Was that the worst officiating you have ever seen? Can you believe they gave Allen a technical. I thought we had bad officials in our area, but man those guys take the prize.

That's nothing one of our players got a technical for yelling at his team mate to rebound and the ref thought he was complaining about not calling a foul and teed him up. Even the fans heard him, but no reversal.

I hate the move because half of the officials doesn't know it when they see it, and half the kids are doing it wrong. Once you have made the advancement to the jump and land a lot of players go on and do a lay up or a single step into a shot. That is a walk. Some players will skip into the jump that to is a walk and the reason most officials don't call travel is they go to a jump thinking it's okay.

I think if T$$AA is going set the guide line for the size of gym you have to have for hosting District or Regional games then they should also help fund the schools to get a bigger gym. The only schools big enough to host now is Chuckey Doak (new) Cumberland Gap (new) Claiborne County (new) Union County 2 years ago it was just Union County, maybe Claiborne not sure of the old gyms size. I agree when it comes to District or regional or Sub State even Make it neutral But hey, the T$$AA is a joke of an organization anyway, we have all seen the same type of rule, it's called communism.

Well I want Pigeon Forge to win it all, but you have to throw the season out the window when it tournament time. I think any of the top 5 teams could walk away from it. Think about it, I know I have heard people say at our gym " we have CG first game" but I believe there are few CG fans saying " we PF first game" as well. Other than the close one with South Greene PF boys are still playing good and tonight against Cocke County they played with all seniors starting and playing most of the game (Senior Night). This was not our regular rotation and still got it done. CG won at home and got beat at our house, so who has the advantage? No home court, just pure gritt and who ever wants it bad enough. I think this is what make district 2AA so good. Most the teams are equal and there is no one team that is dominate. Good Luck to all and may the best "Tiger" team win.

I think Parkey only had 5 that game as well. Our team has had 6 or 7 different leading scorers all year long. All of our starting players have been the highest scorer 2 or 3 times this year. That is what makes our team special. Who are you going to shut down? Because they are getting it done inside and outside. Good fundamental ball Claiborne is a good group of girls and I think we will have to bring our A game to the tournament to win because district 2AA is tuff.

No make up for Pigeon Forge, but they play Cocke County tonight Seymour Tuesday & Clinton Friday.

Lets see Pigeon Forge High School is only in its 5th year of Varsity play and it is only Graduated 2 classes so far. In the past 3 years they have been in the top 2 spots of the district and one of their guards is playing college ball and so will 3 of the 4 Seniors this year. South Greene, Rutledge, & Claiborne are all great programs and have a long history of great players, but lets stick to the topic. The thread was " is PF guards as good as CC. and the answer is better.

Claiborne girls are good, I am not taking anything away from them, but if you are going to start a thread asking if Pigeon Forge's guards are as good as Claibornes I will have to say NO. True Pigeon Forge has a well rounded team in Post & Guard play and for someone to say we are only better because of our Post Players, I would have to ask what happened when Claiborne played Rutledge, Chuckey Doak, Gatlinburg Pittman, West Greene, & South Greene because Claiborne lost to them as well.

Are you serious? Shouldn't the question be, is Claibornes as good as Pigeon Forge? Lets see PF is 16-0 in the district going into the tournament, they beat Claiborne twice. I would have to say they are at least as good as them. Wouldn't you? I know this has to be a joke of a thread.

The officials were bad on both ends of the ball. They made just as many bad calls on Pigeon Forge as they did South Greene. I believe if more guys on the floor would score when they had the ball other than Allen then it would have opened up the game more for him. SG did a great job the 2nd half keeping him from scoring from the 3 point area. Whether a student (male or female) is on the dance team is really irrelevant to this thread or how the team played. At least he is doing something he likes instead of getting on a forum and making fun of others. Grow up. That's a good way to get this thread closed for your childish attitude. If you don't have anything positive to say about a student, then please don't post on this thread anymore so we can continue with this thread that has carried us thru the season. thumb

Congrats to SG for a good win tonight. If PF could hit their free throws it could have been a different out come. All I can say is this district tournament will be a great one.

BIG Game this Friday in Tiger Land. Can Pigeon Forge keep the winning streak going? I hope so. Big game for the girls as well. Can they go undeafeted in the district? I "really" hope so.

What happened? Where was the "BIG KAHUNA" off eating cocunuts? Good win for Rutledge, now what happens if PF beats South Greene Friday? Who will be where in the standings for the top 4?

I wasn't commenting on the District Rankings, they are going to be what they are according to the wins, but going into Regionals you take the top 4 teams from the tournament. Playing on a neutral court with Pigeon Forge playing as well as they are right now I wouldn't count them out. I think Pigeon Forge has a tough game coming this Friday with South Greene coming to town, but if Allen gets hot again, it could be a long ride home for the South Greene. I just heard our boys beat West Greene by around 40 points. Not sure of the final score.

Just wondering, but why isn't Pigeon Forge in the line up? They are playing strong right now and they are the defending District Champs. They have won their last 7 games beating Rutledge, CG, UC, CC, & CD

I think Elizabethton should be higher on the poll as well. They are a good team and have got some great wins over big schools

I admit we lost, but the thread is Mt. Juliet and DCA and if they are wanting to play MJ just on their record, then they don't even compare to MJ.
