  1. You shouldn't use that language on CoachT! If you were just pointing it out for everyone else's benefit you would have just said " If everyone will notice that's not the same screen name..." and not replied to my message at all. Excuse me for not having proper message board etiquette. I will try to do better in the future.
  2. Don't be a jackass I was simply pointing that out for everyone else's benefit...
  3. Nice try! FAIL!!!! If you'll notice that's not the same screen name...
  4. Good method and very creative, but I think you could get closer than .1 second. If you can't you're talking a difference in maybe millions in the league. Just ask Eric Berry and Joe Haden. "Experts" are predicting a huge swing in where these two are taken and that can mean a huge swing in money, all because of their 40 times. I don't think it means as much as other drills, but it must mean something because it can cost a team millions. Oh well, what the heck do I know?
  5. I agree to an extent. It all depends on how they are timed to me. Laser time is always a notch slower than the stopwatch. To me a 40yd dash means absolutely nothing. It's all about explosiveness on the football field. I have seen many players have 40 times that aren't anything impressive, but when you put them on the field the kids can flat out play. If someone is speaking of a 4.5 or lower 40, bottom line, the kid is fast straight ahead. I don't regularly watch players at any level on the football field run a 40yd dash on a regular basis. I'm much more interested in shuttle drills with change of direction.
  6. I agree they have alot of out of Liberty Tech and may can rule the roost in West Tn! They are in Class 4A and its a very tough class once you cross the river! It will hard to do on a year in and out basic! what?
  7. CoverZero: Are you still laughing??? Yes I am. But I am surprised and Impressed with the Cougars victory. Go get another.
  8. hahaha....you're an idiot. Henry County is not the end of the world but you can see it from there...I'm amazed you know how to type? Shouldn't you be out gathering road kill for dinner? No I already did that. When did "I'm amazed you know how to type?" become a question and "embrodered" become a word?
  9. And what lack of class did you see in the "7 point spanking"? You know you are a real winner when your first name is embrodered on your work shirt. You and the rest of the homers trash talked for weeks.....hope you sit home and watch wrestling again this year during the finals. hahaha....you're an idiot.
  10. That is a possiblity. The Titans winning out and making the playoffs, then going to the Super Bowl is a possibility, too.
  11. 5A--I think all Memphis teams will win in Round 1. Melrose will take Bartlett--Been there before know how to get it done. Mitchell will beat JNS-- JNS just won't be able to hang with the speed and power of a tough Mitchell team. Craigmont over Lawrence Co. -- I gotta believe LC is overrated and Craigmont is good enough to win. Ridgeway over Hardin Co. -- I have no doubt Ridgeway advances, Ridgeway is no Adamsville.
  12. Congrats on a successful season Hardin Co.! My opinion (which doesn't amount to much) sends Hardin Co. packin with a first round exit.
  13. Ridgeway will upset Hardin Co. although I don't see that as an upset. Craigmont will likely upset Lawrence Co. This is a tough quad. The Memphis teams are deceiving because they have beat the crap out of each other all year long. They are much better than records indicate! Especially Mitchell and Melrose.
  14. That sounds great if you are running for office, but lets be serious. If success were measured by learning life lessons, nobody would ever be fired for coaching football. Every coach wants to win.
  15. We don't disagree here. If a player gets tired where he isn't playing a position well, its time to sub because he is no longer the best player. Until that happens, the best player should be on the field whenever needed. Regardless if he plays both ways and all special teams.
  16. The only time opinions aren't valid is when they aren't smart.
  17. Sounds like you and Patriot04 should sit down and have a cold one while discussing this weeks gameplan.
  18. patriot04: Your quote of stats tell you WHY he played both ways and WHY he ran 20 times last night. 127 yards rushing AND 9 tackles AND an int? Also ... your team came back from a 18-6 deficit to win? Sounds like to me that the HC coaches knew exactly what they were doing. No one likes playing a player both ways if it can be helped, but if the game is tight you may have to put your best athletes on both offense and defense if you don't have confidence in the other guys who play those position(s) to do what you KNOW those gifted athletes can do. It's a confidence issue. Besides, you said it yourself, he played Calvin both ways last year ... it seems to be his M.O. I understand that and we should play him both ways but about 5 of his 20 runs were for loss when the guy comin around on the option had a lot of room. It might be the qb decision on not handin it off. But we have to see the defense first before we make a decision on option plays. And another thing I noticed is everytime we brought 2 tightends in we ran the same play and lost yards. But coach gaddis knows how to win so I think we will be much improved against humboldt. They are small but have a lot of speed. We have to get back to the basics and block and tackle well. Let's get on to humboldt. If only 5 of his 20 runs were for a loss then that leaves 15 for positive yardage. I think HC rushed for 250+ yards and beat a good football team last night. You should take your suggestions to the fieldhouse before practice on Monday and report back to us on how that conversation went.
  19. I didn't know they added Creekwood to the Clarksville-Henry Co. district.
  20. HC has so many of those "not to mention" guys that its not worth mentioning! I don't care about who bulldoze people, who has hands like velcro, or who can outrun an ostrich. Bottom line is its a team game and its apparent that these are to very good teams. Game plans will be important but who cares who has a better staff! Lets just watch the boys play some darn good high school football. Its going to be a good game with two very good offenses going against some pretty good defenses! Good luck to both teams but Im pulling for the BIG RED all the way! Stay focused HC you're going to need it! Go Big RED!
  21. Saying one thing and then doing it are two totally different stories. I have a hard time believing that any HC fan believed we were going to kill them. Most of us who have been around here enough knew EXACTLY what they were getting into. Should be a great game again this Friday. I would like to say we will kill Hillsboro, but Im not a "fool" as Warrior would say. Go Big Red!
