  1. Just a little nugget- No 5A team has gone back-to-back since '95-'96 Brentwood Academy. And I am not sure that anyone has even made it back in consecutive years since then. But I'm sure the rings are very nice, unfortunately they say "2005".
  2. I think your pretyy close on how you looked at round one. the only thing is i'm not sure antioch will be able to score against DC. gallatin didn't let them move the ball until the subs went in, and DCs defense is just as good. I also like HL over bretwood. HL is like a baseball team that relys on the homerun and brentwood doesn't have any pitching. i think HL will break two or three big plays and win a close one. i think franklin/hendersonville is the closest one to call. it depends on which offense plays the best, cause those two Ds arent going to break. i say flip a coin, its that close. never count out a hatfield coached team in the playoffs
  3. what kind of crap is that? if you want to talk about "padding stats" lets look at this: Five of Ravenwoods six wins came against non-playoff teams. 181 out of 253 points that Ravenwood scored this year came against non-playoff teams. 150 points came against teams with loosing records( combined 8-24). Ravenwood has exactly one win against a playoff team. Now if your not impressed with what gallatin has done this year, fine. but if you flip it on its head and look at ravenwood the same way they look absolutely aweful! gallatin has four wins against playoff teams by the way.
  4. aside from brentwood academy I dont think there is anyone in williamson that can beat the green wave this year. this idea that the region 6 teams are just soooo much better than everyone else is just stupid. they still put eleven players on the field right? or are they so good they only need ten. and all this 'high powered offense' that these teams have? where has it been against anyone good? franklins high score against a team with a winnng record in 5a is 17. wow that is scary. Ravenwood scored 35 against BA, but still couldn't win. 31 against a slumping Indy team. DC scored a bunch against Indy as well, but not much against anyone else good. And brentwood-the most points they scored against a winning team was 21. And that was to smyrna and they lost- we saw what kind of defense they had against riverdale- hello 49 points. so really, where is all this offense when it really matters? as far as ravenwood vs gallatin- that'll be a great game everyone knows that. but we'll see tonight how good the raptors offense is. if DC shuts them down then Gallatin will do the same thing. i would say good luck to all- but thats not my stile
  5. I thought the battle for the Boro was in the spring when the schools sign their latest recruits.
  6. The difference between Gallatin winning and Hendersinville winning was Red Zone offense. Gallatin scored a pair of TDs when they got in the redzone. hendersinville had TWO first and goal situations in the second half and only got 3points out of it. the commandos just dont have much of an offense when they threw the ball it was always to the same guy, and when they ran the ball it was like they were trying to get out of bounds, scared to get hit. Ill give 'em credit though, they didn't let Link beat them. they let Harris beat them. I think he had like 120 yards. Great job Green Wave! Commandos, get ready for Antioch, cause if you can't stop Harris, you definitly wont stop Coker!
  7. No, its HenderSINville. And its phishhead.
  8. For a minute there I thought you were going to say that Beech was excellent too. I would have enjoyed that, I haven't had a good laugh in a while.
  9. I think Dickson takes region 6, Gallatin takes region 5, and Riverdale owns region 4. Not sure about the rest, but DB and G-town look tough.

    HHS vs BHs

At least Hendersinville hasn't lost to two 4A schools....HA!
  11. The Beech folks were just starting to talk trash again. Too bad...back in the L column.
  12. Hendersinville hasn't beaten anybody. At first their win against Hunters Lane looks impressive, but Hunters Lane hasn't beaten anybody either. They have beaten four 4A schools, McGavock, and Beech(who beat Hendersinville). So I think this one is ALL Gallatin.
  13. I understand what the dude is talking about. Gallatin should have lost to Smyrna, but they got lucky. Maybe they need a loss to wake them up before they find there season over! lovethatwave, please tell us which other posters you think are "idiots". I'm sure ###### people off is what your about. So don't be shy now. If your gonna start trouble, start it with me, I LOVE trouble. I dont see anyone else on here from Gallatin trying to start things, why are you? Please, if that is the way you think GHS should be represented then dont post! PS- if you really want, you could start one of those nifty little polls and see how many people think YOU are an idiot!
