  1. Who can we write to? Anyone have any email addresses?
  2. I think you meant "farce". /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> regardless, that is ridiculous. way to go Team TN for keeping it so close with the odds stacked so heavily against them
  3. What? This post was started to admonish the gross display of unsportsmanship perpetrated by a Soddy Daisy wrestler, not a Commando's one. Get off the thread and back to the hills, you don't know what you're talking about
  4. HE NEVER THREW UP DURING THE FINALS MATCH! as a neutral fan (being as I don't go red or blue, but purple=STATE CHAMPS) with an outstanding view, Hooker never thew up during the match. I'm not saying he wasn't sick, but I do understand where the Baylor fans were coming from. His "shoe trick" has become well know and discussed, and many of them probably saw his stopping time as another gimmick to catch his breath/get out of a compromising position. They never cheered when he ran over to the trainers; the noise was more of a growing cry exhorting him to get back on the mat and finish the match.
  5. Come on you Irish-hater...it could be argued that Father Ryan wasn't the best team (reading some of Coach Simpson's quotes, he was as surprised as everyone else), but they did what they could with what they had. Take for example, Obi, the heavyweight. Lord knows he was outweighed by 50-60 pounds on average every match, not to mention it his FIRST YEAR!! somehow Coach Simpson and crew took an incredibly raw individual and turned him into a state placer in very little time. The fact is, Father Ryan took advantage of every break they were given. Baylor just couldn't do the same
  6. Unfortunately, califlower ear is just one of those things that wrestlers have to deal with. White loosened his headgear to aleviate pressure, which is understandable, but the refs should have taken that into consideration. When it became evident that Ofori, who (as it has been noted in an earlier post) uses the "tap-and-go" technique, was getting tangled up in the headgear, the issue needed to be resolved.
  7. Incredible effort to keep everyone updated. Thanks
  8. Amen. As it has been noted on this post, the ref is something of a "perfectionist," i.e. he seems to make some calls that really have no bearing on the match (bradley08 nailed it: any touch of the headgear never put Ofori in an advantageous position) almost in the hopes of having a meeting with the coach at the table. JUST LET THEM WRESTLE!
  9. My apologies to all who were offended. Seems some friends of mine who were in town for the wrestling match imbibed a bit too much and thought it would be funny to post that filth. I have deleted the offending post (and changed my password). My apologies again.
  10. 1. I hope your children learn better grammar than you. You're=you ARE, your=possesive 2. The kid was malicious. Don't try to excuse that as immaturity. Teenagers know whats right and whats wrong, and there is clearly no place for what Gamble did on the wrestling mat. You can not possibly tell me that he "accidently" threw those elbows. Wrestling is a sport of gentlemen and that kid doesn't belong here. A sore loser and terrible sport.
  11. Jake Gamble. Kid should never be allowed to wrestle again
  12. Keep it on topic, please. Reffing was extremely subpar, wrestling was top notch...classic match. I'll have the full list of winners up in just a bit, overall another very exciting match between two bitter rivals.
