  1. Maybe RBS underachieved during season because they always start off with a "cake walk" of a schedule. Larry "The Legend" White is notorious for that. Heard ya'll brought in a sub par jr. high team tonight. 78-21, Family Christian????? Come on, Seriously. No disrespect to Family Christian, but where does he find some of these teams?
  2. 1. LA- have won district now 6 or 7 years in a row, look to make a good run in the post season. 2. Cannon- returns some good players, with Davenport leading the way 3. Upperman- young but will be better at the end of the year 4. Dekalb- Coached well, may be able to get 3rd 5. York- Not real sure 6. Smith- still riding a 20-something game losing streak from last season. Wouldn't suprise me to see it grow....
  3. good post. He very well could have assisted the last 2 years, but chose not to.
  4. The show should be cancelled and new actors hired!
  5. Sorry, but no way defender or reciever was catching that ball. Well overthrown, shoulda been no-call.
  6. HAHA. I remember hearing about that. The boys knew before moose did....Gville needs to learn about chains of command.
  7. Agreed. There were many Gordonsville players I thought played their hearts out. And you are right, they have alot of talent which would frustrate me as a fan when you dont put up any points.
  8. I dont know if gordonsville fans notice this much, but it seems that a few players for gordonsville lack respect for their coaches. Of course I understand with the redundant play calling I would get frustrated to, but you still should not disrespect the coaches the way it looks like two of them were doing. It also looked as if these two certain players did not respect several teammates as well. I realize there is a time to get on to your teammate and try to fire them up, but it looked like after every play in the 2nd half especially once gordonsville got down, these two were chewing out their teammates or coaches. just an opinion. If I'm the only one who noticed I'll be quite. On another note, SC was typical SC in this game. Coaches making the necessary changes at halftime to shut down the Tigers. Seen it many times in this series. Gordonsville was typical Gordonsville, running same passing routes and same running plays. Good luck to both teams next week and rest of season. Go Owls!
  9. lost 5 to graduation I believe. Any names being thrown around as to who has applied and who might get this job?
  10. midtenn wouldn't be a Godwin would he???
  11. Gville wins this one pretty easily. Crange is way down this year. They were beaten last night by Jackson County by 30 and the other night by Clay by 20 so Gville can book their trip to livingston on tuesday. Got it a little backwards there..... JC beat them by 18, Clay beat them by 30, never the less, I think Gordonsville should win this one, if they play like they have been.
  12. Once again you prove that you are not who you are trying to make everyone think you are otherwise you wouldn't have made this post. Gordonsville never got to within one point last night after halftime and the refs didn't start making any foul calls against Gordonsville until less than 3 minutes to go in the game. The foul count at one time was 11-1 with 11 fouls called against Jackson County and only 1 against Gville. At the end of the 3rd it was 7-0 on fouls. Then it went 9-0 9-1 10-1 and 11-1. Thats when Gville started fouling because JC brought them out of their zone. I'm not complaining about the fouls so don't misunderstand, JC committed every foul they called, all i'm saying is that your post makes no sense. The refs didn't cause Gville to lose the game thats my point. Gville hit alot of shots, fade away 3's with a hand in their face all night long. If they shoot the ball that well night in and night out they will be a very tough team to beat. It was a sloppy game by JC but anytime you can play bad and win its got to make you feel good about your program! Maybe the reason JC looked sloppy is because they just aren't as good as you like to think. That 50+ prediction didnt quite hold up did it? From the way you talked I figured they would mow over G-ville. I thought they would be alot better ouside scoring team than they were. Of course first game jitters may have had a role, G-ville played a pretty good game, made shots and had a freshman I believe come in and play real well. That Reeder kid was unconcious! They could be a contender come tourney time depending on how their football boys transition in. I'm not saying JC is bad by no means, but definitly not a state tourney team. I believe FCS will be the team to beat in this region. They have the size to match any team and guard play was good last year, so I look for them to be better. Should be an exciting year in region 4a, I'm anxious to see what CR, PC, CC, and TC have to offer. what 50 point prediction the only one I've seen is yours in this post I PREDICTED 10It was directed at midten, on a previous topic he had said something about JC would win by 50, I thinkhe was just flapping his gills. I dont think I made a prediction.
  13. How does this one shape up? Looking forward to watching. Is CSAS a state contender this year?
  14. Maybe that is due in part to the way Forrest played.

  16. The TC/SC rivalry was a good one. Hate to see it diminish. I don't know all the details but don't understand why this rivalry has to end for the time being. SC should be strong next year do I understand, do not know what TC loses or has, but imagine they will be tough as well. I guess what I'm asking is who dropped who? Why? Could it be that SC is mad they got shut-out last year after shutting TC out 2 years in a row and is running away from another beating? Or was TC anticipating a blow out in the upcoming season and got out as quick as they could?
  17. Clay County will win this one in a landslide and prove to everyone in 7A and 8A why they are the front runner for this region. Gordonsville cant shoot ball well and doesnt play as a team. I watched them against Ezell and they lack some team unity. Clay County - 65 Gordonsville - 45
  18. With all due respect senator.... I think Clay is the team to beat in the district, but by seasons end, like you sort of implied in your post, I believe they will lose atleast one maybe two games in the district. That being said, I believe 8A has a good chance to take the region this year. Gordonsville and FCS should both be strong, and it would not suprise me to see either one of those teams beat Clay County!
  19. Ok then I believe you....... /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  20. Lets go BLUUUUUEEEEEE DEEEEEVVVVVIIIIILLLLLLLSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. And what title is that? Title as the worst team in district 7AA? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  22. I like FCS in this district. The runner-up being GHS. I dont know a whole lot about either of these teams but I know FCS is always fundamentally sound and where young last year so those kids have had a year to mature. GHS has some talent but from what I saw last year in some games, but they dont play together sometimes, had one or two who like to shoot it alot, and lets be honest to make it out of your district as champs and have a shot at doing anything in the region or state, you have to play as a team. You have to have the team first me second attitude, which I think some kids dont buy into at the high school age. If GHS can do that they might could make a run, but I'm sticking with FCS for now, they seemed to show that discipline last year. I think both should have pretty good years.
  23. Im going to go ahead and say that Clay County wins this region easily, the only other team that may be able to challenge them is FCS. Gordonsville will be a no show come tourney time and the rest of the teams in 7A are WEAK! Plus the region tourney is at LA this year so its not favoring for 8A.
  24. Boyd all the way Ambassador if your reading this........ Well then your reading it /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
