According to TSSAA Beech has one(1) win in the playoffs in 5A! They are 1-4 in 5A playoff history, 6-10 overall. Let's see I'm sure the referees had something to do with thwt, didsn't they?

You really are in love with Meadows aren't you? "Another thing, DID YOU STOP MEADOWS????? UMMM NO!!, maybe on one play, the biggest play of the game. " That just shows what Beech is all about. RJ Meadows. If Beech ever learns what the word "team" means then they might have some success in the playoffs. How many 5A playoff games have they won? Let's see, I can't think of any. In 2000 they won the region and lost in round one. In 2001 they got destroyed by Brentwood. Who was it that knocked Brentwood out of the playoffs? Hmm. Let me guess. Beech hasn't been able to win any playoff games because a)referees, b)Meadows was hurt, c) Meadows was still in diapers and hadn't moved up to high schools yet, or d) fans sitting on the visitor side in THEIR OWN STADIUM! The stadium belongs to GALLATIN ! We sit over there for EVERY game, not just Beech! I must say. I am not the least bit surprised by the whining that has taken place by you Beech folks. I hope your players aren't still focused on whining about the Gallatin game this week or they'll get beat again!

So by blocking a blitzing linebacker, Gallatin "started" it? What is he supposed to do? And how do you know why the ref threw the flag? You do realize that kids tend to talk out there? I'm not sure what it was that drew the flag, but I wasn't five feet from it like the ref was. But I'm really hung up on how you said Gallatin "started" it by blocking, that's a new one for me.

Meadows was very cocky. I'll give everyone an example of what GWAVE1 is talking about: After every TD Meadows scored he would sprint from the endzone to about the thirty yard line, arms flailing like an idiot. I give him credit for being a heck of a back, but he needs to get over himself. And he is the ONLY weapon they have. I think it was very fitting that he coughed the ball up when the game was being decided. I don't think he liked to be hit at all. Remember, he fumbled a punt earlier in the game, heard them footsteps. I also think it is ironic that one of the Beech fans said in the other thread earlier this week that they would win "somehow, someway", when it was really they found a way to lose it. GWAVE1 mentioned penalties. Beech had at least three unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. They may have all the heart in the world, but they don't have any sense. Defensively Beech never did really stop Gallatin. As was suspected they are not a great defensive team. They basically hope that Meadows will make more plays then the other team. That is their whole strategy. If he gets hurt then Beech's offense totally dies. We'll find out if they have enough to get by Dickson, but even if they do Brentwood will beat them.

Yeah, I don't get this whole underdog thing Beech is jumping on. This game is like Miami-Florida State. Miami was favored by everybody, but that didn't mean that Miami was overlooking them. It it fair to say that Beech is the underdog, but I don't think it is fair to say that people would be "shocked" if Beech won, just as few people would have been "shocked" if FSU had won. Gallatin breaks down film very well. They will know exactly what to expect from Beech, and vice versa. Everyone is pumped up for this. I don't understand the "Gallatin is overlooking us" mentality. If that were the case would this thread be this long? No. The only team that I would say 'suprised' Gallatin this year was Antioch and the Coker kid. And they shut him down in the second half. Homecoming was a bit of a distraction there. I can't wait for tonight. It should be an awesome atmosphere. And we'll finally have FOOTBALL WEATHER!

Last year Dobyns-Bennett and Brentwood were considered teams that would go a long way and neither team made it to the Quarters, much less Semis or State. Riverdale, you guys should be ashamed if you don't make it back to state. In the east(regions 1,2,3,and 4) Riverdale is the only team with fewer than two losses and they have one themselves. DB, Oak Ridge, Ooltewah, Jefferson Co., all of them are sitting with two or three losses or more. Who can honestly beat Riverdale? (Lincoln Co?)

I think it is interesting that someone started a thread entitled "Riverdale is back" and the first team they start talking about is Gallatin. Hmmm. Makes you wonder huh? Sounds to me like Riverdale doesn't like anyone else getting attention. fan12345, you're right. Gallatin will have a tough road. But the same could be said for everyone, after all the playoffs are supposed to be tough, right?

Sorry guys, but you still haven't said anything. No Buc fan on here has said anything except "Meadows is the best" and "Gallatin hasn't played anybody", and how Beech will win "somehow, someway". All I want is for a Beech fan to tell me why they think Beech will win. But all I get is nasty stuff said towards me. I don't care if you like me. And I don't care who you think is going to win. Sense everyone seems to disagree with me then I'll just defer ro my Beech counterparts' kind of posts. I think Gallatin will win because they have better uniforms and because all the Beech players are too worried about what they are going to do Saturday night. How's that? Is that a better arguement?

There is no discussion, that's the problem. During an election the candidates don't just say "vote for me, I'm the best", they give you a reason. For example: they might say "I am against an income tax, and my opponent supports one". You see, these Beech fans are just saying stuff like "somehow, someway". I guess they are just wishing upon a star or something. OK Beech fans, I'll give you an example of what I am looking for: " Beech can stop Gallatin because their ends do a good job of containing" That is the kind of thing that we in the real world call "supporting your arguement". None of you Beech fans seem to rasp that concept. When you do please chime in.

So if I understand you correctly, then Dickson Co had more heart than Beech, right? Because that is what you are saying wins football games, right? Don't get me wrong. Heart, desire, work ethic, all those things are necessary. But those aren't things that can be compared in a discussion. What do you guys want to do? "I think Beech has more heart because they did 100 push-ups today" "I think Gallatin has more heart because they lifted more weights than Beech did this week" Is that what you want? "Heart" is not something that can be measured. I don't think heart is something that either teams lack. I think everyone on here would agree on that. Heck, Lighthouse Christian probably has a lot of heart, but they haven't won a game have they? So please, if you want to talk about football, let's go. If you want to talk about heart, go to the heart board.

I have given you guys every opportunity to support your side of the arguement and all you guys come up with is "stats don't mean a thing", or "Beech has more heart" and stuff like that. you know, it's funny how guys start saying all the "you're line ain't that good" stuff when they are confronted with true, factual statistics. Well dude, the numbers don't lie do they? If you think Gallatin's line isn't any good then explain the 9-0 record and the 250 yards rushing a game. If you think the defense isn't that good then explain the numbers just1np gave us. Or is logical thought an ability with which you were not blessed?

Bucs, you didn't really help your arguement. If you think Beech is going to win just tell me/us why. McGavock, Hendersinville, and Hunters Lane scored 21,13, and 21 points on you guys respectively. Those teams scored zero, zero, and 14 on Gallatin, repectively. That's a total of 55 to 14. So if your defense couldn't stop those teams, how do you plan to stop Gallatin. Give us some X's and O's. What do you think Beech can do successfully to stop Gallatin from scoring? If you want to debate, you have to give facts that support your arguement. And quit giving all these individual stats. You sound like your brown nosing Meadows. "Mr. Meadows, you're the greatest! I know all your stats. Will you sign my notebook?"

That's 327 yards of total offense against that Big Bad Buc defense. What did Hendersinville get against Gallatin? 141 yards of total offense and ZERO points. And let's not forget the overpowering team of McGavock that ran for over 200 yards against you and scored 21 points. What did McGavock get against Gallatin? 23 yards of total offense. But hey, like you said. Beech's D is tight!

Who is talking trash? Trash talking is when you start calling somebody names, sayin' stuff about their mommas, or stuff like that. we are comparing football teams. If you have an opinion, share it. this isn't the football feild. good sportsmanship isn't necessary here. if someone says something you disagree with then you can choose to ignore them or counter argue. its your choice. I don't think anyone has said anything that I would interpret as "trash". now if you are offended by sarcasm then you are a little thin skinned. Because I've been sarcastic. Have fun trying to put a drive together huh??..lol, It will be fun watching beech put one together and go up and down the field all night. And NO ONE will be able to shut meadows up. Hes GOOD!! As for link being healthy and punting well, yea Gallatin will punt alot, but Beechs punter is better than link, hes the best in the county. Beech also has the best special teams in county, if not the best in the state. But like i said, Meadows will not get stopped, dont you think teams have tried to stop him so far, and have they??? NOPE they havent. I say beech wins 27 - 7 HuntersLane stopped him pretty good. And the rest of the offense. Meadows only had 40 yards on 17 carries. Yeah that 2.35 yards per carry was real impressive. Far more impressive than the 9.2 yards per carry Beech gave up to Barnes in that game. What did he get in that game, 190 yards? Real great D! Hunters Lane held Beech to 160 yards of total offense! Let's see Gallatin ran for 256 yards and threw for 46. Let's see 302 yards offense compared to 160. Hmmm....let me see...Oh wait let me guess... What do you mean "who has Gallatin played"? The best non-region team Beech has played is Dickson Co, and you guys lost to them. I guess you guys are real proud of that big win against Warren Co. Real hard to get a win there, huh? Or maybe you think the win against Lebanon was a big one. Well Gallatin beat them 28-7 at their place. Beech only managed to score 19 on them at Beech! Please! If you think Gallatin is overrated you are goint to have to make a better arguement than that. I want one person to tell me how Beech plans to stop Gallatin's run game. Seriously. You can't put more than eleven guys in the box! And that is exactly what Gallatin has faced. I'm not saying Gallatin is going to run for 300 yards or anything, but come on. If eleven man defensive fronts aren't successful then what is?

The game is at Gallatin. I haven't seen Beech but just looking at that other dudes post, it looks like the Wave has handled the same teams better than Beech has. Hendersinville scored 13 on Beech, none on Gallatin. Hunters Lane almost beat Beech, Gallatin won by three TDs. Those are the other two good teams in the region. beech barely beats both of them, Gallatin beats both of them by double digits. Looks like Gallatin is better
