Powell beat Central this morning 9-0.

I have to go with Oak Ridge on that side. But I would pick Powell before Central.

I am glad to see Seymour have the success they are having this year. I have only seen them play once and that was a pre-season game against Powell. Powell lead 3-0 until about 15 minutes left in the game when the Powell coach took out the entire varsity and Seymour scored 3 goals against the JV. I say this because Powell has never been a strong program so I did not expect to see them have this kind of record this early along with a quality win over Oak Ridge. I wish the Eagles the best of luck this year

We all know who the strongest teams in knoxville are. Tradition shows this year after year but I would like to know if there are any teams out there that could suprise us.

I was not going to comment about the "dirty hit" on the OR player because I was not at the game until the remark about the Powell coach. I have been a ref in this area for quite a while and have been involved in many games with Powell. This coach is one of the best up and coming coaches in the area and I can say without a doubt he is not that kind of coach.

To my knowledge the Powell keeper is just a soph. That kid is unreal, I understand that the game was tied after regulation after he had saved over twenty shots on goal. He is going to be fun to watch for a couple of more years.

I agree with you 100%. Some of these numbers that show up in the paper as saves are crazy. Some coaches that report these saves must count any ball that the keeper touches as a save.

Powell 4 Seymour 1

The powell vs seymour game should be a very close game and could go either way. I did see seymour play at the Katie Hunter and they looked strong in that game. Powell has quite a bit of talent but has not been able to put the ball in the net. I would hate to have to pick a winner.

Respect is earned not given, that goes for coaches ,players and parents. I would like to ask mano a question. Lets make this hypothetical, if your daughter played for any coach who showed characteristics that are against your opinion of good ethics, and judgement as a parent. Do you as a parent support this coach no matter what? It looks like by reading this site that a lot of posters make the Powell parents out to be some kind of problem. I know for a fact that they are a good bunch of parents that work hard to support there team. I just don't think you can automatically have the opinion of support your coach ,no matter what.

I really am not that familiar with the teams in the Chatt area, so I have know idea how strong ND is but after watching Webb in the jamboree it is evident they are extremely weak this year. I watched them play Powell's jv and it ended in a 1-1 tie, they only had 12 players then.

I think the Clinton playday was last weekend. Does anyone know who was in it or results?
