Well well well.. Rhea County fans lets take a minute to reflect. Before this season I can probably speak for many in saying we all expected another disappointing season. A loss to Red Bank and to Cleveland and possibly another. Then a 3rd or 4th place region placement and an early exit from the play offs. Then we came into the Soddy game 2-0 and no one gave us a chance.. We made the big plays and we were 3-0.. then after the Central game and the injury to the Almight A.J. Brown again everyone thought the season was over.. we arrived at Red Bank and after a slow start some turnovers and the GREAT defense kept the game in check and we came out with a win.. 7-1 (5-0) in the region came Cleveland and to the credit of Cleveland and the disappointment of the Rhea County faithful for no better term the second half they ran in down our throats and made us like it.. Taking nothing away from Cleveland they came out and just KILLED us.. and many thought we had 2nd place locked up because who would've thought the fate that awaited us.. everyone in Rhea County who knows that extra special thing our team and county calls on for our help answered and the Stangs handed the Raiders their second loss and the eagles got the most unexpected surprise ever A REGION CHAMPIONSHIP.. then came Clinton and everyone again was worried about No A.J. and a defense question mark with the QB and the boys came out and won in a blow out game 41-21 then came Powell and again the questions came up the worries the for no better term the CRAP all came out and everyone wondered and the boys did it again and came out 10-2 and secured the game most of Rhea County has wanted for YEARS and ALL thought was impossible ESPECIALLY this year.. So now this week The Dynasty itself the MARY-VILLE REBELS against the good ole' Redneck Rhea County boys strap it up AT RHEA CO thats right Evensville TN will have 50 times its normal population there.. the town which isnt even on a map or GPS will be the site for this quarterfinal battle.. the Rebels of course defending the streak which we all know and have been rolling all year well all 5 years for that matter and some say alraedy its Rebels vs. Henry Co. for the championship others looking forward to the Sullivan South semi final match-up but the fans who carry the Claw in the mind know that this friday night could be one of the biggest wins ever for a Rhea Co. team.. The boys know its time to play a whole game to play to their total and complete potential.. except for the Cleveland game i have seen improvement each week all year and i think its time for everyone to come firing on all cylindars.. i cannot wait just to walk in the stadium and see the fans to feel the electricity and to experience this amazing atmosphere that will be in Evensville this friday night Good Luck Eagles we are so proud of you go beat them Rebels Rhea County 24 Maryville 21 FINAL The Claw is Coming Rebels

Lineman: Romario Cathey, Maplewood Kevin Revis, Rhea County Justin Smith, Maryville Backs: Will Gilchrist, Hardin County Eric Gordon, Hillsboro Marsalis Teague, Henry County What are the prediction on who will win each category? I've gotta pull for Rhea Co's Kevin Revis for lineman. He's played great all year and obviously UT agrees. And for back I'll go with marsalis Teague from HC I hear the kid runs all over everyone!!!

that defense is pretty pathetic i must say.. fitz has done quite a terrible job... especially that goaline stand 1 and 2 on the 2 and the stop them four plays in a row and the blocked extra point again soddy and the entire Red Bank game hold a high scoring offense to six points... stop them on two 4 play series i mean i dont get it i dont think anyone does.. 9-2 (loses to a team projected to win the region which we won and loss to a team who beat the number one team in 5A last week in the first round) and still the coaching is bashed i dont understand.. obviously coach fitz and company is doing something right because a 9-2 season a region championship and a second round playoff game and still no one is happy so basically unless the boys go win the state then its gonna be blamed on the coaching.. for the teams sake i hope they do win the state and make you eat your words and shut up because im tired of this coach bashing after the success they have had but enough about that lets go eagles beat powell this week and lets bring the Rebels to our place /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Its quite funny you have already set the Semi Final game and we haven't even played the second round. I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. Big game tonight, AJ being out hurts the Eagles but I think they will find someone to step up. Lovelady and JT and Swafford have game on well towards the end of this season as well as Hester as a good 4th reciever. I wonder though with #25 running as good as he did last Friday if Moffett will get to catch some passes as well. The Defense needs to have a big game in the secondary, with Clintons running back out this helps the Eagles out a lot. I hope to see us spread the ball around and have a complete game on both sides of the ball. I sure hope Davis makes his PATs and has a cuple of those big punts. The secondary will be the difference in tte game tonight I think and i hope the Eagles come out hungry because if they want it I think they'll get in Clinton 21 Rhea Co. 33 Lets Go Eagles get us to the Second Round!!!!

I have one question where was our line on friday? Did we leave them at home. Why aren't Revis and Walker on the same side? I don't understand anyone have imput? Forget the O.C discussion thats old but where has our line been lately?

Once again no respect. The game was a fluke, or now Cleveland has another shot. Maybe Rhea is just the best team. Instead of saying Rhea gave CLEVELAND another chance to win the region how about Rhea is on their way to THEIR region championship. Cleveland was supposed to win the region right? I sure hope not. This Rhea Co. team like the past have been some of the most respectable young men I've seen play the game. Hard fought game with Rhea Co. on top. They want it in Evensville. Now its time to go get it and bring it home. GO RHEA CO!!!

Josh Davis from Rhea Co. He has been a game changer since his sophmore year. Has changed the game with many big punts. Enourmous leg and always there in a close game. Great on field goals in clutch situations as well. He has been there for 3 years and made play after play with his leg. He is deserving of this award. Also A.J. Brown as a WR/KR/PR a TD threat when ever he touches the ball. Takes care of the ball and has made big plays throughout his H.S. Career. Josh Walker for Lineman. Great player. Huge inside. Can get behind him and get 3 yards every down.

Heres your Rhea Co. folk input. Soddy's Haney never touched the ball except for two plays. A catch that he fumbled and we recoverd and a shanked kickoff which he gained maybe twenty on. Stansell from McMinn will keep it out of his hands on kickoffs. He will get his shot once maybe twice so he had better take it all the way when it falls short because it wont happen often. As for offensively Soddy has the better QB and WR's and OL McMinn has the better DL and DB's and RB's are about even. McMinn beat us but the score showed more than it really was. McMinn threw two balls up for grabs which our seconday didnt make plays one play our DB missed a pick by 2 inches. Which McMinn took for 70 YRD TD McMinn didnt do anything great against Rhea Co. they had a couple broken plays that resulted in something and Rhea wasnt ready to play. If it comes down to a last second kick MCMINN wins it as long as its within 60 yards. But if it is an offensive battle or a two minute drill type situation I give it to Soddy. Should be a great game could go either way but i'll take Soddy by 14 on a count of MCMINN will make mistakes and Soddy should capitalize

This game will show that not only A.J. can make the big play. Moffett has a big game on the ground and Rice mixes things in in the running game as well. A.J. has a big game on punt returns and Rhea Co. comes out firing on all cylinders. Rhea Co. 31 WV 21
