  1. TYPICAL SULLIVAN SOUTH REDNECK AND ALL AROUND JERK.
  2. South couldn't beat the Tribe if they played us 10 times a year. Our record against South speaks for itself, regardless of your rhetoric.
  3. I don't think this "VP" you speak of had as much power as you think. There would have been outrage in Kingsport beyond measure if Buck had been fired.
  4. I'm still not buying. I remember that era well and Buck was loved by this community. Enough to name the gym after him! Enough said.
  5. Man you're crazy. Nobody fires the winningest coach in the state and the one who would have been the winningest in the country if he had lived. I don't know what you're selling, but I"m not buying.
  6. Naaah, that's ok. You can look at it twice to cover us. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> My mouse malfunctioned. Cut me some slack Mo-Ron.
  7. Apology accepted Crawdad. Sorry about the malfunctioning mouse.
  8. No I mean War Hoop. Look at the DB Band website.
  9. For the record, Blountville is unincorporated and Bristol could certainly annex that community if they chose to.
  10. BTW, what is a WarHoop? Is it an earring or dress? I don't know if you have been to any DB home games or not. But the war hoop is a long time tradition to get the team and fans fired up before the game. The full band lines up in the East endzone and plays the War Hoop (traditional Indian song you hear played at Florida State games) while the team slowly walks toward the band. When the coach gives the signal it's like a jailbreak back to the 50 yardline where a mass of humanity rallies around the coaches in a mad frenzy. I think it gets me as fired up as the players.
  11. I think you're being way overdramatic Crawdad. DB is nowhere near the largest school in the state. We are not even the largest in Northeast TN. Both Science Hill and Jefferson County have more students than DB. John Campbell said recently that KPT is not interested in annexing Colonial Heights. It is now considered a mature community. The city is looking at growing through developing raw land with new subdivisions like the Edinburgh and the new one on Fall Creek Road. It's not their intention to try to close North or South. So lighten up. ROLL TRIBE!
  12. As a Dobyns Bennett supporter I can't tell you how excited I am about playing the Admirals. You have built a great program and tradition in the Knoxville area and this will be a good measuring stick to see where the Tribe is early in the season. Like you, we have as many questions as answers since we are graduating a plethora of seniors including our starting quarterback. With the new redistricting, I hope this can be the start of many great years of competition like we have enjoyed with Oak Ridge. Best of luck on your season. ROLL TRIBE!
  13. I don't think it is inevitable and I'll tell you why. In Tennessee sales tax is distributed back to where it was collected meaning Kpt gets the lion's share of tax dollars that are used primarily for city schools. So unless the state changes the way that's done, I don't see the citizens of Kpt ever supporting consolidation. They have too much pride in their school system. And all four municipalities in Sullivan county (Kpt, Bristol, Bluff City and Sullivan County) would have to approve it too. What are the odds of that?
