  1. I don't know about WHH going to state, I seen them play the Eagleville JV team at MTCS on Sat 3/10. I can't speak for CA, I haven't seen them play.
  2. It's impossible for me to believe as many players that have transferred from Shelbyville Central, Tullahoma and Unionville for football, baseball and basketball, that anyone from Cascade would still bring up this subject. We have three that transferred from Riverdale on the baseball roster, you guys have two from Tullahoma and one from Shelbyville this year, sounds about even to me. I would like to hear more about who Bob thought he saw (wearing Cascade gear) this past Saturday.
  3. Would it be fair to refer to Cascade Champions as the Cascade "Eagles" Mr.10? I didn't think so, people who live in glass houses should not throw rocks. If my memory is correct Cascade's team has transfers from Shelbyville (hint) and Tullahoma but everyone set out the required amount of time for a transfer. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Cascade coaches and players, I'm really glad they don't share your views.
  4. Eagleville started the game with Hammonds, the Jr. lefty. He struggled early in the game to find the strike zone and was replaced early with Davenport. I don't know who will start on the hill in today's game for Eagleville, if I was to guess I would say Coach will go with Hammonds but I've been wrong before. I think both Smith and Carcuff both pitched a great game yesterday, either team could have easily scored 2 or more runs than the final score reflected but good pitching has a way of leaving men on base.
  5. Stealing signs might well be part of Spring Hill's game but not Eagleville's. IMO that shows a lack of character for the head coach as well as his program. If that is truly "part of the game" why did the SH head coach shut his mouth when he was called out on it? I'm sure that was his terminology he used while justifing sign stealing to his team. I would think he would keep on playing his game after being called out on it if this is an acceptable practice. Have you ever wondered why there isn't a box marked off at SH for the base coaches? If there isn't a box marked off the coach can roam anywhere in foul play, notice where the grass is worn off your 3rd base line, real close to the line- enough said. Judging from this I would say we were not the first team this has happened too. You are correct about the walks, hard to defend a walk.
  6. Very kind words Yota52. If you are a former Rutherford countian I know who you are, Bryan was a very fortunate boy to have you as a coach back then, he carries your hard practice ethic today. Cameron has also developed into quite a "wall" behind the plate. You made a great impact on these two boys and several more I bet. I hope all is well with you and yours. Thanks
  7. Your baseball program is without a doubt better than your spelling program. Our #3 did struggle and left several up in the zone. We did not pitch our 1, 2 or 4. May have been a different game on a field with a backstop deeper than four feet and an outfield deeper than 285'.
  8. We played Cornersville last night, got beat 8 to 3. They out hit us no doubt, they probably had 13 or 14 hits to our 5 or 6. I'm pretty sure their #2 started and their #1 finished. We also left the bases loaded twice, that never helps.
  9. Ryan and Patrick both will probably get some time this season. Coach Moore does an excellent job- he and Coach Pip gets a lot out of the boys but they also put alot into the program. We are returning 6 out of 9 players who started the last few games last year. We lost our catcher, CF and 2nd baseman. Cameron Boyett (Soph) will take over the C position, Tyler Davenport will play CF (all district Sr.) and will probably rotate players thru the 2nd position depending on who is pitching. Other players expected to make an impact will be Matt Warner (DH Soph), Kevin Brown (1st Sr) and Bryan Smith (all district SS and RHP, Soph).
  10. Eagleville won there season opener against DeKalb County 9 to 6. The guys had a couple of errors but the bats and pitching looked pretty good.
  11. The Eagleville scrimmage against Franklin Co. is this Saturday, we should find out alot about our boys then, minus the guys still playing basketball. Sounds like we are just like every other team at this point in time- pitching is pretty good, hitting is a little behind.
  12. We lost two pitchers, out catcher and our second baseman but we have some pretty good kids to take their spots. I like our chances at Eagleville this year. I know Cascade, MTCS and Chapel Hill all lost some key players but I'm sure their coaches will have these spots filled as well. Unionville has a new coach, I don't know anything about him. Should be an interesting season.
  13. I see now how GM has gotten into the mess they are in, they have outsmarted themselves. Go Eagles!
  14. I don't know if Blackman will take it this year but it will be very interesting to see what happens in the few years with Coach Parker, he will have his team on top before long. Not only is he a fair coach with no political ties, he is a great motivator.
