  1. Bearden, Centennial, Farragut, Hendersonville. Who makes it through to the finals on Friday? Predictions and then scores tomorrow after the games. Good luck to all teams
  2. All I have to say to that is they you must not be familiar with the Hendersonville program. Teams in the past have come to upset them. It happens almost every year for this team. Im not taking anything away from Portland. They did a great job and won against the projected top team in the district. But I wouldn't be so quick to say that you will win the next match. Just looking at the history, if a team upsets Hville, the next match is not so pretty. Lavergne in 07 upset = 4-0 win by Hville the next time they played. Mt. Juliet in 08 upset = 4-0 win by Hville the next time they played. Im not saying that Portland cant be the cinderella team here... But it will be the hardest games of their lives when a Hville team comes back to punish the underdog who took them by surprise. Good luck to both teams.
  3. Wow... Hendersonville definitely needs to step it up. This seems to happen every year for this powerhouse team. They start off overconfident, lose to a team that should be an easy win, and it always seems to wake them up a bit. I believe that they will bounce back. But before they can they need to understand that games like this will not just be given to them. They have to come out to play every game as if they are playing a brentwood or bearden. If they are playing an easier team, then they are expected to win by a large margin. Hendersonville, you need to step it up if you are wanting to be the powerhouse team you have been in the past.
  4. As the post season tournament continues, what teams pulled an upset and what are the big name teams that have already ended their season? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  5. Now that the regular season is about to come to an end, what were the most suprising teams and what were the most disappointing teams? This is soley based on the regular season. Obviously teams still have an opportunity to step it back up during tournament time. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  6. I BELIEVE that Centennial beat Ravenwood, but I am not sure of the actual score. But this game is a very interesting one so if anyone has anymore details on the game, I would love to hear about it. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  7. Well lavergne won 3-2 so maybe this team is a team to look out for.
  8. I was not trying to bash anyone. Just wanted to make that clear. All im saying is that i hope that they can pull it together and play to their full potential because there is nothing worse than a good team with tons of potential not make it very far because they cant seem to get it going. Lets just hope they start playing better.
  9. I agree, Bedell is a strong keeper, but still only one goal is tough against a weaker team. Granted Hume Fogg does seem to be having trouble putting the ball in the back of the net. They better start finishing better because they are going to face teams much more difficult than hillwood.
  10. Well if thats the case then Las needs to get it together and start playing to their full potential. Scrimmages are over now and every game means something. So if Las is indeed a strong team, they didnt show it against Cookeville. Maybe we will see a better result in their next match.
  11. There are not many details needed in this game. It was pretty much a dominating performance for Cookeville. Livingston Academy just seemed to be playing catch up from the very beginning and Cookeville never slowed down. Great job by this Cookeville team to start off the season. They look pretty strong.
  12. Yes, this seems like a very good game. It will tell us if LaVergne is for real or not. I'm excited to see the result. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  13. I like the predictions. Seems like every team is around the spot they should be in. However, i think LaVergne might be ranked a little low. I heard they tied Brentwood 0-0 in a scrimmage. Is this score true? And if it is, granted that the game was only a scrimmage, is LaVergne a surprise team to look out for this year?
  14. Im just wandering what are the better keepers in middle tennessee. Do the projected top teams like JP2, Hendersonville, and Brentwood have decent keepers? I know that both Hendersonville and Brentwood both graduated a good starting keeper so who will take their place? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" And i agree, Bristol is probably one of the best if not THE best in the state.
  15. Taking all teams into consideration (A, AA, AAA, private, etc.) what are the predicted top five teams in the state? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  16. I agree. Indepedence is going to be a very strong team this year and will be tough to beat. But I would love for another team in this district to come out and pull an upset. Anything can happen as we all saw last year. Look for Indepedence to be on top. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  17. Yes talk about some powerhouse teams!!! That district should be the toughest district in the state hands down next year. Good luck to those teams... /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  18. I think people are just saying that hendersonville has the weapons to win state this year combined with the fact that other powerhouse teams have lost some great players and may be weaker this year... but i agree, until hendersonville proves that they can actually use those weapons and play like the team everyone is building them up to be, they are no different than other schools in the state hungry for a state championship... but i do believe that hendersonville will do fairly well this year /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. Hendersonville is obviously a state competitor this year and i think everyone knows that.... but you cant start talking a team up before the season has even begun. last year, bearden was one of the favorite state condenders but look how their season ended. just because a team has the talent does not mean they will automatically have success. so if hendersonville stays healthy and plays to their full potential, then yes hendersonville can compete with any team in the state... but dont be so quick to brag on your beloved team...
  20. Because you dont need new players to have a better team than the previous year.... all you need is for you current players to mature and improve in game play. also, teams that did very well last year such as brentwood wont be as strong which opens up a new window for teams like independence... brentwood didnt win state two years ago, didnt gain anybody huge the next year, and then ended up going undefeated and winning state because the players that played for them the previous year improved greatly and they played with better team chemistry... the fact that almost the entire independence squad is returning favors them greatly because the team chemistry will be better and im sure the previous year's players have improved... they could have been a great team last year if they could have gotten past hendersonville in the sections... i mean look at bearden's team last year... they were favored to do VERY well but ended up losing and not making it to the state tournament.. that does not mean they were not a good team.. just didnt perform in cruntch time... so again stop looking at a team's previous success and only look at this year's team....
  21. I'm just curious which players from around the state have already commited (verbally or signed)..... Name the player and the school if possible.
  22. I am talking about THIS YEAR'S TEAM.... it does not matter what a team does in that past but only what they bring to the table in the current season.... brentwood was undefeated and ranked number 1 in the nation last year but this year will struggle to make it to the final 4 if that.... so who cares if independence has not had an impressive past.... just look for them to do quite well this upcoming season
  23. I think you can say he is definitely ONE of the best in the state... he is without a doubt the heart and soul of his high school team and he will do very well at the next level... its just hard to say he is the best in the state with all of the other players out there playing at a higher high school level competition.... these kids playing at the AAA level have also played some of the best club teams as well...
  24. I am pretty sure that nick plays for a brentwood 92 club team but im not sure about the other two...
  25. Exum is a good player but come on.... you are talking him up alot here. He is obviously the leader of the station camp team but I dont think he would be as big if he played for a brentwood or a bearden...
