  1. Since my tigers were out of town Fri night, I decided to go see what the east side of town was all about after all the recent talk. The clock was stopped because the QB spiked the football on the play previous to the touchdown. So, there was no momma's home cookin from what I saw. I actually thought pickett county got the majority of the breaks. 60 or 70 yards in 50 seconds, wow. I was really impressed with the way the dogs ran the hurry up or no huddle offense on that last drive at the end of the game and never gave up. I was also very impressed with #10-QB and #1-Wide out for pickett county. Two very good ball players. Congrats RBS Bulldogs. I thought yall played well. Much improved since the last time seeing you guys. Keep it up, your making Macon County proud!
  2. This is a quote from the Gordonsville thread. QUOTE (croz6110 @ May 8 2009 - 11:03 PM) "Gordonsville topped Macon Co. 3-1 in a scrimmage today. There next scrimmage is against Eagleville on Wednesday, I believe." Even though Gordonsville did come out on top, I thought that we looked somewhat better than our outing with Watertown. Still questioning the offense, but the defense looked pretty solid. Even at that though, this still is not even close to the level of competition that we play week in and week out during the season. I am concerned about our Tiger.
  3. If this is the case, this is not good for the program for this person to represent them on the radio. Someone needs to take care of this situation.
  4. I have to agree with Goldenrod on this one. I do not see any of the teams that we play this year being as weak as Watertown. With that being said I felt like the D looked decent compared to the O. I am afraid that it could be a long year as well. Hopefully we will look better today against Gordonsville. Was there an altercation after the game with the coach? I heard there was but I did not see it while I was there and I stayed around for a little while afterwards.
  5. Great hire RBS. He is a coach with good morals, that will work very hard and expect the same out of his assistants and the boys. I think Coach Shoulders will give the team the confidence and football knowledge they need to succeed in the game. He is a great leader and role model. Good luck Coach Shoulders and RBS!
  6. Great Post! My feelings exactly. As a whole we must come together. Good Luck Sanders!
  7. QUOTE (bigstick12 @ Jan 18 2009 - 10:11 PM) This is the most ridiculous message that I may have ever read. You might can count on one hand how many home games that I have missed in the past 30 years. I know coach Cook and company well and one thing that you can not blame them for is playing favorites. I realize that you, me, and the rest of us fans want our boys to win BAD, but I am sure that does not even come close to how bad those coaches wanted to win. To say they would not play someone that would help them win is crazy, no matter how much they did not like the parents. If they did not like the parents, if the truth be known, the parents probably brought it on themselves by some immaturity actions. I also have watched the majority of the players from pee wee all the way up through high school and I would like to know who you think should have played where, that did not or "did not get the chance" as you say. All of this sounds to me as either a mad player who did not get to play or a mad parent that feels like little Timmy is the best in everything when in truth they are not. The Tigers simply do not have the athletes to play with the teams that they play. Good luck Coach Sanders, you are going to need it. Remember that there is only a few of us that will still support you even when things are not going good. Thanks bigstick for the duplicate, more people will have the oppurtunity to read it now with it being on this page twice.
  8. I am not here to argue, just to tell the truth. Of course you agree with the other post. Facts have it that you and some others are major problems. You all might take in the new coach with open arms until certain players are not played or things are not done the way you all think they should be. Not because I said so, but because of FACTS. Your message history proves it. I do not want others to take my word for it, just simply research and look back at these posters previous post and history of bashing, cussing, threatening, lying, and other immature actions. And yes I would like to consider myself as a friend of the entire coaching staff. I have also talked to many others, most being players that have no reason to lie to me. Sorry

  10. Thank the Lord this is the last game of the season!!!!!!! I'm so sick of all the finger pointing and negativity! Good luck tonight boys!! Play with heart!! I hope you seniors have a good last game!
  11. Good luck Tigers! Keep your heads up and play with everything you've got! I noticed last Friday night at halftime, everyone walked off the field with their heads down. You've got to believe in yourselves to WIN! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Let's go boys! GO BIG BLUE!!!!
  12. What is it that you REALLY have against Cook and the other coaches?? You keep talking about how crappy they are as coaches but we all know it's something deeper than that. Did one of them steal your woman in high school or play the position you wanted in football while you fetched the water? I'm just curious because I've never seen so much aggression coming from someone with a secret name. It must be something really embarrassing! Go Big Blue!!!!!! Don't let the haters on here bring you down! I will be there the rest of the season cheering you on! I will always be proud of my Tigers!
  13. Keep your heads up Tigers. Don't let this loss bring you down. Go Big Blue!
  14. Go Big Blue!!!!!!!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  15. Good luck tomorrow night Tigers!!! Go to Hixson and do it again! GO BIG BLUE!
  16. Were you at the game? Macon did play their butts off and so did Pearl Cohn! Good luck Friday boys! Go to Hixson and do it again!! GO BIG BLUE!
  17. I'm a Coach Cook fan! He's a good God fearing human being and he gives the team his all. He's made many sacrifices for his team, he loves those boys, and he loves the game. When you get on here bashing him, or anyone else, remember you are bashing someone's son, husband, and father. He's a young man and the head coaching thing is still new to him, so give him a break. Remember his family and all the time he has spent on his team when he could be home spending time with them. If you don't like the way he coaches you have a few choices....put in an application, move, don't let your kids play, or just stay home on friday nights.
  18. I am so proud of you Tigers! You really showed up last night and proved a lot of people wrong. You played with your hearts and gave it your all! Never give up despite what the haters say! The players and coaches make huge sacrifices all year long and sometimes you may feel like it's not worth it and no one appreciates all you do, but remember that there are people in those stands that have faith in you and will always be cheering you on no matter what the score! Much love Tigers! I'll be there next week to see you do it again! WAY TO GO!
