#1 - There is much more to Beech than one player. (although they will have the best one on the field) #2 - They have played a team with a team with the caliber of backs >= to the Bears. The Beech defense is susceptible to giving up big plays to athletic teams. If MJ can make one on one plays vs Hurd, they have a chance to win. If they can not make those plays, Beech will win. Should be a good game.

'97 Clinic Bowl Team. Probably the best team ever at UC even though they lost to Tyner in the championship game in the final minute.

There have been some good athletes to grace the field at Patriot Stadium over the last 10 - 15 yrs. Mr. Hurd was without a doubt, the best running back to play there in a long, long time. While the Beech offensive line was better than average, Hurd accounted for many of his yards with great vision and pure physicality. I hope HC gets to play him again. Not sure there will be enough time for our boys in the weight room before then however.

3500 - 4000 attendance. Beech wins due to youth and inexperience.

Unless attrition is a big factor, especially for the tornadoes, I see a Pirate/Tornado rematch.

My guess is that they are having a change of the locker room keyring holder instead of a changing of the guard. Looks like home town politics won this battle. Hope not for the kids sake.

Has Greenfield hired anyone? Who do you think Trenton may look to for their position?

CAK's QB is not better than Bray at this time, but he will be the best thing to hit a HS field next fall. He made some difficult throws look pretty easy last weekend.

Mobley could play for anyone we played this year. While he lacks the speed of many backs we faced, he makes up for that with his agility and strength. The speed factor is probably why he is not being recruited by the better SEC teams. The Powell offensive line was very good; the best we faced this year. The Powell fans did not give them the rave reviews they deserved. They were the equalizing factor in the game. That is also one of the most difficult things to measure on film.

The only way it is not this bad is if HC does what USJ did; turn it over 3 or 4 times. That is the only way Powell keeps it close enough to have a chance to win.

Not many chances in a thousand that Oak Ridge would even beat Ridgeway this year.

Where have you been FACTS? You have stated things very well in this post. Mobley without a doubt is a very good player. HC and Powell played schedules that were weak. If Allen was the only player, instead of being one of 3 or 4, his stats would be much more impressive. The same could be said of a number of HC players. While I hope this game is close, I doubt it, unless HC commits a number of turnovers.

You do know, don't you, that you just shared your football IQ with all of Coach-T? Are you sure you watched video of Ridgeway?

You must have watched film of HC, Skyline, or Whitehaven. Mobley would also look a lot less impressive against those defenses. He gets to play against one of them this Friday. Then we will all know if those Ridgeway players are as good or not.

He is one of the best in the state. He is just not the best that HC has played this year. Ridgeway had 3 kids of his caliber.

There will be no immediate........unless a few stallions transfer in. Greenfield always had a few good athletes in the past. I would assume there are still some athletes.

Four things I would want to know: 1) Will the community be willing to support a coach that will do the things necessary to build the program? 2) Do the coach's have any issue with sharing athletes? 3) Will the new coach have full administrative support? 4) Will the new coach have at least 2 paid assistants of his choice? If a new coach had community and administrative support for the necessary off-season activities required, a descent program could probably be established.
