Since this post was supposed to be about coaches, players, & fans. I will only make 1 comment on the ref situation.
Referees always say it isn't THAT Coaches make comments, its the WAY they make the comments. Agreed that is correct.
I have coached this sport in 3 states, CA & AZ, the referees there would always have more control over the game and players and coaches always respected the ref more for 1 reason only. Referees when they made a call that a player or coach verbally challenged at the beginning of the game, the referee would say this comment " Sorry coach, that is the way I saw it and that is all I can do!" /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
As a coach you are dumbfounded /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> at that point and there really isn't anything else you can say, but "OK!"
Everyone is in agreement that refs are human and make what we think is a mistake, but refs here call the game like they are perfect, and ALL Comments are made in that fashion which only causes an argument!
If you think you are right, and the ref says "I'm right and you are wrong!" then WHAT DO REFS EXPECT TO HAPPEN, YOU AREN'T OUR PARENTS AFTER ALL!!! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
Enough about that!
That whole thing takes care of players and coaches as well, so lets move onto fans.
I think players coaches and refs ALL need to cutoff there Rabbit Ears and play the game!
Fans are exactly that FANS! short for FANATICS! they are going to be abusive and loud! is there really anyone who doesn't want more fans at our Games?! It is a whole lot better atmosphere when you have this!
If you don't think so, go to a small country town where no one cares about soccer and watch there game, and tell me your atmosphere is not better!
