Gordonsville has THE BEST fan base in the whole state. I do not care if it is 1A or 6A, ours beats them all. From all the Tiger coaches and players We say thank you. Y'all are awesome and we know y'all will turn out next week like you've done for 13 weeks. We love y'all. We the team are a brotherhood but the crowd and the team are a FAMILY! Lets go Tigers and bring home the gold back to where it belongs!!!

Tyler Coen from Gordonsville is very well deserving. I have never seen a junior that has given all his credit for this award to his fellow teammates and coaches. The first thing he said when he was told was thank you to each and everyone of his teammates and coaches. Perfect! Blevins is well deserving as well but I would really like to see Coen get it because he is from Gordonsville. Good luck to all!

All i can say is Gordonsville in 1A. Yes they have not had a challenge in quite a while but they are excited to be in the upper quadrant away from South Pitt. Their main goal was to get South Pitt at home. This year they did as South Pitt is a #3 seed and Gordonsville a #2. It will be a very competitive top half of the 1A playoffs. Since Gordonsville will be at home expect the Roar. There is more hype in Gordonsville for this game then there has ever been for any other team this year but Smith County because of the rivalry. I honestly believe this is our biggest rival as we always meet up with them in the playoffs with usually the winner taking the gold. All I can say is lets get ready to rumble in the jungle. GO GVILLE!!!!

look for the 2012 Gordonsville Tigers to be making some noise as well. This group lost only three people last year one being the catcher Fitts #2. Also they return 7 starters to the team including four full time starters in their rotation. Look for the Tigers to make some noise in a tough district that includes Friendship and Trousdale County.

Along with Payton Watson from Gordonsville, the committee should also take a look at the stats of Vincent "Nike" Escobedo SR. WR/DB. He has been Watson's favorite target all year as you can see by these stats: REC:35 YDS:627 AVG. YPC: 17.91 TD RECEPTIONS: 6. DEFENSIVELY: TACKLES: 20 INT: 1 No doubt with these stats he will definetly be an All Region selection and at this pace maybe even an All State contender. In many peoples' opinions he is the play maker for the Tigers and if you have any doubt just watch the films of his games! The Tigers will continue to roll into the playoffs with the momentum of these two young men along with McCoy, Coen, and the three headed monster at running back of Coleman, Keaton Cason, and Kaelin Cason will make a deep run through them if not to the state title game. GO BLUE!

I will agree G'VILLE jr.high needs to have a jr.high baseball tm to get them reayd for high school but there is a babe ruth league that starts up at th end of april and goes til june if makes all-stars goes to travel ball toplay teams from gallitin,lebanon,sparta,dekalb,hartsville,and etc.

our football team is very young. Chase Malone will be the starting QB. also the new Hb is Cody Woodmore a 6'1" 200lb. sophomore. i don't kno anthing else except that this yrs tm is very young and will be alot bigger nxt yr as we add our 30-40 8th graders from jr.hgih in the 2009- season.
