Well, I know two teams already in the Valley which know how good Sequatchie is. What truth exactly do people know? That a team that had lost 25 out of the last 26 games is 5-2 this year? The Indians were 0-10 last year. No one said we would be state champions, but we have improved greatly and besides the second half of Tyner, have been in every game. So please enlighten me on what truth everyone in the valley knows??

It does seem like the excitement has gone down a lot. I agree that Sequatchie County fans should be more than happy with the way the season has gone. The Indians were beaten the last two games by better teams and all but the second half of Tyner played close and tough throughout the losses. Fans have to remember, the Indians had lost 25 out of 26 games prior to this season and there haven't been any blue chippers move into Dunlap since then. This has already been a vast improvement and successful season for the Indians. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

I agree. I think this one will be close, but the Indians should come out on top. If Dykes can't play that could favor Silverdale in a big way. I heard that the doctor will determine on Friday if he will be released to play.

Sequatchie was totally dominated in the second half. I fear some of our players laid down after Tyner scored the first touchdown of the second half. The Indians never really moved the ball at all on Tyner the entire game. The only touchdown came as a result of good field position, besides that Sequatchie was unable to move the ball on the Rams. There also seems to be a significant lack on discipline with some of the Indians. There was two unsportsmanlike conduct penalities and two unnecessary roughness penalties that I remember. A good team finds out what they are all about when times get hard and the competion gets better. Everyone was happy when we were beating some not so good teams. Its time to look in the mirror and decide how you want to be remembered Indians. I also hope Brandon Dykes injury isn't serious. If so, we could be in for three very long games to end the season.

I agree that Sequatchie will have to play an outstanding game to have a chance this week, but Tyner will in no way just run up the score. Sequatchie will score and if they elimanate mistakes will be in the game in the 4th Quarter. Their only loss is to a good Midway team in which they made several mistakes and gave up too many big plays to an outstanding football player in Will Poe. Outside of that, they would have had a great chance to beat Midway. So, maybe a top ten ranking is a little overrated but don't get it wrong by thinking Sequatchie is not a good football team who could play with most teams in 2A.

Can anyone from Midway tell me if Will Poe is being recruited by anyone and if so who? I was at the Sequatchie/Midway game and haven't seen an athlete like that on the field in Sequatchie in a long, long time.

This is off the subject a bit, but can anyone from Midway tell me who Will Poe is getting recruited by and how big is he? I watched him at the Sequatchie/Midway game and he seems to me to have loads of talent and one of the quickest and fastest athletes I've seen in a while.

The Indians didn't get knocked back down to Earth. The Indians have did just what you expect from a team. They have won every game they were supposed to and were beaten by a better team last night in Midway. The Indians needed to play a great game to beat Midway, but that didn't happen. Too many turnovers and missed chances. Number #18 was most definately the difference maker in that game. He brought a speed into the game the Indians haven't seen all year. So, too say the Indians were too cocky is just a dumb statement.

Yes it was 1990. That's the last season we beat Marion County as well. That's a streak we definately need to end.

I wasnt sure. I know that it will be their first year of football. I cant imagine them being much better than Midway or Tyner.

5-5 is a very reasonable record this year. We have already beaten Pigeon Forge. Whitwell and Pikeville should be wins. East Literature is a new school, although private. So not sure how that one will go. Silverdale will not be the same team as last year. We should also be in the Cannon and Marion County games. The only teams I don't see us having a chance is Tyner, Midway, and Boyd Buchanan. So yes, 5-5 is not that big a stretch.

Cannon by 17 at least? Please enlighten me with your logic on that pick. This was a 2 point game last year, with Chad as your coach and a Sequatchie team that was horrible and coached horribly all season long. Sequatchie is a totally different football team with a good coach who has them believing they can win. Tell you what, I'll take the 17 points for a coke on Friday night.

I'm not sure what game you were at Fatman, but there was plenty of speed on the field for Sequatchie. Don't get me wrong, we don't have any track stars, but all the Indian running backs showed good burst of speed and most important quickness getting through the holes. Chad has brought enthusiasm and discipline back to the program. I'm aware that Pigeon Forge isn't a great team but the Indians did exactly what you should do against a lesser team. They beat them handily. I am a firm believer the Indians will win every game they are supposed to win this year and will be in most of the rest.
