. It was more like 11 or 12. I can verify that later but I know it was not 20. Look forward to watching another great game between two good teams later in the season at Chapel Hill. good luck to both teams
  10. Don't know the reason, but sure glad he decided to stay. The team is looking good in the early going, off to a 3 - 0 start. Play hard, play together, good things will continue to happen. Eagles, keep up the good work.
  11. Amen, Eagle24. Why should anyone care if someone wants to and is willing to work ? Great Post.
  12. -- We will play anywhere, anytime and yes that means every year. Let's sign a 10 year contract, play home and home next ten years. Lawrence County is the one who wants to pick and choose when we play, or Coach Clark, I should say. Let's get off the crap that LCHS has nothing to gain. Be honest if the LCHS boys program felt they could beat Summertown in most years they would want to play. Big Tiny, are you a former wildcat? I bet you are one of those former players who used to get scrared while playing for LCHS at Summertown. I know former wildcats who said they felt like the walls were closing in on them when the crowd started rocking in the Pit. It is South Bend Central vs Hickory Huskers all over again. Guess what ? Hickory always wins.
  13. I saw Summertown roll last night at the very tough BGA summer league. Game one saw the Eagles defeat BGA 80 - 56. Game two for the Eagles was McGavock High School - Summetown 85 McGavock 70.
  14. We are looking for a 14U team for my daughter to finish the summer with. She has attended Club K since she was 7 years old. She pitches and plays SS, but good enough athlete to learn to play anywhere, has very good bat.
