  1. MOJO, I have just about heard enough from you. I try not to get personal on this thing and I know I have even said in the past that you shouldnt get personal. But I dont have a child playing, so I dont feel like if I call someone out it will be that big of a deal... I have alot I want to write but theres to much good football a TV right now to say it all.. My advice to you my friend is show a little class, and do your job, be a dad and sit in the stands and route your son on. Stop getting on here and complaining about his lack of playing time, I promise you your not hepling his cause.
  2. Guys, I said early in the week be careful what you write on here, because you never know who reads this board. And it sounds like it all came to a head last night. Like it or not, right or wrong, the coaches can play who they want. And if the gap between two kids is close, and one kids dad has been running his mouth on here it might have an effect on their decision. Im not saying its right, but it happens. Unfortunately, there are a number of "arm chair quarterbacks" at Blackman and for some reason they feel like they should have some say in what goes on during the games on Friday night. As a parent its your job to support your child, not try and coach from the stands. The fact is its a good thing the Blaze won these first two games, because now the real schedule starts. They wont play two more teams like LaVergne and Lincoln Co. We'll find out alot more about the Blaze the next few weeks.
  3. Oakland Lincoln Co Gallatin Riverdale Brentwood Wilson Cen Siegel Hillwood Alcoa Hendersonville
  4. I simply stated my opinion about how many games I feel they are capapble of winning. I have never called anybody out personally on here. All I was trying to do was ask you to think before you post.
  5. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Guys, why are either one of you two even mentioning names on here? The Blackman program is already laughed at around the county, the last thing anybody over there needs is two daddy's getting on here and taking shots at eachother. You need to think about the type of people that read but do not post on these boards. I guarantee you that every coach not only at Blackman but around the county/state read these boards are are reading everything you two are saying to one another. Thats not even including all the kids that get on here. So before you post just think about the coaches that may never say anything to you about it, but know the the back of their heads what you are writing and have written in the past. Also think about the kids, and how your words may effect them. Just show a little class. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Guys, if Blackman cant score but 5 points against a LaVergne team that just returned 2 starters what makes you think their offense is suddenly going to come alive Friday night? Until I see improvement from the offense I got to go with Lincoln Co. LCHS 14 Blackman 7
  7. Whats new? All these samethings have been said about the Blaze offense for the past few years. Why should this one be any different. Dont expect the Blaze to win more than 2 or 3 games. Hate to be so rough, but thats just the way it is.
  8. Its called week 0 for a reason Sieglegrad... More times than not the team that takes care of the football and executes on special teams wins during these games. Its not as much coaching as first week jitters. Thats just how the game is. You wait until next week in College Footballs opening week. Most of the games wont be pretty, but the teams that protect the football and execute on special teams will come out victorious. Neither team was particularly sharpe in this one, but OHS made the fewer mistakes and they won the football game. I think you would hear either coach say those exact words. Both of these teams will continue to get better throughout the year, and will probably both be standing there come playoff time. As for the QB situation at RHS... I for one was very impressed with the kid at RHS. I thought he really carried his football team, especially in the second half. Just try and imagine making your FIRST ever start in that type of aymosphere. Considering it all I thought he played pretty darn well. SiegelGrad, enjoy your win over Smyrna and I wish the stars the best of luck this season. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  9. Who will be the first one on this board to start bashing Coach A??? Well let me be the first one to stand up for the man. The fact is two good football teams played tonight, and unfortunately one of them had to lose. Dont be surprised if these two teams finish 1 2 in the region and meet again in the playoffs. So for all you Riverdale fans that want to clean house in week 0, just take a deep breathe and back away from the edge. Both of these teams will win alot of games this year and meet again when it counts. Congratulations to Coach Mac and his staff, they deserved it tonight. The challenge now will be getting those kids back down to earth Monday and start looking towards they next opponent. But something tells me Coach Mac will get their attention Monday afternoon. Last thing, and Im going to bed... Did somebody forget to notify Blackman and LaVergne that tonights game was NOT a baseball game? Were they hitting ground rule doubles over there? 5 to 3? Are you serious? Thats kind of embarrassing! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  10. "If they can just average in the 17-20 range every week, and if their defense returns to form, they will be a tough out each week for whoever has to face them." Isnt that the case for every team, not just the Blaze? So its not like your recreating the wheel either. But what form would you expect the Blaze defense to return to? The form that gave up 31 to Wilson Central, 24 to Siegel, or 28 to Oakland? None of which had exactly dynamic offenses.
  11. Ok RIVERDALE, for a minute please take off those red (or cardinal, or maroon, etc.) and gold colored glasses that your looking out of , and look at this from a rationale point of view. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I never meant that Blackman was as GOOD, but rather they were just as TALENTED as 3 of the 4 playoff teams last year. ( Definately not as talented as Smyrna) Blackman should of never gotten beaten at LaVergne in week 0 last year, and they for the first time since they '02 they had they horses to beat Riverdale last year.
  12. Guys, this isnt my first rodeo. So you all out there that think I am just some rookie off the streets are severely mistaken. I never said that I didnt think Blackman would be talented. But lets face it, theyve been talented in the past, and have done nothing with it. The past two seasons they should have easily been in the top 4 of the region but have failed to produce. And dont give me the, "were real young" excuse, theyve been real young for the past 4 years, eventually they must get older! But I didnt mean to be the Blackman hater on here, I just posted my opinion. And dont worry, if the Blaze are still playing in November I will be the first one on here to eat some crow.
  13. !. Smyrna- Just give the ball to that RB and they'll be just fine. I dont even think a new coach could mess that up. 2. Lebanon- This could be their year to get in the top half of the region, since the rest of the boro teams could be down. 3. Riverdale- This is the year that all the Riverdale fans see just how good of a coach Adelyott really is. This team doesnt have the talent to win the region, but he'll keep them in it and get them in the playoffs. 4. LaVergne- Pretty talented, should have enough to get in. 5. Wilson Central- Ill be honest, I dont know much about this team, but they are always well coached and could make a push for that final playoff spot. 6. Siegel- This could be the sleeper team in the region. Its put up or shut up time, and I wouldnt be surprised to see the Stars in the playoffs. 7. Oakland- Beat them while you still can. This team is very young, but very talented, and with a new enthusiastic staff, this program is on its way up! 8. Blackman- Lets be serious, every year we all hear during the spring and offseason how "this is the year!"ha yea right! They lose their best lineman, theres no QB in the house, and their skill guys look like middle school players. Go ahead and start sending in your resumes!
