Lake County played well. Stellar from the line finished 20 of 21. Thought Bradford played well but their gameplan was terrible. Tried to beat us with their outside shooting and scoring off the dribble instead of going to the big girls underneath. They never led.

Greenfield will host Halls. Lake Co. Will host Bradford, Humboldt travels to South Fulton and Trenton should save their money and stay home rather than going to Union City.lol

I will agree Chipper that Ready is their key to success. I was on the wall and could hear her rallying UC. If she didn't do that they lose to us last night. She commanded them in the 4th and I noticed none of the other girls bucked her. She hit the go ahead three and put everyone in place to win the game.

Yep I'd hope we don't make it to. A little close for comfort tonight. Lol

UC wins 51-42 but it was much closer. UC is good but not unbeatable. LC will have another shot to beat them in the tourney. Now let the fun begin!

Who knows Chipper, if LC shoots well and we finally get an over the back or 3 sec call, we may shock the world tonight. Lol

LC loses by 1. Refs let them beat each others brains out all game and then decide to blow the whistle on the last play to send SF to the line for the win. Good effort from a LC team at half strength on the road. Led the entire game for the most part.

Lake County limps into South Fulton for a big game tonight. Flu and injuries giving the Lady Falcons fits. A win would seal 2nd place for LC. They will have to dig deep to upset SF on their homecourt.

Copenoc the same can be said of the purple cyclones and every other single A school when you play triple A schools that recruit. Lol. We just lacked the depth to make it to the fourth.

Lake County beats Dyer County 71-57 tonight. Good solid game from the Lady Falcons who improve to 13-4 and 9-2 in district 14A.

Agree Bigster that it is crucial to be a top two seed. LC rolls over Trenton last night and now goes outside district play tonight at home against Dyer Co. Not a must win but need to continue the momentum.

Lake County gets a little help from their friends at Greenfield who give South Fulton their third loss of the year and leave LC in control of second place in the district. LC still needs to win at SF and Bradford.......a win at home against UC would also be big. I think SF plays UC, LC, and at Halls over the next week. Those will be three really tough games as well.

Lake County beats Humboldt 58-33. Now 8-2 in district play.

9 times out of 10 I agree to foul. This time it was not as cut and dry. Why? We have only seven players. Five of them had 4 fouls at that point. If anyone other than Shamon were to have fouled they were gone. They also had the biggest girl we have played all year. Chances were pretty good she would get the reboundand possibly get the foul or stickback.they weren't shooting good from 3pt range. Don't have a problem with the decision but a real problem with the incredible number of fouls called. Thirty on the home team, made it impossible to defend. Par for the course this year.

If you don't understand the rivalry and hatred between UC and LC you probably didn't play. The fact ya'll say its only Lake County fans is exactly why we feel that way. UC fans are the worst...case in point the UC student section. You can deny it all you want but it definitely goes both ways. Now take off your purple and gold halos and be yourselves lol. To quote my favorite movie Tombstone Should I hate em? Something around the eyes reminds me of me....nope I'm sure of it...I hate em. Lol

You hit the nail on the head Bigster. We've been giving just enough effort to win and that got us beat by a really hot shooting team. When was the last time anyone scored 78 on us at home? We score 60+ we never lose.

LC lost to Halls 78-66. Halls shot lights out. 7-9 from three point range in first half alone. We are struggling with chemistry right now. Liberty comes to town tomorrow night.

Chipper I just hope this one is competetive after the egg we layed at UC. We have struggled with our FG% since the Christmas break and if we want to win this one (and we do) then we have to shoot the ball much better than we did against Greenfield and Middleton this weekend. Shamon Pearson is still playing very well, we just need everyone else to step back up. Any word whether Nettles will play tomorrow night and the extent of her injury? She has improved greatly and is a piece of the puzzle UC will need to challenge for state. As bad as I dislike UC (and we all know I really hate UC) no one wants to see these kids injured, and if we beat UC we want to beat them with all of their players. I hope she is back on the court soon. This game is huge for LC. A win against UC pretty much seals second place if not first and would mean we wouldn't have to play UC again until the district championship (if we both make it). Nobody wants to be stuck on UC's side of the bracket in the tourney.

Benjammin I gotta reply to that. The refs were horrible and one sided in the girls game as well. Called 7 straight fouls on us at one point....but it backfired and cost your girls the game cause they had three fouls to give and couldn't send us to the line. I call that justice.lol

Lake County beats Middleton by 8 tonight at Middleton.

Lake Co loses at Middleton. Not a good night. Shamon sat most of the game with four fouls and fouled out. Every LC player had three or more fouls while Middleton post had two. Look forward to playing them in Tiptonville. Any truth that Nettles has a serious knee injury? That would be devastating for UC. Praying its not so and for her. She is fun to watch when shes playing someone else.

Greenfieldfan why do you think LC can't beat UC when Bradford loses to UC by 1 in OT tonight? I think they are beatable on a given night when someone comes out fired up. Agree tonight was not pretty but a big win for LC in the district. Our girls didn't give up down 5 with 25 secs left in one of the toughest venues in the district. I think the district has done pretty well against outside competition and is not as down as much as even across the board. This LC team was a big reason for TT's success so don't think it's fair to say they are that bad. They have been able to get the job done so far. Thought LC out coached Greenfield tonight down the stretch. This is our first game since the middle of December so it was ugly, but very sweet as well. 10-1 and play at Middleton tomorrow and that UC game looming as they come to Tiptonville Tuesday night. Should be fun win or lose.

GC you continue to use Dyersburg, Westview, and Obion Central in proving your point how much better GC is than the teams in 14A.....just because ya'll "played" with them? Let's look at how those teams have faired against 14A this year. Dyersburg has only played two 14A schools both of which are at the bottom of the district. They beat Bradford in a game that was close until the end, and Halls really bad. Westview is 2-2 against 14A opponents with a win against Greenfield who beat GC. Obion Central is 2-0 against 14A beating South Fulton twice in games that SF could have easily won including an OT win. Using these teams does not help your case at all. You can take shots at the last few LC teams all you want. Yes we should have a couple of gold balls and don't.....but we have a very good basketball program, as do some other 14A schools......you will experience that firsthand over the next few years. Pretty funny how you blast us for talking middle school games and then end your post saying how ya'll are about to get good middle school players.......Middle school is where you learn to win and it prepares you for the next level........or at least it does here in LC. lol
