  1. Nope. No offense points for the Chargers
  2. Where exactly in the constitution does it state that anyone does not have the right to bow their head in prayer if they so choose - even when it is student lead????? All this seems kinda odd since the founders of this nation seemed to lean very heavily on there faith in your proverbial "cosmic boogie-man" - over 20 of the signers of our Declaration of Independence were ordained ministers. Another case of "forcing the 'science' to fit the theory" syndrome......
  3. How bout that head coach from, uummm, oh, Auburn????????????
  4. This one is almost as good as the "coaching coaches" quote!!!!!
  5. Can't argue with that one - I'll second it!!!
  6. Therealgame has the right attitude and has been very classy concerning this issue. And this is true for all the HC fans I encountered at the game - most of all the HC football program. Not trying to tear down anyone's Utopia here - I had just stated some facts. A much better football team won that night. And some of their fans acted like they are from south Memphis. Sure they were isolated insidences, that I am very happy didn't escalate to something worse. RedWarrior - 3nout, those kids will always remember what a grown man yelled at them and their mother in Paris, TN. As far as what was said to some of the Brighton coaches - one of them is a full grown man !!!! (there is humor here - forgive me) I'm not trying to sling anything here and I'm not ignorant enough to think this couldn't happen at Brighton either, but then again I never insinuated Brighton was the best thing since sliced bread. This has nothing to do with the game, but sure is showing your character RedWarrior - 3nout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. uuuuuummmmmm, I usually pull for the underdog and if I were a betting man I would've won a bunch on college football this year - plenty of upsets - it does happen. HCTFII - I'll pull for you guys on the road until or if we meet again this year. They sell good turkey legs outside the gate in Orange Mound /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  8. Did you say 37-0 ? I didn't hear too good.
  9. Understood HCTFII, no offense. I do think you'll be on the road for 1st round of playoffs though. We'll beat JCM - but there is much work to be done - it's at "The Rock".
  10. Where for art thow thy Yanker of the chain????????
  11. HC will more than likely have a running clock on Munford and when it is all said and done - I for one will tip my hat to a Munford team that will find a way to shut down some portion of the HC game. The outcome will not be any different than the Brighton - HC game, but Munford will do much better than expected and will be able to hold their heads high. HC messageboarders will boast and the miniscule pony will laugh.
  12. My BAMA friend from Savannah has got it right - your being smart-blanks /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> You HC guys need to lighten up a little.
  13. Inspiration to downplay Henry Co. has most certainly come from reading the "humble" threads where they are discussed. HC is awesome and without their QB would still be very good and most likely would win the region - with him they should most definitely win state. No, I have not replied to every single positive thing said about HC with sarcasm. Just most!!!! Fun to ruffle feathers!! You can game plan for #34 and #40, but until they let your opponents play 14 on D it's impossible to game plan for them and your QB. He is incredible. I'm sure we'll see him play on Sundays and Mondays someday. Don't be so sensitive!!!! You guys have a great team - be thankful that you are in a position where people want to take fun shots at you on here. And yes - a number of your "fans" did curse some of the Brighton faculty with their kids and several from the coaching staff got a similar treatment.
  14. Henry Co. has absolutely without a doubt the best ahtlete in high school football in West TN. Their Quarterback has real speed. #40 is their next best. #34 is so overrated that it is sad - on many other teams he would be a guard- I hope his coach is telling recruiters the truth about him as not to hurt future athletes from getting a look. Brighton did not key on #34 - they just shut down the middle period. With starting QB Henry Co. will probably win state - without him they are very beatable - even in region. I think the Henry Co coaching staff and certainly Brighton knows what loosing the starting QB can do. HC is smart to keep him off the D side of the ball and not play him 2nd half. Those many disrespectful, rude, cursing in front of small kids - making think I was in Memphis - Henry Co. fans should take a deep breath and pray that their phenominal starting QB stays healthy. Hats off the the coaching staff and team at HC - very respectfull. Thanks. As to the BS penalties, a number of blatant no calls on blocks in the back and holding - though would not change the outcome - would have significantly shortened the margin.
  15. exciting football on a hard field - T county can hold it's head high in thought of this one.
  16. Awe come on, get Hank and the helicopter back!!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> It is sure to be an exceptional high school football experience. I hope there is enough room for all the folks from out of town. Good luck and give your doc a hug /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  17. I wish "some dude" would check this out. 1. Brighton 2. Henry - may go lower when Brighton shows others how to do it 3. Hardin 4. Liberty 5. JNS 6. Munford - new hope from the Brighton game could get them higher standing 7. JCM
  18. Wowsers - did the sledster really say he hated hot docs? I think his distaste is more of the standard cya "two weeks". Too many athletes don't know the difference between hurt and injury and thus character suffers and the docs get a check. Wow, I guess I'm hate'n now. Sorry
  19. I should tell the Coug to overlook the understatured pony. I really should.
  20. Just to inform you there doc, it is completely obvious to anyone with half a brain that the sleddog was makin a point to the Coug bout why Brighton kids let Munford make it a close game - an injury to a key senior leader and that no team is immune to such misfortune. I hope is that no kid would ever get injured in this great game but the fact of the matter is that it happens dispite all the preventative measures. Forgive me if my understanding of the sledsters rhetoric offends - will I have to find a new job too?????
  21. Well, if LSU is in the hunt then he sure must be a really physical back that never looks for a place to fall down. Those Brighton boys better watch out.
  22. Hardin wins - U of Memphis does not.
