you say you saw jackson co. play one time and was not impressed. if you were not impressed with a 13 point win over pickett co. what does that say about pickett co.? of the 3 schools you say are better than jackson co. only van buren has played 2 common opponents. van buren and jackson both played monterey and hermitage springs. both teams blew monterey out by 40 or so, but jackson co. beat h.s. by 23 and van buren beat them by 12 or 13. i just can not see your reasoning behind the statement that they are better than us.

just do not see that. maybe i'm biased. unaka (3-10), harriman (4-5), van buren (6-4), none of these records come close to jackson co. (8-4). also, jackson co. has 3 of its 4 losses to AAA schools and the other to a AA school. no one in single A will play a tougher schedule.

westmoreland plays jackson co. on tues. night(27th) at 9:30. should be one heck of a game.

teams i know of: jackson co. clay co. hermitage springs smith co. east robertson macon co. not for sure about the rest. i think portland is also in. there is a meeting wed. morning about the tourney. teams will be seated based on their records after next tues.(12-13-05) hope they make the effort to keep district teams from competing against each other.

closer than most of our so called experts might have thought. tied at the half. clay win 83-76. lots of fouls called. york had 4 players foul out and one get hurt. a very entertaining game to listen to.

apparently you haven't paid much attention to the district tourney. York lost by 13 points to jackson co. Livingston is the best team in 7AA but they need to take one game at a time.

Celina won their last by 30+ points, jackson co. lost their last by 20 points. Doesn't that =Celina by 50+ points? Should be a preview of two of the best teams in 7A next season. muffin will tell us the winner

doesn't make any difference if you lose in january, late feb. and march is when it counts. This team has the talent and the coach if they play to thier potential.

Was a hard fought game tonight. Great job by both teams. Look forward to the rematch in Dekalb in 2 weeks.

would have to disagree with a couple of your picks. First of all Dekalb Co. should be above Clay Co. Also, think Upperman should be above Clay Co. and Smith Co. I think this makes more sense: 1. Cookeville 2. Pickett Co. 3. Livingston 4. White Co. 5. Dekalb Co. 6. Upperman 7. Smith Co. 8. Celina 9. York 10. all of the rest

refs were terrible, but jackson co. had 33 total fouls called against them. J.C. led the entire game and they didn't want to foul. So, I don't believe the loss can be blamed on the refs. Both teams played hard, should be some good games when J.C. joins the district next yr.

don't know where you get your info but jackson does not play livingston this friday, jackson co. does not play until the mid-south classic on sat. night. We play Coffee Co. Sat. at 4:30.

tonight's game between dekalb co. and jackson co. has been cancelled due to the weather.

First of all let me say i'm an outsider to Macon Co. However, I do know coach brown. He is one smart individual when it comes to running the style of offense he runs. Like has been stated before he just doesn't have the talent to compete in the second toughest district in AA in the state. For those of you who want to compare his wins and losses with the middle school, ask yourself if the middle school is playing the same teams? No, they are playing almost entirely single A schools and there is no comparison between the two. In closing, I don't care if you guys get Bobby Knight to be your coach. With the current talent pool and the district you play in you aren't going to be successful.

Game doesn't start until 8:30, but it will be late about 10 minutes. This game will be all Portland. Portland by at least 25.

The game reminded me of last game they played if you reversed the roll. Last time it was Jackson Co. who came back from double digit deficit. Now, Jackson Co. blows double digit lead. Great game to watch but could feel J.C. slipping th entire second half.
