  1. The battle of West Knoxville in the playoffs between familiar foes. Can the Bulldogs get 09 revenge? Can the Admirals get revenge for 07 playoff debacle? Can the players footing and fans get revenge for that Mudbowl earlier? Fans and meteorologists chime in!
  2. DL's system has got my vote till he's dead(Rico's Roughnecks ref.) or something better comes along I always like good math and lots of statistics to show a point!
  3. It's a shame this was a first round game, but it was a pleasure to watch. Kudos to the the Farragut defense for controlling that game. Ooltewah had very little time on the field offensively. The second half offensive changes by the Ads staff was the big difference. Smart plan!! What's up with the phantom touchdown by Ooltewah. Visually I doubted he got in even from 100 yards away in the stands. The news highlights looked suspicious too. In the paper this morning, the pic shows the ball coming loose way before he stretches at the pylon and his knee nearing the ground. Not that I want to begrudge the Owls their only TD........ But what was that official seeing and why wasn't he at the goaline for a better view?
  4. Randymc, I do agree that the system can produce some strong wildcard teams. If you look at what district's wildcard 1st round winners are from in relation to where #1 seed losers came from, it is really not surprising. I mean thats a home game for somebody that most likely didn't deserve it! How many other teams were on the verge of attaining a WC bid, but didn't make the cut?
  5. Looking at the posted scores, I see that Sevier Co., Arlington and Germantown all lost home games as the #1 seed in their Quad. The other, Blackman only won by 8. Does this mean that the playoff seeding formula stinks or that we have depth and parity in 6A football statewide? I'll take the former. I see lots of problems with the district setups in regards to equality for playoff seeding.
  6. C'mon Dyron, your colors are showing. Bearden ?????? They are a tough matchup for Sevier Co. No way they could win the state.
  7. Beldar Conehead is not bound by trivial earthdweller laws. When the next pyrotechnics celebratory bombardment is unleashed, many Bluntskulls will surely reach their doom........... MEPS!!!
  8. A couple of inaccuracies in the post by KOBE: "The Pyro are the best 14u team in East Tennessee " FACT 1; The TN Rhinos are the Eastern Substate Champions and succesfully defended their title from 13U year previous. "This same team last year finished in top 4 at state for 13u and did well at nationals" FACT 2; Not the same team as last year most of these boys played for DREISSIG previously. As I say most, meaning the basic teams core but definately not all. But most surely there was no ET PYRO in 2008, to be considered ' this same team'. What does doing well at nationals mean? Maybe something like 2-3...... just sayin' On a side note, there has been a lot of TALK on these boards regarding Pyro. I see most of this as self promoting and attempts to hype their own players. KUDOS for trying! All kids deserve some promotion in this sport. After self proclaiming several titles in the preseason as a result of their recruiting "haul", where are those titles? With "all that tallent" where is the hardware to back it up? So were the preseason predictions fulfilled? Was developement achieved or underachieved?
  9. Thanks for the accurate factual update as to what occurred in Nashville, Hoopmaster. I believe this thread was started to brag a little and has maybe stretched beyond facts. I have seen the Pyro play and yes they have some tallent, yet lack size. But it's a fact they were the 2ND PLACE team in E Tenn Substate, losing to the TN Rhinos.
  10. It would make for a considerable advantage having played freshman ball instead of Middle School the school season leading up to your 14U AAU year. Comments? Also does anybody know if he can continue playing with that age group or must jump to 10TH grade/16U for the next season?
  11. 14U TN Rhinos advance to Sunday brackets by going 2-1 in Pool play. The play Team United 8am Sunday at Pratt Pavillion. Come on down and cheer on the local boys.
  12. Congratulation's to the TN Rhinos for defending the Eastern Division Substate Title. Top two advance automatically to the state. 1. TN Rhinos 2. ET Pyro 3. TN Travelers 4. Driessig
  13. I got some directions for ya'! Sorry to let you know I'm taken. There are plenty of other internet sites for you to "meet some fella". Let me help you out, it might read like this: " Single Moron Bulldog seeking submissive playmate. Likes: name calling, walks down selective memory lane and belittling others who don't share my opinion. Dislikes: anyone with spellcheck or sense of humor. I am soon to own a doghouse and will be housebroken by next spring. I got rid of all fleas and am currently on a worm pill. My coat is a little gray but my chest puffs out when we only lose by a TD!! Seeking buddy with a warm nose...............CAR!!!!! Gotta run bite dat tire..........." Good luck in finding your very own football buddy. Somebody please get this back to topic.
  14. Moron "B" Enough stupidity there already. 14-8!! What poetic justice.......... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Time to quit coffee drinking & cryin' and do some football coaching!
  15. Dear Moron "B" Thank you no on the coffee. I will be there with a XFL Championship Trophy in one hand and Friday nights wore out Bulldog in the other. Good luck in the AM! Your team will need it PSSST........don't opt for OT
  16. Actually it was 14-8 CBFO wins it 1OT. You guys didn't score in 4 plays and we rammed the ball up your gut and scored in two, without Caleb! So now that we've established your poor recollection and coaching abilities lets attend to moral judgement. You state: "Your attiutde is typical about this program...If it works for you, its not cheating. If it hinders you, its cheating.." and also: "I do know this to be fact also. When we played CBFO in the regular season. At the end of regulation the score was tied 8-8. Myself and the other coaches pushed for overtime. We thought there was a overtime rule, as there was in 2005 and 2006. We'll there was not in 2007. The Refs thought we were right and let us play overtime. We lost 14-13 in overtime. At first the Parks and Rec. department was going to count it as a tie. But, CBFO put up a fight(as we would have if we won). The Parks and Rec. dept. concedded and called it a win for CBFO. " I guess Taxi you forgot to mention the part where you guys decided to try to weasel out of the OT results that occurred on the field. In the hours that followed the game you asked for a Tie and forced us to fight for the victory we earned. Anybody that wouldn't just admit defeat has no business instructing young men. What kind of lesson does that teach? Now you sit here passing judgement on issues that you have only peripheral knowledge of...........who's typical? We got you pegged- Wienerless Now about that Karn's freshman football............
  17. I defer to your obvious knowledge Madame - Who can argue with selective opionated memory like that which takes you from 8 points to 13 in football? You did state that you had 8 in regulation and then scored a 5 pointer in OT right? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I'm not here to argue rather shed enlightment on obviously misrepresented statements.
  18. Please get your facts straight. I thought this topic was about the Karn's Freshmen. What in the heck does it have to do with the CBFO XFL Champions? Those of us who watch local Super Midget Football know fully the differences in the league's tallent and competition. FYI, Caleb Blance was in CBFO football the following years:2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007. He was not added to win a championship. He was honored to play with and for his teamates for many years.
