  1. Man this is sad news. Have known Miss Garland on the gym floor since she was 9 or 10 and you and your team are a classy bunch. My Lawrence County family sends you prayers and the hope that your family finds the strength and faith to deal with such an extreme loss.
  2. Coacht, I think its time too close this thread while nebuntyn still has life and limbs. I don't think he has no idea who he's calling a coward.
  3. Way to go Lady Cats, nice job. So proud of the 2 seniors. Jessa 12 rebounds & 7pts. Emily 15 pts. Way to finish even though it was a loss. You two have been in and out of a lot of gyms together since you were 8 years old along with Hayley, Abby & sis Joie. Its been a hoot.
  4. Both teams are loaded with talent and have a load of class on the floor. Now, after having played both I can truly see and expect Clarksville to move on after a 15-16 point victory. They will also win Saturday against mighty Riverdale who should advance after Friday. Nice, nice job today LCHS Lady Cats. So proud of the 2 seniors, Em with 15 pts and Jess with 12 rebounds.
  5. Well, about 14 years ago an LCHS Lady Cat team made it to this same round of 8 and were not given that good of a chance to win and brought a gold ball home. We will not lay down now.
  6. If the Lady Cats will all shoot and hit a fair percentage S.Hill will not get an easy ride. I feel the defense will be there, we just gotta pull the trigger more. Stay loose Lady Cats and have fun.
  7. Big congrats to all 3 teams from LC. The Lady Cats had to really fight for a tough win from Bradley Central as they were a very fundamental and large team. LCHS shot the ball about as pour as they have this season, that happens somtimes. Hope they can have a better percentage in the Boro. I'm so proud to have 2 girls be a part of this group. I am also proud for the girls who are friends of ours on the Mustangs & Eagles. Go Lawrence County.
  8. This kid is for dang real. This team was in last years NAIA final four. I saw them this year play at home and was a fun fast, intense on defense team. Please go vote.
  9. Man what a nerve wrecking game. Thanks Lady Cats for a fine show. You girls know how to finish. Just keep having fun and playing hard. Riverdale may end up the region champs, but only after the war. Can't wait and we will be so proud of you girls no matter what because you are playing a sub state game and have shot at the Boro. Nice, Nice, Nice.
  10. Thanks Lawrence County Lady Wildcats for another District performance. Great job Em (dist mvp) and the Gilbert girls were awsome. Abby what a hustle job this year. Jessa, what a comeback from such a tore up knee and you are finishing just like last year. You 5 are a special group even even if it ends next round (I don't think so) and we are really proud of you. Please enjoy the rest and have fun.
  11. Imagine that. Someone from Moore Co. asking if some other gym is big enough to accommodate a game? That's funny. The Loretto Gym will prolly hold more than your gym.
  12. Congratulations to a really good group of girls. Nice job to stay undefeated this year in district and tourny play. Now lets see if we can shake that region first round gremlin. You ladies are class acts and a fun group to watch. Cudos to Franklin Co. for a very competitive effort last night and I hope you guys play well in the region. I would like to say that the district 8aaa girls teams this year may be down in competition this year but they at the top when it comes to sportsmanship and discipline and respect.
  13. Good darn question. A few years ago I asked what I considered a good coach about that one time and he said he was working out some kinks, and it was late in the season just like this. Well the way I see it all the kinks are on the bench this time of year. Get them up and work them out and give the work mules a rest. Show a little coaching class.
  14. I don't care for (posted: "good as they think they are"). These girls do not think they are are that good and that is a plus. My perspective as a parent and spectator is that they are like a strong 8 cylinder engine in an old hot rod, when all 8 cylinders are performing at the top level at the same time it will run away from almost every other car on the road. I use this because we have 8 ladies that play 95% of game minutes. They sometimes run on 4 cylinders at the same time and in game against real good compitition that will get you beat. when they figure out that this all at the same time type of performance then they will run away from most other teams on the floor. I do agree that R'dale is in a class to themselves and deserve the ranking. I do wish the 8aaa was a more balanced district this year. LCHS is the best team in 8aaa. Aside from all this we looked really weak during periods of two games (Moore Co. & Frnklin Co.) this year and was fortunate to get it together and pull out wins in both. Hopefully these were learning moments that they will not forget along with the close loss to Sparkman after leading the majority of the game.
  15. Honest, I'm not playing dumb here. They came to Lawrence Co. last Saturday and played and all I know is what I heard is that 4 starters are gone for the year. My question is, what happened? Did they quit or were they asked to leave? In either case, why? Cookeville has a good program and it was not the kind of game we are used to having with them.
  16. Well the time is almost here. The blue whiners are on the way here. The WILDCATS are getting ready. And the best thing of all is that it's raining here in Lawrenceburg and we love to watch the MUDCATS go when the field is nasty. The edge just got better. See ya @ 7 & be ready for a slobber knocker.
  17. I guess it all boils down to Tullahoma has to stop the run and LCHS has to stop the pass. The one that does this on defense and is able to keep the other teams offense from scoring much on adjustments should win. LCHS has the upper hand because of one key player and Tullahoma has home field. This could be one of the best games played in the state tonight. GO GO GO LCHS WILDCATS.....
  18. Go LCHS Wildcats. As long as Remmington takes care of the ball and Trent gets his carries in the 3rd & 4th quarters we will be fine. I'd like to know who is the injured DT(hope it's not Kennedy) but we should fill that spot and be able to still get the rush on, it's when we have a DE out it is hard to replace(that was evident in the Franklin Co game). This group of boys need to stay focused and play w/o penalties and t-overs so we can get our best shot at a home game for the first round. I think this is as good of team as last year(just not the line size) and it will probably be a couple years or more before we have the players to make this kind of district and play-off run again. Pulling for a lot of rain...Go MUDCATS
  19. LCHS by at least two TD's. Last year I remember standing high on the bleachers in the cold wet wind coming off the TN River in Savannah and watching a good Wildcat team take it to a Hardin Co team that was built up to have an offensive attack that most teams were unable to stop. A year could make a big difference, naw prolly not. GO WILDCATS.
  20. Stan Ridgeway, Lawrence Co. He is a senior and the last two years has a 40+ avg with some of the best hang time I've ever seen from a High School kid. A few weeks he pulled an upper leg muscle and has been sidelined for about 3 games. The Columbia game was worth the ticket price just to see Stan's performance.
  21. These 5 weekend games were money and time well spent. Scouts were only there a couple of games but my daughters playing time and the way things were run made it worth it for her. Good officials as a whole and good organization. The competition was up to par and most all the games were close and competitive. We will most likely do it again next fall with both girls instead of one. Thanks Coach Bechler.
  22. Based on our contact @ Loretto, they were not having one on this perticular weekend.
  23. The LCHS Lady Cat Booster Club is considering having a playday/jamboree for 7th/8th grade boys & girls teams @ Lawrence Co. High Gym on Oct. 15th & 16th as a tip-off to the season. Coaches can respond to this if you would be interested in playing. Teams from Lauderdale Co. Al, Maury Co., Lewis Co., Giles Co. Marshall Co. & Wayne Co. Tn are the teams that are local to us but would be open to any others.
  24. Why would you call it sticking his nose in when all three schools belong to Lawrence County School System? Everything that goes on at these schools IS his business. $$$ helps make a lot of these decisions easier. I had heard the same rumor and hope it plays out.
