Well I wouldn't go that far, but I bet there will be a decent crowd there. I bet 1/4 of the crowd will show up just to see who acting head coach will be and another 1/3 will leave after the bands play at halftime.

I would take that as a slap in the face if he didn't trust anyone on the current coaching staff to take the reigns for Friday nights game and appointed himself as acting head coach. In my eyes, it really shouldn't matter because you're supposed to have assistant coaches you trust and believe in, or they shouldn't be on your staff.

McMinn County only scored 10 points against Cleveland while Clinton scored 36 so maybe one could argue that Clinton has a better offense than McMinn? Either way, I don't think Clinton is good enough to beat Oak Ridge unless Clinton has a almost perfect game and OR plays bad.

Powell 3-2 travels to Halls 5-0 After Halls dismantled Carter, I'm really starting to believe this Halls team is for real. Does Halls winning streak finally come to an end, or do they keep rolling along toward that undefeated regular season? This should be a great game!! Who you have winning and why?

This has always been my favorite game of the year. I don't care if OR is 5-0 and Clinton is 0-5, I love it when these 2 teams play each other.

I know it's difficult to be positive after a loss.

We'll, they also have an entire week to prepare for him not being there unlike the McMinn County game. I think OR will be just fine. They'll be fired up I'm sure.

Clinton will probably struggle to stop Powell's run offense. Clinton will probably struggle to run the ball against Powell's front 7. Clinton's passing game could give Powell some fits as long as Keith has time to get the ball off.

I dunno.....

The Maryville teams I've always seen in the past was usually 2-3 players deep in almost every position. But I guess the Quarles years spoiled them. Being up at halftime by 4 or 5 scores and giving the backups valuable playing time in the second half helped develop depth. I don't see that same depth with these Hunt Maryville teams. I think Maryville should win comfortably this week, if not, they could be in trouble.

I haven't seen Rhea play this year but I feel like Cleveland can be explosive on offense and stingy in the run defense. Clinton's success against Cleveland seemed to be through the air. If I remember correctly, Cleveland pretty much shut down their run game. I'm gonna say Cleveland 28 Rhea 17
