I wouldn't take that one starter too lightly. They will be good, but its hard to replace a kid who scored 36 against Clarksville Academy.

If that was the case, then two very talented coaches at Stown and Wayne Co would be doing it. When Summertown ran with PC, they got beat. When they slowed them down, PC loses by ten. Its hard to run on the likes of Mercer, Hill and Tucker. Not to say it can't be done, just not the strategy I would use.

PC travels a long way and gets a good win in the district. I believe the loss to Riverside was blown way out of proportion, but winning against Lorretto doesn't prove that, but I think they will be just fine, and should still be the favorite, with the district in their building.

Sounds like mrbigster has a certain grudge against Tucker? Maybe it's because he torched yall a couple months ago in football, but that's just me. As for excuses, PC has none, with two teams like that, it's whoever plays better that night. Your supposed to win on your homecourt. And both teams did that.

Decent? I believe PC is better than "decent" at shooting the ball. Ask Riverside how well Rhodes can shoot it, not to mention Dill.

Haston looks to be a good fit with this group of players. PC has some work to do, but the Tuesday night game against Summertown should be a great one. Go PC.

Hats go off to Jo Byrns, they played the type of game that it takes to beat PC, contain Tucker and Mercer and get enough pressure so he can't find any of the other guys even if they are open. Great gameplan that was well executed. Good luck, take it all the way.

This should be a great game. In PC vs WC, adrenaline will be flying and it brings out the best in players. I think PC wins a close one 24-20.

The fact that certain people from PC are still talking about the RHS game makes me think they are being a sore loser about it. I agree with Radio, Richland is who they play next. The test of a true great team is how short of a memory they have when it comes to win and losses. Admit you lost to a good team, fix your mistakes, and go out and prove you are a team to be reckoned with. Enough said.

From what I hear, East Hickman is no push-over, but Perry County has too much talent not to run away with this game in my opinion. Perry Co. has high expectations this year, and I believe they take the game 35-14.

Well yea, just a little. First of all, PC just played the game of the year and a team full of sophmores had made it to region without anyone giving them a chance, that's a big emotional swing for such a young team. S'Town is just a better team than PC, but I would'nt say weak. You don't make it to the Region tournament by being "weak".

PC beats Wayne County 3-2. One of the best high-school baseball games played, with great defense behind both pitchers. Shanes from PC pitched the game of his life, had a no-hitter through five, and only gave up 2 or 3 hits all night. I don't think anyone predicted this outcome.

PC won 14-4. WP Richardson. LP Simbeck. Simbeck walked pretty much all the runs in and PC didn't chase and made him throw strikes. I'm guessing Ray is on the mound for WC tonight.

It's shaping out to be a good tournament. Loretto plays PC today for a chance at the S'town/WC loser for a spot in the Region tournament. I'm guessing Loretto will throw Simbeck, and Richardson for PC.

Pippenger might be the MVP. He is a good catcher & the best hitter in the district. Best hitter? Nah, close, but I still give the edge to Simbeck. He is a power-hitter as well as a guy who gets on base alot.

If Wayne County starts to look ahead to Region to soon they may be in for a suprise. They have to go through either Loretto or PC to get there, and both teams are liable to beat them. They split with Loretto and PC played tough with them on the road.

I think what Radio is saying is, Summertown is very beatable when Huddleston is not on the mound, but with him, they are major contenders. The lineup is deep, but I don't think deep enough to win this region.

Winner of PC/C-Wood play S'Town. Winner of Loretto/Clifton play Wayne Co. Not sure of who the loser plays.

PC plays C-Wood at 5:30, Loretto vs. Clifton after that game. PC's field needs work, but should be ready in time.

I agree GRAD, that 16U would be pretty good. With Rice, Butler, Qualls and Grimes in that lineup, it would be great to see.

They won't have a bracket until Thursday after the meeting.

I faced M. Anderson and I agree, he is a dominate pitcher. He has to be up there at the top of best players in TN.

I don't believe S'town will pitch Huddleston against PC if they make it to the second round. Coach Burleson has enough confidence in Chard and K.J. to start and maybe bring him in to close. And Chard got the final two outs against PC Tuesday night after PC scored 5 in the last two innings against K.J.
