Sunbright has been putting up big numbers. Competition may have been a tad on the weak side though. Coalfield ran thru a bad Copper Basin team kike caster oil through a goose. They got it handed to them very handidly against 4A power Knox Catholic. Coalfield is a great team it is just to much for a small 1A team to compete with the big boys. My hats off to them for trying. Most 1A teams wouldn't even consider such a game. Sunbright and Coalfield both seem to have escaped any major injuries the 1st 2 weeks. I believe it will be a great game Sunbright has a great offense but defensively their games tend to be shoot outs. Coalfield has a top notch offense and a stubborn defense when playing against 1A and 2A teams. I love the Tigers and want them to win but I believe the Jackets will sting the tigers and get back to their winning ways. Im rooting for the Tigers. Here's hoping for a clean, safe game!!

Ain't no way possible of that happening even though I wish it would. I'm rooting for the Dogs though!! Any time OZ goes down is a good thing!!

A jagernaut of 2 powerful far east teams that might win one playoff game against another far east team before they play someone that puts them out. Just my opinion but good luck anyway and I hope your team wins!!

If Sunbright can play like it did against Oliver Springs I think the Oneida game is very winable. It will be tough going up there to Indian Country and bringing home a victory. I'm rooting for the Tigers all the way!!!

Its a shame that the game of the year in Morgan County is this early!! Should be a good one, both teams are playing good ball!! I'm picking the Tigers. Last year we were a missed extra-point away from sending it to Over Time!! Here is hopes for a clean, injury free game!! Lets go Tigers!!

I think the county will actually have good football this year. Sunbright and Coalfield with the best teams hands down in my opinion. Oakdale is also looking better from their scrimmage results this year. Wartburg will have a terrible year I'm afraid. I hope the players stick it out and not get down and quit like kids today sometimes do. They will be fine in a year or so. They have a great coach. I'm gonna pick Sunbright to take the county and I'm picking with my heart mostly. I know it will be a tall order to take Coalfield down. I think we can do it at home this year. Came oh so close last year at their place. I know in the grand scope of things we will be lacking against the South Pittsburgs out there but we will be pretty good,. Our District will be good also. Oneida and Oliver Springs will be tough. Oneida will be a machine I'm afraid. Good luck to all the county teams and District foes alike. Here's hope for a successful and safe season to all!!

Trezevant is the dirtiest playing team I have ever seen play. At least it was broadcasted live and was seen and not he said she said stuff. That coaching staff needs something done, and the players committing the flagrant personal fouls need something done also. Trezevant thugs instead of the bears!!

Great Year Wartburg!! We are very proud of you boys. You all had a great year, nothing to hang your heads about. You all ran into a good Boyd Team. Congrats Boyd, great team, very classy bunch also. Best of luck the rest of the way BUCS!!!

You are right pujo about the play-offs pujo. I would do the same for my kids also. I'm sure Boyd is a great school, and lots of kids want to go there. They still recruit the other way though.

Thats another tactic. Make a statement like the person talking about recruiting is ignorant and knows nothing. I don't claim to know much, but you all still recruit. It don't take a genuis to know this. I've lived down in that area in the past when you all were a terrible team, and always had been. Then boom goes the dynamite......State Champions and 2 or 3 runner ups since the recruiting started. Its amazing!!!

You are wrong. The US army recruited me. It wasn't for anything fun like sports though. So i guess we do have a little in common.

Say what you want. Its the same from each and every private school that plays with public schools. I'm sure you have heard it many times, I have no doubt. You aren't coming up with any golden morsels yourself. It doesn't benefit me one way or another. You recruit!! Its no excuse, I'm not saying it to make myself feel better. I'm stating the truth. Its no secret, we all know. Don't be ashamed by it. You can say whatever you want, paint a picture that draws the attention away from it. We still know....you recruit.

I'm not giving up on them or throwing in the towel. We may lose or we may win, and I am rooting for Wartburg, but Boyd still recruits whether we win or lose. You recruit its not a excuse for us winning or losing. Don't get confused. That seems to be the popular answer from some of the Boyd denizen. Turn the recruiting statements into something that tries to take away from the fact that you do recruit. I'm not calling you all cheats, I'm saying you recruit. Don't mis-understand

You can yawn and cough or puke. The truth will be setteled on Friday night. No Boyd hob nob is not going to tell me anything about how great their all stars are and how elite they are and put down our sub par, talent starved and cream puff playing team and not expect me to point out a few of the truths of the private school. You can play it off as ho hum, make a statement that tries to draw attention from what was said, but we know. Its no secret, no high and mighty person is going to change this. Get over it, we know how it is done. There are quite a few intellegent Boyd folks on here that love their team and make no qualms about who they think will win. Thats the way to be, we try to be that way. It kinda makes the fuzz stand up on the back of our necks though when some oletigers get on here and act like they are so superior to everyone. We might lose Friday and I will hate it but the sun will still rise if its the good Lords will. We might also, heaven forbid I say this....Win also. Thats why they are gonna play this game. I remember not so long ago when you all couldn't stick a greased peg up a billy goats aaaaaaa, I better not go there. We may have to spread out our recruiting area. We only recruit in Petros, Joyner, Mossy Grove, Arms Chapel and the Goby and Greasy Creek area...........wait, I'm sorry those areas are Wartburg bound anyway. Oh well, forget expanding our recruiting area. Maybe we could get several rich donors to help us with that talent edge we seem to lack. Maybe we could recruit from the Hamilton County area because their system seems to be pitiful as stated by a few on here, that the county stars will go ahead and let the few private schools down there pay their tuition after a little arm twisting of course. Maybe we could hit Bradley County also and maybe give a couple of North Georgia stars a Tennessee address. I'm just saying.....the state line is in question any way.

We will see Friday. Wartburg's sub par talent that wouldn't make Boyds starting line up of talented players. You might be right, but...........I think Wartburg will handle themselves just fine against such a talented team. We will see Friday!!

Wait till you all see the spread that Wartburg throws at you, you won't have time to think let alone defend it all night. I'm liking the Bucs thinking this will be a cake walk. I'm sorry, I wasn't calling BB cheaters by compairing them to Grace. I was meaning their fast Climb to the top. I was just trying to stir the pot really. I've never heard anything bad towards Boyd actually. I didn't think much about the comparison to Grace and I can see taking offence by it. Please accept my apology. I'm rooting for the dogs but I know it will be a rough hill to climb to get the victory. I'm sure it will be a clean hard hitting game. You have to be pretty tough beating Hampton like you did. $8500 a year for a student to go there, that is if he or she is not recieving an athletic scholorship or what ever you call it. We don't hold against you all though. Thats the way most country folks are. There is no one that we look down our nose at. The rich folks seem like they have to act that way to fit in with the in crowd. The thing is alot of us country folk make just as much or more money than the high society private sector that travel in their chartered bus lines to away games. We work at Oak Ridge, TVA, we are public servants, Drs, Lawyers just like the private sector. We feel our kids recieve a great education and has great times playing sports. $8500 we can't really understand that......oh but wait....the advantages for the athletic teams at these high dollar private schools makes it all clear now. I see says the blind man.... I'm just having fun with you all, just don't drink to much champagne on your way up here, you wouldn't want to get lost......Dueling Banjos playing off in the distance........

You all are the Grace Christian of Chattanooga. I remember a couple of times in the 90's Sunbright beating you all like 50 to 0. Then your recruits started coming thru big time then bam state champions. The teams from the rual areas like most 2a teams. We play the hands we are dealt. Wartburg has a good team, don't over look them. You all have probably more players, play in alot finer facilities, have the tops in everything that is going in high school football. Wartburg is not bad though. It won't be a cake walk. The dogs do the best with what they have. Boyds weight room is probably worth more than Wartburg Central Elementary, we will be ready though. I like the wealthy teams coming to our area and sees how their public school brothers live. Go Dogs show them how we play football where we earn everything we have. Good luck to both teams. I hope for a safe and clean game for both teams.

Copper Basin put Coalfield out last year in the 1st round. Won't happen this time around. Coalfield gets their revenge 35-14 just like you all did against Harriman which put the Cougars out in the 2nd round last year.

Wartburgs assistant coach had ahold of #30 trying to hold him back. #30 was fighting, it was like trying to hold a wild horse and it looked like the coach was getting rough. The coach was on Oliver Springs staff last year and is a preacher in Roane County. You can try and turn this around like you are trying to do. Watch the film. The coach did nothing out of line, he knew the kid and was trying to hold him back. If #30 hadnt got held back he would have hurt someone and got himself hurt, both stands would have got on the field and it would have been on CNN. There is no place for that in any sports.
