This should be a great game. These two teams split in the regular season. Onieda won at home 53-44, and Rockwood won at home 53-45. Both teams are in region but, both would love a district championship. I think it will be a great one, what are your thoughts?

Rockwood went to Coalfield and picked up a big district win Tues. night. Rockwood now has 1st place in the district tourny locked but, could still possibly share the regular season title. If Wartburg beats Rockwood tomorrow night and Harriman beats Onieda then they(Rockwood & Harriman) would share the regular season title. And as for the player and coach of the year. The player of the year, you cant tell me that some one person stands out in this district, so it's up for grabs. And coach of the year, it could be a couple but, Coach K from Rockwood is an excellant coach and his team is starting to stand out. My predictions for region: 1-Rockwood 2-Harriman 3-Onieda 4-Coalfield Wartburg has a good team but, they have no big man. And they live and die w/ the 3 and that is why they are not in my 4.

Dalton91, You said that home court could mean alot. Well in that case I would be picking Rockwood b/c they are holding their district tourny. And they also get the region tourny this year. That's a long drive everyday for teams like CAK and Cosby, it could end up hurting them. Both are good teams but, everybody knows sitting on a bus for an hour and a half will bother u.

I was just replying about Rockwood. You have them losing to Unaka & Oneida. Yeah they lost to Oneida but then they beat them a week later. And I dont know where you got they getting beat by Unaka, because they dont play Unaka.

Who do u think is the team to beat in A during this new year? I think Rockwood has got to be at the top of the list.

What are your predictions for the single A state championship?

I can promise you Rockwood is not overlooking Happy Valley. Rockwood was looking at HV last wk, and that is what made the 1st half vs. Harriman so close. I think Rockwood was done looking foward to the HV game. Rockwood will not change anything for this wk. They will stay with what got them this far. Rockwood by 14 is my prediction.

What are your thoughts on this game? It will be an exciting and a good one to watch. Happy Valley will be ready because Rockwood put them out last year. Its gonna be a good one. What is your prediction?

Rockwood is 6-1 and still not getting any respect(we are not gonna get it boyz). Oliver Springs is a good football team. You got to play your best ball against them, if you want a chance to win. Rockwood will come out ready to go, as well as OS will. Rockwood has got to come out firing, and I think they will. Whalen is dangerous, we got to stop him. Rockwood took there first lost last week but, that is over with. Now Rockwood does not have to worry about going undefeated or anything, now they play for #1. They are not out of the #1 spot in the region. We need a good week of practice and then hit'em in the mouth fri. I feel sry for Meigs because, we are not happy about the loss. This week will tell alot, but it want tell everything. Harriman is going to get overlooked by someone and win one this yr. Hopefully it will not be a region game. And if it is a region game hopefully it will not be Rockwood. Harriman is due for a win but, who is it going to be against. That could be the upset for the region. My picks. swil50RW Hey tex, bow and scruggs are doin great. Their both doing well on D and scruggs is doing good on O, but bowman threw his first and hopefully last incompletion the other night. And xtremeloco, I can promise you that we are not looking at the 3-3 record. Alcoa is a young but good team, and we all know that. Right now this is our biggest game because it is our next game. We need to keep taking it one at a time and we will be ok. We cant overlook anyone because, we are the target right now and everyone is aiming at us. Rockwood will not change anything, they will stick with what got them this far. Im picking the Tigers for 3 reasons. 1-been in big games 2-more experienced and mature 3-there leadership. Go Tigers.

We are halfway though the season and Rockwood is leading this region, can they keep the #1 positioin and if not who will take it?

Rockwood is still undefeated but, Alcoa will give them a run for there money. Alcoa is young and talanted but, they have the weapons to beat some good teams. I dont think Rockwood will change anything. I think they will stick with what has got them this far. They have a defense that is hard to get bye, and there offense has many weapons. If the game is close Rockwood has the advantage but, hopefully it will not be a close one. I hope the tigers can blow this one wide open. Tigers-28 Alcoa-14

hey boyz, This is going to be another good one for Rockwood. Rockwood has played two close games in two weeks, will this be another. If Rockwood keeps playing like they are capable, then they will win this one. But, if they come out thinging it will be a blow over then Wartburg will make it tight. This will be Rockwood's 3rd big game, in a row. Everybody is talking we will still be stuck on the Kingston win, this one is bigger than Kingston. We will be ready for Wartburg. There want be any changes just because its Wartburg. All I got to say is Wartburg you best be ready because were gonna hit you in the mouth and keep hitting you in the mouth. Go Gettem Boys.

Skipper66, I believe Rockwood can double 125yds. They have a good backfield, QB, and WRS. They will be able to put over 250 yards up for the game easy. And Rockwood's D, hasn't gave up alot of yardage either. Sweetwater had a couple of big plays and that is it for the yardage, that Rockwood has given up. Rockwood is the underdog once again but, that don't bother us. We like making these so-called upsets. And what's so bad is that they ain't even upsets. Go Tigers.

Kingston's D vs. Rockwood's O? Well, how many yds. has Kingston gave up in there two games? And look who they have played, Harriman (who is a team that has not won it 2 1/2 yrs) and Gibbs (who is a team that dont have athletes to play w/ Kingston). Rockwood will do just fine on O and probably come close to what yardage Harriman and Gibbs put up together. GO TIGERS.

Biggamer, Hey, you have ran your mouth in every Roane County post there has been. Talkin all that crap but, you forgot one thing, you have not been able to back it up in 2 1/2 yrs. And about this Rotwood thing you like saying, the only thing rotting is harriman's football team. They have a great coach and some great players, but people like you are slowing them down. Well about the game, im going with the tigers. Go gettem boys.

Skipper66, Your right, if your third string is scoring there is nothing you can do. And you cant just tell them to lay down cause it will not happen. But, I dont think you have to worry about running the score up this week because, Rockwood is a better team than Harriman and Gibbs. And I think it will be a great game.

WaggleRT, I know you know who this is but, all these games count. If something were to happen and there were ties at the end of the season, it may come down to overall records. So these Midway, Kingston, etc. are also big games. But this week is even bigger because of the bragging rights. I think it is going to come down to Kingston's passing game and Rockwood's secondary. Rockwood has put alot of pressure on the QBs in the past so maybe that will help them. They have some good players on the D side and also on the O side. So its going to be Kingston's O vs. Rockwood's D. If Rockwood can stop or even slow them down they will win it. But if not then they got to throw the points on the board w/ Kingston. I look for Rockwood to come out firing and they will win because of there D. Now dont count there O out because they have some big players that can burst into the endzone quick. Well lets go gettem tigers.

I ain't sure but I think Sweetwater only has 5 seniors on the roster. Where as in the past they have had 10-15 on the roster. It ain't all about who is playing alot has got to do with leadership. And as for Latham being the best FB in this region, I think your wrong. Bryson Pryor(from rockwood) had a great game and sweetwater put 8 in the box and brought'em all nigh long. Goose, where are you? Your the man for the Roane County sports, what are your thoughts on this one. The biggest game of the year for Roane County and noone is talking about it.
