  1. Word is that Kathy Slaughter, the former coach at Siegel High School will be an assistant coach at Brentwood High School, under Barbara Campbell. Anyone else hear this that can confirm?
  2. AHHHHHHHH how sweet!!! Makes me all teary eyed. lol /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  3. The Lady Cavs have won all year without the support from White Co.!! What makes you think they want it NOW? You can leave them out of this all together. It won't make any difference one way or the other. Just adds negative fuel!!!!
  4. What does "sorry to hear about Cookeville" mean? Did something happen?
  5. Cookeville plays McGavock Thursday at 5:30 in State.
  6. CONGRATULATIONS Blackman Blaze and Cookeville Lady Cavs!! Both very deserving and classy teams. Coaches did a great job for both teams. 7AAA fans are very proud for both to represent the district. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  7. It isn't about White Co.!! Their not even playing. This thread is about Sectional games featuring Blackman/Walker Valley and Cookeville/Cumberland Co.!!!! Let's stick to the thread at hand. Start another thread if you want to boost the White Co. program. It is tournament time and YOU won't be there.
  8. You said "White Co. root for Cookeville? right" you seem to be speaking for White Co. in general. People from White Co. do work in Cookeville and shop in Cookeville. If they hate Cookeville that much, why not go on down the highway for resources. That was exactly what I am talking about. It really doesn't matter whether White co. roots for Cookeville or not. It won't have any effect on the outcome of the game.
  9. You strongly dislike Cookeville but you work in their city and utilize their resources. That is hard to figure out why such a hatred? I really don't think there is any love lost..............I gather the feeling is mutual!!!
  10. lol........RM to the rescue again! It was very obvious she avoided the coach and the hand shake!! Whatever!
  11. LOL..........you must have been in the bathroom because that was the only place you couldn't hear this lady.
  12. We sat across the gym and heard the man and woman yelling at the coach and players from Blackman. They sat about 4 rows up behind the Riverdale bench. She could be heard across the gym and looking and speaking directly to the Blackman bench. I'm sure like I said on the previous reply, it had to have something to do with the fact that Blackman turned her in for the violation. Just seemed that way from an outsider looking in!!
  13. Ditto.............I was at both games and you are absolutely right in all statements you made. It truly was a get back at Blackman for her TSSAA ruling on the recruitment violation. The confusing part about the punishment handed down from TSSAA is the fact that nothing affected this years team, just next year. Why wouldn't the punishment go against them this year? Just wondered!
  14. When do we as adults set the standards for our teenagers fo follow. That is always the excuse "they are just teenagers"! It is time for our teenagers to step up and make some decisions based on right and wrong. That was wrong to watch your team mates fighting in the lockerroom! They were smart enough to video and know how to put it on utube. So when do we hold them accountable to make the right decision? It is nice to see an adminstration step up and do the right thing. Someone needs to get the message across to teenagers that everything they do is not fine!! There are always consequences for our actions!! Where were their team captains?
  15. Randy King is by far the best coach in 7AAA men's basketball. He has been doing it along time and will always get the best out of his team! Congratulations Coach King!
  16. High school only. These are records kept by individual schools. It is a great accomplishment!!
  17. CONGRATULATIONS to Erin Helton of Cookeville High School, she broke the scoring record for Cookeville Lady Cavs last night against Warren Co.. The record was 1527 career points held by Ashley Taylor and Erin broke it scoring 21 points to score 1530. Great job and a great career so far at Cookeville High. It isn't over yet!! Best of luck the rest of the season to you and the rest of the team.
