Owls move to 5a....should owls be better or worse?

Supposedly owls move down to 5-a? if so will they be any better than last year?

Yes and no It does water it down and gives alot of schools and coaches a undeserving championship,by doing little or nothing to fill their trophy case and "EVEN BIGGER EGOES"(I could open a can worms with that)....,but in defense of some smaller schools that do not have full line up of wrestlers and do not have a "REAL" wrestling coach(but are truly doing the right thing)trying to help some young kid wrestle and provide some sort of foundation for the kids..I would like to see something to help THESE KIDS AND SCHOOLS!! FOR EXAMPLE: Tyner,Sale Creek etc...Coach Turner and his asst.coach Dilliard try very,very hard,but aren't wrestling coaches,PERIOD!!,but go way above and beyond what is expected of a coach.Look at Sale Creek they are wedged between major powerhouses of WRESTLING(SODDY,CLEVELAND,BRADLEY)Throw in red bank and think how hard it is for them to do anything involving sports!!! I dont know what the answer is right now,but Tennessee is in one heckuva spot right now.,.Good or bad-right or wrong.

In the season ending game between the 2 pre-season picks for district supremacy....you have 2 of the worst teams in district(record wise) going head to head for absolutely NOTHING!!! Seniors last game ever.Owls were a play here,a play there from being 8-1 or better coming into this game.Mcminn just had a bad year on offense.,.defense is a pretty good. Injuries riddled both teams...so with that,I'm taking Ooltewah 35-21 maybe even a shootout game 42-35 either way.Records do not reflect both these teams potential and misfortune. Good luck to both teams.

Goose Manning and R.Freeman are freakin STUDS!!,if owl recvrs caught half the balls thrown to them owls win!!!!...but as usual,they didn't and owls lose. Cleveland won with class...congrats to them. Good luck raiders........

Soddy should win.....

Only 2 or 3 players care,if owls even win..NO EMOTION AT ALL!! When coach Williams did call good plays,Owls can't execute.Goose Manning threw 15-20 passes and didn't complete one(80% were DROPPED!)Ooltewah had kids laughing and playing on sidelines,cutting up pushin and shoving each other.Goose didn't touch the ball(rushing whole first half)...Goose was running for his life entire ball game.Randall Freeman fought for every yard.Ooltewah gave up..no heart at all.......Williams does have his hands full with injuries and youth.Jacquez Smith showed up and gave half time speech,THAT DIDN'T EVEN WORK!!!! I WILL BE PULLING FOR BEARS FROM HERE ON OUT.....I LIKED THIER ENTIRE APPROACH.

If Goose and Freeman get hot early...it will be a good game to watch for football fans,if not bradley wins.

Owls are still without 3 starters.....a BIG if,if owls could find the intensity,they had against Tyner-AE,this game wouldn't even be close,but since Ooltewah continuely comes out flat with no emotions etc...owls will get kicked in mouth and playoff hopes will be over!

I thought,I understood it all...someone help me out on this.Cleveland and walker valley are 5a,everybody else in our district is 6a come playoff time......so with that:are only the top 2 teams in our district going(say for example:.. soddy-6a and cleveland-5a)or top 2 in 6a and just 1 5a team(which would be cleveland) and is there a wildcard anymore?i'm more worried about Ooltewah/soddy/bradley/rhea,because someone is gonna get screwed.

Ooltewah is such a up and down team this year? They have enough talent to be undefeated and go deep into the playoffs,but haven't found the right mix of players and play-calling,yet.

Just watched video of the game.First off to "thepylon"...if the score could have been worse,it would have.2nd:Rebels have a good team(not a great team).,.for 2nd straight week Ooltewah made thier opponent look good.(and before soddy and franklin start going off)I'm not taking anything away from either of you.Owls made mistakes both teams capitalized.trojans and rebels did thier job.However the OOLTEWAH OWLS have not done their jobs,PERIOD!! The owls are so predictable on offense its laughable(unless your Goose Manning,then your crying).if changes aren't made with the interior of the O-line forget everything else.When we finally get a play off( depending on whether or not the coaches can get it in before a delay of game)it is up to the players to CATCH THE BALL(especially passes that continually hit recvrs in the hands),BLOCK SOMEONE,RUN HARD!!!!! We keep giving opponents every way possible to beat us,then put it all on one young man on offense to do it all and continually asking a our defense to hold people out of the endzone,when they are out on the field most of the game.Owls have all the makings of really good team,but if we dont get it together QUICK!!!...forget playoffs. Owls have a team talented enuff to make playoffs and win a couple. Go owls!!!!
