  1. Well, that is just plain crazy! That was obviously a big accomplishment for DB players. They definitely deserved to win the regular season last year and should be proud. Now just build on that. Grace has a young team this year and are still working out the kinks, but I honestly believe they have the ability to win district again this year and even go further. It will be exciting to see how it all turns out. Good luck to all the teams in 5A!
  2. Did you really think that comment through? Why are you so down on Grace? If someone from our school has been rude to you I would like to personally apologize for their behavior. I know you don't actually think that everyone at GBA is cocky with bad attitudes. Our players take pride in thier sports and should always be representing our school with Godly attitudes. I'm sure their are those from Grace who have acted inappropriately, but you will find people like that in every school on God's green earth! If you want to point out those who behaved in that way then name them and stop accusing all people at Grace as being cocky! As a Grace fan I love to watch all our players and have fun cheering them all on to victory......... GO GRACE!
  3. You have to earn respect. When you are winning consistently then you will get all the respect you deserve. Everytime DB or Silverdale gets a win in anything against Grace they expect everyone to bow down in awe! Quit whining about it and just keep up the good work. If you would look back at some of my posts you will find that I have always given credit where credit was due. We all know that you can't stay on top forever, (even when you cheat) so by DB and Silverdale trying to beat Grace only makes them better by working towards a goal. Grace appreciates the new found competition. It keeps them on their toes and makes for some good games to watch!

  5. 1. Grace 2. David Brainerd (If Williams arm doesn't fall off) 3. Copper Basin 4. Silverdale 5. Temple Just my opinion, of course!
  6. Thanks, didn't know they played yesterday. We beat DB 10-1....I would have thought it would have been worse than that against LV. Who pitched for LV?
  7. What tc start in the valley are you referring to?
  8. You're right 'Iroot', but we'll take 'em. This week will be a true challenge, but I don't think we need to do anything but just relax and play ball. These games don't mean anything towards district. If we win district then we will eventually have to face Lookout Valley. Grace is finally getting it together.....good luck the rest of the season!
  9. Congrats to Grace on their doubleheader wins last night! Looks like Grace has finally got it together and are making a real run for the district. After the DB win over CB last night, Grace is now in the lead. Only Silverdale to go. Grace your fate is in your hands alone! Keep up the hard work to the finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Doctored Bats!

How can anyone spot one of these bats? Is it how the ball comes off the bat? Is it a give away when most of the team uses the same bat? What do you look for?
  11. Rose is definitely their ace pitcher but they also have others who can get the job done. You have to remember that in the last time we played DB our pitcher did what he was suppose to do. It was tied 0-0 in the fifth inning with 2 outs and Grace had an error that let DB get the edge and start the ball rolling. Also, Rose, Ruebush and Box were not in the game to hit or help out in the field. That would have made a difference too. Anyway, DB has a good team and should be proud of all they have accomplished in such a short time. All my earlier posts were not making excuses for our lose but simply explaining that the enitre team was not present and that would make a difference the next time they would meet. I was right! I sure hope that DB's pitcher iced his arm and shoulder after throwing over 150 pitches. What was that all about? The game was never close so why risk hurting his arm.
  12. Who said DB didn't have our attention. We know you are bound to lose if you overlook any apponent. Once again, I have never got on here to make excuses for when Grace loses any game. All I said was that Grace didn't have all their key players when they played DB and the other first 2 games of the season. Now, if they get beat by 6 or more runs the next time then you will not hear a word from me. How would DB do if they didn't have their top pitcher and top 3 batters in a game against us? This is all I am saying about this subject since it seems to be getting a little absurd! Now, with that said, congrats on your new field....we look forward to playing on it Saturday!
  13. Why are you so angry DB02? For someone who is not a baseball type "guy" you are sure on here talking alot about baseball. Maybe you just hate Grace....that's my guess. Take your hostility out on some other board and leave this one to the baseball lovers. I know you don't know much about baseball since in one of your last posts you referred to the guy on the mound as a "picture". Oh yeah, last year we got the one for district champs, again!
  14. Rose. 13k's, he hit a 3 run homer. The team as a whole were hitting the ball and had zero errors! They are ready for DB!
  15. Thanks! Good luck to LV this year!
  16. Grace plays Copper Basin Mon/Tue. We shall see.............
  17. First of all, don't just assume that I'm a man! Second of all, I have never made excuses for why Grace has lost at anything. Grace has lost many times over and I wouldn't call them sore losers. They love their school and are very passionate about their sports. They try hard to win, and since they do it often that is why others love to jump on them when they think they have an edge or when they get beat by Grace, AGAIN! I think Temple is a great school that has alot to be proud of. I attended Temple University myself. Grace, Temple, Silverdale and David Brainerd have a unique situation in that they are all good schools working for the same goal. We are each competitive and want to beat the others. I for one love watching them all play. Third, and last, I think that when we get down to the districts is what really matters......if DB is still winning, them hats off to them! But, I don't think it will end like they or you want it to!
  18. The freshman pitcher did a great job, but the coach had no other choice. Rose and Ruebush both were out. They will be playing, Lord willing, the next game. Again, I'm not making excuses, all I said was is that was not a true measurement of Grace's team. Not having Rose, Ruebush and Box in the line up hurt us at bat. The pitcher did a fine job keeping Grace in the game. DB is doing well this year I will give them credit for that. And by the way, I don't really give a flip how tired you get at hearing Grace's parents/coaches on here defending their boys. GET OVER IT!!!!!
  19. Thanks coach, nuff said!!!
  20. What is that teaching the players....if you lose, then life is over? I know you want to win every game you play, but that is totally impossible. Take your lumps and try again. IMO it only looks like you are a sore loser, it's that simple. If the coach wanted to get across that 2nd wasn't good enough then he should have taken the trophy to remind the players how they felt when they lost and to never let it happen again. By leaving that trophy it will only remind the other teams involved of what they did and to go after them even harder the next time they meet! People will not forget!
  21. Woodshed, not hardly. How is getting beat 7-1 with a freshman pitching, playing first and without their 2 best hitters and their best pitcher? I hope DB is thinking like you, t4life..........cause the second game will be nothing like the first!
  22. Who cares what they do with the trophy when they leave. Using it as a motivational tool would be a great lesson to teach your players. By leaving it at the tournament just shows you have a bad attitude and disrespect for the people who put all the hard work into that tournament for you! Farragut has a great team and it shows how hard they work to be the best. Players can learn alot from losing too!
  23. No excuses there 't4life', just facts.....First of all, Grace has done well in their division for more than a couple of years. We know that when you are on top that there is always someone there ready to knock you down. We have been more than happy to give everyone such aspirations and goals.....It keeps us working harder too. Secondly, DB won a good game the other night, but that was in no way a true measurement of Grace's teams ability. Grace has a young team this year and they are still working out the kinks. Not to mention that 2 of their best batters were not present neither was their pitcher. And last but not least, anything can happen in a baseball game....I guess we will see who wants it the most! Grace is looking forward to a good injury free baseball season for all the teams. See ya there!
