I said it prior to last week..if Greeneville wins big and we lose it will be at best a 6-3 season(we only have 9 games) possibly 5-4. Losses being SH, Greeneville, AC...and if an upset were to occur it would be this year vs Boone. I'm not throwing in the towel but just being honest in how I think the season will go. However we have one of the best coaches in East TN so by end of season you could possibly see a strong playoff contender. Sure we lost but it wasn't a blowout so considering we were playing with essentially new QBs and losing our best player early and only lost 17-7 does help alleviate some concerns that could have popped up if we had been blown out.

I think if this game were played later it would be better. However it isn't and it happens at a time where EHS is most vulnerable still trying to figure stuff out. I feel it could go like last year. Greeneville wins this one but I feel we will get them back if we meet again.

Yes you barely squeaked out a win. No one will remember you since thats the last title you'll win for a while.

If I could I'd quote myself from last season. SH could provide an upset however until they can beat the Cyclones I'm picking EHS

The better game will be DB vs Greeneville. That game could go either way and should be very competitive and good indicator of both teams potential playoff caliber.

They don't need to. We have a good team but anyone that says it won't be a tough season is lying. Same for Greeneville. If I'm being 100% honest I don't see us or Greeneville repping the east in the finals. Mavs have the most realistic shot. EHS and GHS will be in the mix bur not nearly as dominant as previous years

You could get one against us. The games recently have been pretty decent. This is the year a lot of our guys will have to step it up. What I would call a transition year. But next year will be another story once these guys get some field experience. Same with Greeneville. I think both of us might take a small step backwards this year due to everything we lost but we will bounce back and reload.

I think it'll be a solid team..obviously it'll be hard to replace last seasons squad. I don't forsee a state title but a conference/region title is not impossible

This year might be the best time for AC to make a run. EHS will be around but this season might look a little different than the last 3

Nah just means other teams will be more comfortable beating you all haha jk man.

Sounds like good stuff is going on at AC. Hopefully you guys can take this preseason stuff and continue it through the real season. Always like to play AC when they are at their best. Win or lose I always like watching a good game.

I heard Brigham lyons went to science hill. Not sure of he's a coach but he was in the Greeneville system iirc

Well the reason I was wondering is because West Ridge took E Hamiltons spit vs Twin Springs in the consolation game so I figured they gave the next 2 local teams an extra game to be fair.

Any idea as to why they added Abingdon vs Volunteer. I've heard a few things but was wondering if anyone had anything solid as to why they added an extra game.
