  1. I wont be surprised............. you have a very good team, but someone somewhere will find a way to stop your twins, as good as they are. Smart coaching wins more games than people think it does. After watching HC play MC, there is something lacking there, they seem disjointed and dont play as a team, and they are not subbing in their second string big men. I thought HC would give yall a run for your money, but not if they dont come together. As to the recruiting remark, I know where the twins came from, and how they got here. Its justified. No matter how many years ago it was.
  2. Houston County returns 2 starters, they are young but have a lot of talent. I think they may surprise some people this year. they have a freshman point guard that I saw playing middle school ball that may see some playing time this year that shows real potential. Shes a real ball handler, and can pull up and hit the 3s if she cant get it inside.
  3. The Skeleton boy from HC should be a force this year, he has improved greatly over the summer. I think there is a relation to Brian Skeleton, not sure how. With him and Spurgeon down low, they should be a force to reckon with. And it goes without saying that Dillard is going to be in the mix. The Featherstone boy is also a very good ballplayer, and the Cooksey boy running point is quick as lightning. HC also has a deep bench. Cant wait to see them play. I think 10A is going to be very interesting this year.
  4. They might win district, but they will never win region.
  5. I saw CA play last year and at camp, they weren't missing that many starters. It was also my understanding that Sam had originally not intended to play this season, and thats why he wasnt at camp. He has since changed his mind. Starters or no, its going to get interesting. Its a shame the other schools cant recruit like CA though. They have to make do with home grown boys, lol
  6. I heard the only one out was the pg, ? Sam? I think his name is. As I said before, I think it will come down to fouls, we shall see.
  7. I dont know how many players were out, but I saw CC play at the MC camp, and they surprised me. I dont think they will win the district this year, but I did see alot of improvement from last season, and I do think they will win games.
  8. I think Houston County will give CA a run for their money. Its going to be a toss up, and I also think foul trouble with their big men will be the deciding factor. I have seen both teams play, and if the CA twins getinto foul trouble, theres no one on the bench to cut their slack, whereas HC does have big men who can play and help out if their big men get into trouble. Also, it goes without saying, Ethan Dillard will always be in the thick of things, along with the Featherstone boy. CA did beat HC at the MC camp, but not by much I heard, and also, Spurgeon was out due to an injury in the loss. Should be an interesting season.
  9. I disagree with you on one point, Houston County has a deeper bench than CA, I would put them on top of the district. They have 3 big boys that can come off the bench and hang with the twins if the starters get into foul trouble, if the twins overload on fouls, they have no one to replace them. How does McEwen look this year? They are the only team I havent seen in action.
  10. Lizzie Walker, Cheatham County She was in the stars shadow last year, but watch for her to break out this year. If Carr has any sense he will make her pg, she can make things happen on the floor. JMO
  11. Rumor mill has it the new coach is from Northwest HS, Sam.......... dont know the last name. Just a rumor for now
  12. any word yet on who is going to coach the girls?
  13. Houston County has improved, as to state level, I dont know, but they are Big, with quick guards, and a deep bench. They show alot of improvement from last year. CA is also big and quick, I think what will make or break these 2 teams, is if their big guys can stay out of foul trouble, I have seen both teams play, and this is going to be a weak point, Houston County does seem to have a deeper bench in this regard. It will be an exciting season.
  14. He taken another position in ? Kentucky? I heard.
  15. Inside men tend to get in foul trouble. you dont think CA's twins will do the same? I saw them last year, and while they are very athletic, I do think this could be their weak point. What about McEwen this year, Anyone seen them?or Nashville Christian?
  16. Who can stop CA's twins? I hear they are ball playing machines. I heard Houston was big this year, varsity and varsity b, of course the dillard boys abilities go without saying, but dont they have a pretty good pg in the cooksey boy?
  17. How does Houston County look this year? better than last year I hope
  18. How did it turn out? Who looks good this year?
