  2. All these kids are deserving, but take grace off Macon, they do not win the distric.Has had flu, lost 1 almost another.By far the best all around player in 9aa.

    9AA

That does it, Macon wins 9AA.Good fourth quarter 22,get rid of the flu bug before tourney...
  4. Dallas Grace - Macon County, has to be considerd.
  5. TWINSLEFT

    9AA

Played Macon tonight.67 TO 34 Macon.GB has NO scorers, against decent competition.
  6. Shoulders has coached 2 of my sons over the years,it would be a loss for RBS.4a football is a big step up,one that Shoulders needs,I have watched Westmorland since 2004 either jr high or high school.Kinda stuck in the middle of bigger school systems, but always a hard nosed team.Shoulders has put a winning attitude into RBS,i coached with him 1 year daylight and dark from first day to now, even if this means coaching against my youngest son, given the chance Shoulders would continue the tradition at Westmorland, just my opinion, and good luck in your search.
  7. Agree with you,but this is the 3rd offense,3rd deffense in 3 years.I can see ALOT of improvement since day 1,but this is all new to every kid.It is going to be hard to start all over AGAIN and win against the teams we play.We have 2 months to be as good as teams that do the same thing every year,we have as much talent on this team as we have had in years. We will be ok MIGHTY TIGERS by 3
  8. The Tigers looked ok,especialy the first 30 minutes.Made a few mistakes, but was alot better than last scrimmage.Ran the ball alot better ,blocking better.Deffense, played ok at first, looked as if entire team got tired.Stone Memorial, may have been better conditioned than us,but they played a different 11 on both sides of the ball, and we had several playing both ways.Kicker looked very good.
  9. Senior Night, may be just enough motivation.
  10. Put the blame on the sophmore QB,Dallas has done what he has been told.I know he makes mistakes, and he also knows, but what i have seen so does the rest of the team, but i guess someone has to be blamed. What do you expect, trust me if Goolsby, changes QBs,that would be alot of unneeded presure on a 15 year old kid.I cant see anyone else doing any better,if they can maybe they will put them in.You just have no idea, what he goes through, all anyone notices is the interceptions, threw 10 pics in 3 games, alot because we was behind being ask to throw deep and into coverage, and i guess it was all his fault we was behind. He calls and runs the play that he is told. The coaches have brought this team a long way in a short time, but they are young. What has me confused noone notices the good things, or the mistakes made on D or the dropped passes and fumbles on O or the penalitys, just the QB.We have scored 19 TDs and 13 of them by passing, and dropped a few turned the ball over on downs also, the number 6 passer in the state and the intercepion leader as well, 2 kids in the same class that will get close to setting the single season record, for most receiving yards in a season, alot of kids coming back next year, our best running back on O alot of linemen who will be ready to play next year and most of our D .So for our teams age and playing experiance, this has not been to bad of a year, and better days are ahead. The only reason i could think you feel this way is you must have a kid either in highschool or fixing to be,and your want them playing QB. So tell them to take his place,Goolsby seems to be fair,if they can win the posistion go for it.There is no way anyone can put this season on any ONE PLAYER. Like you said two more years, well my family has listened to people like you for 3 years already,so we really have something to look foward to the next two years as well. The JR High had a great year,a big differance in 12-14 year olds playing, and 15 year old boys playing 19 year old men. With an exception to a couple of years, the JR high has always had a good season.GOOD LUCK TIGERS,hang in there stay together better times next year.Dallas keep your head up,keep working.LOVE YA DAD aint you the same one that has stood up hollering at players on the field for the last 3-4 years, while the parents of these players sit back, bit their tongue and said nothing, these players were doing their best also, yet because you think that he didnt hold off a gorilla outweighing them usually by a hundred pounds and probaly 19 years old like some of our opponents are, long enough for the only player you are worried about to shine, you stand up and let rip. sometimes, like last year players hear this and it effects play and causes a rift between players and coaches, Yes, our sophmore Qb. played well this past friday night, probaly his best game, even though stats would not show this. stats alone usually wont show guts, determination and heart. he showed that against whitehouse. goolsby has done a good job, if they give him long enough maybe he can rebuild a program that was dismantled when he took over. so when you are hurt by some idiot getting on here and talking down a player close to you remember there is 50-60 players with parents wanting the same thing you are remember before you run that mouth on friday night Yes i am guilty, and not proud of it at all,my mouth has embaressed my wife, and sons numerous times, all i am saying and ever said the QB,is the one that gets most of the heat on a loosing team collage, pros, anywhere.I hear it and so do you,i know sometimes we are outmatched, but the situations when a player makes a mistake,is not always the blame of one player. One person saying block,20 saying throw it,run it,put someone else in,trust me it gets old after a while. My kids have guts and heart and want to win no matter if they shine or not,i can promise you no one ever wanted that as bad as my oldest.I totally agree Goolsby has brought these kids a long way,if left alone will make a good program, but you know how that goes.Last week the darts was play calls all but one,and the QB needs to run enough to make the D stay honest. I.M.O.Like i stated earlier he runs the play that he is told to, I think Goolsby is putting in a little bit every week, and i understand that but half that show up to the games do not,it takes time to put a new O in and by the start of next year we should be rolling. We will win this week, and again good post by you.I am sorry to any player or parent i have offended,i have said this before. GO TIGERS

  12. Thanks for your input...I really don't think anyone cares what you think. No opinions from Cheatin' County needed. Macon may score 21...since they put up 36 on your great defense. I never said our D was great...but our 1st string D is pretty dang good. I believe MC scored about 12 on'em. The other 24 came against our Freshman and cheerleaders. Chicken County will more than likely have to keep there 1st string in the whole game. Actually,Macon scored 20 on the starting D.12 in the first half and 8 in the fourth, but that was week 0,and means nothing now.Good luck tigers keep working hard.
  13. Region 4 3A We played White House,Dekalb,Station Camp,Pearl Choan,Sycamore,Greenbrier.Nonregion games Hartsville,Westmorland,Smith County,and Hixon.
  14. Thanks, that is one thing about Macon we always bring a very big crowd, and cheer if there is something worth getting excited about.Should have both teams fired up and ready.see ya then
  15. Macon and Goodpasture, both are playing young kids, sounds like.We also have the majority of our players are somphmores and juniors, with very little friday night light experiance,Macon has been bitten by the injury bug pretty hard especially at the linebacker position, and we were not that big to begin with.I hope this will be a fun game to watch, for everyone, not just Goodpasture fans lol
  16. Well there goes my hopes,of maybe doing something your noy use to.lol I hope the game is injury free for both teams, have never been to Goodpasture looking foward to the trip.Your team looked huge on channel 5 news ,after win over Ravenwood, congrats on W.See you all friday
  17. WOW!!! You know me,only thing is so does everyone else who has ever been on here.I am not one to hide behind a fake name,i have and always and will always support any coach, and root for any team from Lafayette, especially when i have children on them.As for RBS,no coach has attempted to take any credit, those boys worked their butts off,and they deserve all the credit, and from my knowledge they have received it.That win is over now their headed for Picket.I almost forgot,i was such a star at Hermitage Springs, they had to close the school down. LOL
  18. I am with you.Good luck Tigers, first meaningfull game, and it may be your toughest matchup.I am not calling for a victory, but i think maybe this team is not use to this O.T C and Friendship both are use to this O they both have seen it from Watertown,so just maybe we can at least keep the game respectable. Then get some kids back from injurys, and begin our steps to maybe the playoffs, but if not we will get much neeeded experiance for the next season.GO TIGERS.
  19. Then maybe you should drive 15 minutes to RBS,we had some of the same coaches, last year that RBS has now,and they was wrong. For 40 years of football, the only thing you know is wins or losses, these boys work hard.If you thought 10 and 0 playing the teams we play you have not payed much attention over the past few years.Just have a little faith, after our bye week we will be very much in every game except 1.Coach G is building up something, that will work.Just give him a little time, and let him coach.Alot will be said about RBS,after friday when they are 2 and 0.keep working tgers and bulldogs You got to be joking. Tell me your not serious about all of this. Not sure what part your wanting to know about, but after our bye we get some kids back, and the teams are still good, just may not be as good as first 3 with exception of WH.As for RBS going 2 and 0,yep you got it here first
  20. The wheels and good times of highschool out way football, in lafayette.Drive to any of the surounding counties sonic on friday night. It will be almost empty, but can not even get pulled in at lafayette.Kids that played jr high have given up sports for keys, the jr, soph, and freshman class has stayed together so far.Only time will tell after they become drivers. We could without a doubt use alot of the kids that attend highschool, but wont out out the time or effort.Last few years was always said, would not play for cook and his coaches, they are gone and only a couple new faces, from last year.I dont understand. GOOD LUCK TIGERS keep working it will pay off starting over takes a little time.

  22. Little bit.....I heard he had over 400 yrds on Trousdale and that says alot....Go Blue!!! Actually, there were about 300 yds. passing, mostly vs the 2nd. & 3rd. TC team. Overall yardage for MC was less than 400. Same for TC. Remember this was a Mercy game in the 3rd qtr. until Coach Creasy pulled the starters. MC looked great vs the subs, and they'll likely improve the next year or two. Got some talent with the passing game, but with virtually no running game to keep a defense honest, they're gonna get killed with their schedule. Our D did a poor job getting pressure in the backfield, unlike last year. FCS may do better or worse in that regard, but it will be key to shutting down the passing game. When we did get a bit of pressure on Grace, he didn't fare as well. A sack or 2 & 3 ints. Should be an interesting matchup. Almost every TC post talks about Macon playing your underclassmen.Did you all not know Macon only has 6 senior players, so could be your underclassmen is the ones that did not do so well ,playing kids their own age i thought ours did fine most of the tigers had never had any playing time.GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE YEAR JACKETS.PLAY AND WORK HARD TIGERS
  23. The score was 24 to 6 then the jv played.Macon played 3 seniors and looked alot better than spring.Remember only a few of these kids have ever been on the field untill now,and have really improved.Just the way your team was last year. This was no runaway at all a couple caught passes or a couple dropped and the score is totally different.good luck to both tiger teams
