Because going out and selling 'local ads' takes time and money and CoachT already has a full time job. The main idea behind the subscriptions is to enable Coach T to be able to do away with ALL the ads. That's what most folks like to call "work". If CoachT is fully employed, why doesn't he hire a commission only sales person? For example, a sales rep sells a banner for $2k/month and they would be paid anywhere between $200 - $400. CoachT pockets the rest. This would bring in MUCH more revenue than subscriptions. What do you think newspapers thrive on? I can assure you it isn't subscriptions. Bottom line...If this site is made "subscription only", then it's going to die. That's a fact! And it's a shame because it doesn't have to happen.

It's obvious this web-site is generating some ad revenue. Why the need for subscriptions? In my view, CoachT would be more successful from a $ perspective if he would be a bit more ambition in going after local advertisers. The hits this site receives would be a BIG selling point. Would also help out the local businesses in various areas of the states of Tennessee and Alabama. Just a friendly suggestion.

There has been alot of talk on this thread about the new playoff format. Justifiably so I might add. I'm a bit surprised no one has commented on the $ aspect of this new format. Instead of 5 championship games in Div. I, we now hav 6 championship games. This means more money at the gate, which means more $ for the TSSAA. As far as the TSSAA giving a rip about the seeding, well I believe seeding a 3-7 Coffee County team ahead of Oakland just about sums up how much they care about getting the seeding correct.

I believe Mt. Juliet will win this pretty easily. I don't expect much out of Wilson Central this season. They'll miss the Hassell kid's presence inside.

JC, As usual, you're wrong on all counts. I used to have a very good relationship with that family and I would indeed help them out if called upon.

Cheerleader, I apologize if I have upset you. I am very fond of Jaclissa and am very happy for her recent commitment to UT Martin. I'm sure you are very proud and you should be. As for your stalking remark, you know in your heart that isn't true. If there is anything we can do for you, Jaclissa, Jastin or Drew, please don't hesitate to call on us. I truly wish this vitriol would cease. I think the world of you guys. It's your coach I have the problem with and that is no secret. Good luck to you guys this upcoming season. Cheerleader, A couple of facts for you to ponder... 1. The Spurlock kid is not zoned for Riverdale. Is that a problem with you? 2. The Lady Blaze and Lady Warriors split their 4 games last season, each winning twice. The final game was a most important tournament elimination game in which the Lady Blaze spanked the Warriors by 12 points, thus ending their season. GO LADY BLAZE!!!

Riverdale will be very deep this year barring injuries. No doubt about that. I'm not very familiar with Lavergne, but everything I hear is good. After watching Blackman at camps this summer, it is clear to me that they are going to be VERY good this season (once again, barring injuries). At this point, I would lean more toward Blackman winning the District in a very hotly contested season. Time will tell... GO BLAZE!!!

I respect your opinion. I never meant to imply you were disrespecting the 2nd amendment. Nevertheless, I still do not believe the TSSAA (or any other organized body) should dictate policy to the City of Murfreesboro when it comes to complying with Tennessee Law.

Many folks are passionate about their 2nd amendment rights. I don't really believe this makes them crazy. Do you? If someone from society's criminal element brings along a firearm, then I welcome a law abiding gun-toting citizen to be there to even things out. I suppose it's the TSSAA's right to hold Spring Fling wherever they would like. I just hate to see the city of Murfreesboro be bullied into something that flies in the face of Tennessee state law. Just my opinion.
