  1. THE EFFORT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER THE 1ST & 4TH QUARTERS. 2ND & 3RD QUARTERS SHOWED HOW RELAXING OR NOT GIVING THE BIG EFFORT CAN BITE YOU. JO ALLOWED THEM TO RATTLE HER A LITTLE ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF WEIRD CALLS, BUT THEN SHE FINISHED LIKE A PRO. JESSA GAVE A BIG SHOW ON DEFENSE AND HAD A BETTER NITE ON OFFENSE TO HELP. I COULD TELL FROM LOOKING AT EMILY THAT SHE WAS SICK AND FEELING VERY POOR BUT SHE TOUGHED IT OUT AND GAVE A GREAT EFFORT. ERIN HAD A GOOD NITE ON DEFENSE AND SOME KEY DRIVES TO THE HOOP. MEGAN AND KELSEY GOOD D AND MEGAN WITH KEY SNEAKY REBOUNDS ON BOTH ENDS. GOT TO GO 4 QUARTERS AS A TEAM, STARTERS AND SUBS.
  2. Those Lady Cats need to play big tonite against Columbia Central like they did Fri nite with Franklin Co. One game at a time girls until we can go to Shelbyville and try to tie this 8aaa up.(I know this is looking way ahead) But this how you need to attack a dist title. Go get'm girls and play that same type intense defense as you Fri nite.
  3. WOW! I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE SUCH A TRAY THREAT. HOPE THE GUARDS GET OUT ON EM. BY THE THE WAY THAT IS A UNIQUE USERNAME. WHAT'S A TIDE?
  4. THE LADY CATS CAN HANDLE THIS. NOW, WILL THEY SHOW UP AND TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS OR NOT IS THE QUESTION. THEY LOOKED PRETTY SHARP ON TUESDAY BUT IT WAS TULLAHOMA. THE GUARDS CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS GAME IF THEY PLAY DEFENSE AND PASS THE WAY THEY DID TUE NITE. JO NEEDS HER NORMAL #'S AND STAY OUT OF FOUL TROUBLE. HOPEFULLY JESSA WILL BE BACK TO DEFEND CUNNINGHAM AND NEEDS TO KEEP HER FOULS DOWN. THE LADY CATS WILL STAY IN THE DISTRICT MIX WITH A WIN. GO GET'M GIRLS.
  5. YEAH IT'S THIS WEEKEND AND THEN WE ARE ALSO COMING TO THE ONE AT BEECH THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND. DO YOU HAVE INFO ON EITHER ONE? THX.
  6. KEEP IT UP. YOU GUYS ARE ABOUT THE FUNNIEST I HAVE READ IN A WHILE ON COACHT. BEING FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY I KNOW BOTH OF THE RICE BROS AND THE LITTLE BRO AND THEY ARE ALL GOOD BALL PLAYERS. IT'S JUST THAT THE TOPIC TURNED SO FUNNY WHEN 2 OR 3 OF U NON-SPELLING COUNTRY BOYS TRIED TO SPEW A LITTLE SMACK AT EACH OTHER. SO, KEEP IT UP.
  7. ANYONE HAVE THE TEAMS & TIMES OF FRIDAY & SATURDAY GAMES AT HENDERSONVILLE THIS WEEKEND?
  8. DID CUNNINGHAM PLAY IN THE S'VILLE GAME FOR F.C.? I COULD NOT FIND HER IN THE GAME STATS. IS SHE INJURED?
  9. Can't wait to see how the FC/S'ville game turns out, should be an awesome match-up. Of though I'll be glued to the LCHS/Lincon Co game here at home. This should be where we get back on track in the 8aaa dictrict. Go Lady Cats.
  10. THE DISTRICT WIN LAST WEEK WILL DO MORE FOR THIS TEAM THAN ANYTHING ELSE. YOU GUYS MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER THAT ALL THIS BICKERING BACK AND FORTH MAY ONLY HURT. MUCKLE IS A GREAT GUY AND A GOOD COACH. HIS ONLY PITFALL WHEN AT LCHS WAS THE INFLUENCE FROM INSIDE HIS OWN HOUSE. GOOD LUCK & GOOD JOB GIRLS.
  11. THE FRESHMAN SHOWS IN BOTH OF THEM AT TIMES WHEN IT COMES TO OFFENSE.(EVEN THOUGH JESSA HAD 15 VS SHELBYVILLE, EMILY 16 @ E.LIT.) DEFENSE AND REBOUNDING IS WHERE THEY BOTH PLAY LIKE JUNIORS. JESSA HAS BEEN STRONG EVERY GAME AT POST ON DEFENSE NO MATTER WHAT SIZE OR CALIBER THE OPPONENT. KEEP UP THE FOCUS GIRLS, WE NEED YOU BOTH.
  12. Lawrence Co. by 14 pts. E.Literature has a good size team thru-out. They also are a decent shooting team. The story from this game is that Jo Luffman had 37 pts. Also, the Lady Cats hit their free throws, best % of the season. Good job girls.
  13. LACKS TALENT. WHAT WILDCAT TEAM HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING? A SR. PG THAT DOES A GREAT JOB WITH THE BALL AND MORE TIMES THAN NOT CAN SHOOT EYES OUT, A JR. WHO CAN PLAY ANY POSITION ON THE FLOOR AND HAS D1 SCOUTS JUST WAITING FOR HER TO CHOOSE, AND TWO FRESHMEN THAT DEFY THE OLD SCHOOL LOGIC OF UNDER CLASSMEN STARTING JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE THAT TALENTED. DUH.
  14. This first district game for both teams is really important. Should see some good match-ups. Hope LCHS is ready. Go get-em Lady Cats, this is the one you've been waiting on.
  15. Lawrence Co Wildcats play @ Loretto tonite. This in-county rival could be fun to watch. I expect the Lady Cats to press since Loretto's guard play may be suspect. May be a good test for Jessa(Hunt) & Emily(Williams) on defense & scoring. Team speed should be the an advantage for LCHS, and then they have Jo Luffman as a floor General. Go Lady Cats!!
  16. THIS WAS A WILD ONE. IN THE END THE COOLER HEADS AND THE COACHING PREVAILED. GOOD JOB CATS!! THE OFFICIATING WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE(NO CONSISTANCY AT ALL). CATS BY 4 OR 5. YOU PLAYED TOUGH TO HAVE 4 STARTERS SPEND OVER AN ENTIRE QUARTER WITH 4 FOULS.
  17. Maybe MJUHB is actually the cheerleader who got the head shot in the video.
  18. This game was played with a little more intensity than monday's game. They shared the ball a little better and looked down the floor more. Still had balanced scoring & good rebounding on both ends. They have missed too many free throws the first 3 games & that will have to improve to be able to beat Franklin Co. or Shelbyville.
  19. What in the World has happened to cause you to be missing 9 players? That is devastating. What is the deal?
  20. Lawrence Co. is semi-solid. The Independence game last nite was not competitive enough to see where the girls really stand. The fact is it seemed that the Lady Cats played down instead of really taking advantage of some weak spots. Good scoring by at least 4 players(Luffman,Kemp,Hunt,Robbins). Getting at least 4 players in double figures always helps. Good luck in Giles Co. tonite.
  21. These 2 girls (as shown Fri. nite against BGA) will have impact just because of their HEART & competitivness.
  22. The Lady Cats played a pretty good game Friday night against BGA. They looked good on defense. The BGA team has a couple darn good shooters from any range. They also have a center with height that has a good hook shot. Erin Robbins, good job of leading the scoring. Good freshman play by Emily & Jessa. Jo Luffman, good job. I think the next 3 games(all away games) will show where you girls really stand and then for sure back at home with Shelbyville. GOOD LUCK.
  23. Lawrence Co. looked dismal against Upperman & Clarkrange in the 1st 2 losses (both around 20 pts). The 3rd game was a very different effort vs Wilson Central, a sudden death overtime loss by 2. Luffman had a great game and guard play was great along with some good freshman help. This team is young with 1 sr, 1 jr, 6 soph, & 6 fr. It's going to be fun to watch'em grow if they can stay healthy and get the 2 that are injured back.
  24. SHOULD BE A LITTLE CLEARER AFTER SATURDAY'S PLAY DAY AT WINCHESTER. SHELBYVILLE, LAWRENCE CO., & FRANKLIN CO. WILL ALL PLAY AND THOSE SHOULD BE THE BEST THREE IN 8AAA. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE REGULAR SEASON. GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN 8AAA.
