In fact, Hood never spit in that young man's face, and funny that that same athlete quit the next week because he was not a starter and was angered at Coach Stevens. Another rotten apple lying, and it hurt a Coach's opportunity at the time. I assure you that Hood is one of the best coaches in the state, and with three state titles he can sure back it up. Plus he is bringing a 3 time offensive coordinator of the year with him. Todd has only worked hard all his life, and I personally am happy for him. This should have happened ten years ago, but Montgomery County only hires great coaches from out of state and city. Maybe this county needs to look in the mirror, and stop protecting their own and hire good men like Todd. A christian man, educated, a family man, and a father to many young men over the past 17 years in Montgomery County. Ask any former player they will say the following: - Was hard on me! - Pushed me to my limits, and then asked more from me! - Never gave up on me, and allowed me a second chance! - Will stop and check on me today if I needed him! Coach Northwest from 94 - 01 (assistant head coach/d-coor) Montgomery Central from 02 - 05 (assistant head coach/d-coor/o-coor) Northwest from 05 - 06 (assistant head coach/d-coor) Fort Campbell from 07 - 10 (special teams coor/ 3 state titles) He is not only a great coach, but he is a great man that cares about family, friends, God, and making a difference in the lives of everyone that crosses his path in life. A mentor, a leader, a father, and the greatest hire in the county since Marshall Paterson. If you have any doubts about Coach Hood just meet him, and then you will become a fan of Coach Hood. It has been almost 20 years on a long road, and finally someone gives this man the chance to prove to the state how good he is as a coach and a man.

Coach Myers is a bigger man, Coach Southerland use to wear a visor and is in a fraternity, Coach Fite is a muscle bound young and energetic man. Don't forget about the 5 other coaches on staff. From what I am hearing, this staff works well together with one goal. To play disciplined football! Seems as if salmoides knows these coaches well, with some hard feelings to these gentlemen. Does your team play Coach Myers and his Yellow Jackets this year?

Watch out for the construction on Dover Road near the Stewart County/Montgomery County line, and construction near Stewart County High School/Papa Rock areas. Cones are everywhere. Plus Dover Road near the City of Dover is a speed trap near the bridge entering Dover and through the town. They will ticket you if you are over the speed limit. Plus Clarksville Traffic is horrible around 4 in the evening when everyone from Ft. Campbell and the city get off. You may want to leave as soon as you can to beat all the traffic. Henry County is good, and will be tough to beat. Just still see Gallatin winning a close game in the forth quarter to pull the upset. After seeing both teams play this year, I just think the edge is to the Green Wave. Turn out the lights, Patriot's party is once again over!

Would love too, but headed to see Fort Campbell play this week. Shorter drive, and they have a Kentucky Signee at QB. Would love to have seen Henry County Play this group. They are 2A, but have won 2 state titles the past two years. Remind me alot of last years Patriot team, but more aggressive like this years defense. That is just uncalled for in my opinion! As for the game itself! I also have enjoyed this years talk with the Henry County faithful. This fan base is truly red and white 100% with pride. Gallatin better bring some green, but if Henry County was smart they would do a red out for the game. Talking about excitement. A big part of me wants Gallatin to pull the win, but another part believes the Patriot fan base deserve this win. My only concern is hearing how good their team is if they win state. Man that will suck for the next year. However, if you are a Gallatin fan you will appreciate the kindness given at the game, because this website does not give you a full respect for the Patriot fans. Those fans that tailgate and offer their own to opposing fans are what make Patriot Pride so special. Trust me, these Patriot fans will great you with kindness and respect. WR's - were a C until Friday night, but now B+ OL - B+ DL - A ILB's - B OLB's - remember #2 is in that bunch, A++ QB - A+++ RB's - A Kicker - B+ This makes for a team that should win the state. I think this game will be a field goal in the forth. Wathing Gallatin I score them as follows: WR's - B OL - B DL - B+ ILB's - B+ OLB's - A QB - B+ RB's - A Kicker - B+ So this makes an even match up in my opinion. The more I think, and the way the defense dominated the Jackets Friday, I think the game still comes down to a field goal.

Come on therealgame, I know I mess with the Patriot faithful, but you cannot deny that Shonte should be a finalist. Great QB and plays defense too. When he missed those games the team struggled, but with him they may just win the state with the Steel Curtin Defense. If there was a 5A mr football, I bet he would be a favorite. TSSAA messed up yet again.

Do they account grades and community service in the voting process? This should be a requirement too!

On a different note, Henry County RB, QB and NG got screwed in the Mr Football voting. All but one of the finalist are 6A. why did TSSAA forget about 5A talent? If the playoffs move to 6 classifications then so should the Mr Football finalist. I will say Henry County got the short end of the deal.

I do not like this new mr football selection. If the playoffs split up into 6 sub groups, then so should mr football selection. I feel that each true class is not getting their respect. Each classification should get their own mr football. Just look at 3A. All but one are 6A players. I can honestly say Henry County got screwed in this new selection. They have a stud QB and RB and NG that is a stud. However, the reclassification to 3 classifications in regular season does not do any student athlete justification when the playoffs move to 6 classifications. TSSAA truly did screw up on this one!

You cannot place weight on half the games played this year! With the condition of fields early to week 10, it allowed bad teams to win and good teams to lose. Point in hand is the Henry County vs. Clarksville game or the Gallatin vs Hendersonville game. Those games were nasty to play in. However, the playoffs have been dry and it will set up a good opportunity for both teams to show off their weapons. This one leaves no excuses, and still believe Gallatin will nudge the Patriots by 7. From what I saw, that field is in great condition to play. Good job by field crew!

Thank you, and I still agree that Henry County is the type of atmosphere I hope to see in the near future in Clarksville schools. Northwest, Clarksville, Rossview, and Northeast are working on it. Friday nights game vs Gallatin was standing room, and the town is excited about our new region. We are just giving it time!

therealgame, thank you, and if it were not for the Henry County teams of the world then who would we love to hate. I will agree it is always the good teams people dislike. Now those true Patriot fans that allowed my family to enjoy that good food is what makes your team great. Those fans that cursed my family as we walked to the concession stand make many dislike your program. My wife was shocked to see students and parents speak to them that way in front of children. However, this does not change the way I see that group that sat and chatted under the tent. You know where I am talking about, and they are CLASS acts. Made us feel right at home!
