I am very concerned about Powell's team speed.

I stand corrected. My apologies to the OR faithful. I think this is going to be a really good football game. Definitely the game of the week in East Tennessee.

Oak Ridge, with all it's rich tradition over the years, has never beaten Powell. Granted, they've only met twice. However, until they put it together I have to go with Powell in a close one. Powell seems to be improving week to week. Really good football teams have a tendency to do that. Oak Ridge is getting closer to the power I was used to growing up in Powell. GO PANTHERS!

Given the fact that these 2 wouldn't meet for another 2 weeks, this thread has been a real hoot. Maryville will be there, no doubt about that. Heck, they've only lost 3 games over the past 6 years! If Riverdale makes it that far (and I believe they might), Maryville goes to Riverdale and mops the field with them! It won't even be close! Right it down!!!

I traveled down to The Pit last season to watch this game. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. However, I was not impressed with LC's squad. Blackman had waaaaay too much speed for them last year. I see pretty much the same thing this time around. Blackman by 4 TDs.
