  1. My guess is Harriman will try to appeal the suspension......they have nothing to lose.......then go from there
  2. im very happpy to see tellico have success last year but, one of the huge reasons they did so much better was because dropping down to 1 or 2 a not for sure i know they had alot of tallent but if they were in the old district they would have beeen a 2 or 3 win team at best....... the district with central polk sweetwater meigs and sequoyah is by far a tougher district...... im glad to c tellico win some games but bottom line dropping down in classification helped last years record out tremendously ........... but i think telllico willl win 4 maybe 5 games this year Many teams benefited form the realignment.......Tellico was just 1 of them.......however Tellico did beat 3 of the 5 teams you named as the "far tougher district"....in fact district 5 2a finished 2-5 vs. the "far weaker" district 3 1a......... well yeah bottom line though tellico would not have even made the playoffs if they were in 5 aa so that does make it a tougher district We'll never know if Tellico would have made the playoffs in 5 aa or not because they didn't play McMinn Central........looking over common opponents tho i would of liked their chances
  3. Liking the backs this year, but not all 3 will dominate the county, Inman will as you know, Foster from Kingston will, probably Williams from Harriman will be the third. Also another good back from Kingston I think his name is Fielden or something. Hopefully that prediction is right, but with alot of players returning it looks to be a promising season for the Big Blue hopefully!! Harriman may well have the best group of backs......if Williams plays to his potential.........Rockwood is replacing all 3 backs we ended the season with last year.........Foster at Kingston is very good........Jordan Romero at OS rushed for 1100+ yards as a soph. last year and should have another big year this year
  4. I wish this game was in week 0 instead of week 1.....i'd love to see it

  6. That did kinda get beat to death last year, didn't it...lol....regardless......you got to admit those are some good match-ups for a jamboree
  7. ........I wouldn't think we would have a choice......tho i'm really clueless as to what the rule would be with it being a district game and all....Frankly.....i wouldn't want to do it
  8. Got our (Rockwood) summer schedule today......looks like we play ya'll in the Jamboree @ Harriman on Aug. (Friday the) 13th......geeeeez.....what a draw.....looking forward to seeing ya'll there
  9. Guess i misunderstood what you were saying......sorry....just remember....you can never beat Harriman often enough......or by too many points........
  10. Tellico is a great fit in the district.......but sorry.....Tellico will NEVER replace Rockwood as Harrimans main rival.....or vice-versa
  11. I think our confusion is your thinking geographically.......Sweetwater was in region 2 2-A with us.....Tellico was in region 3 3-A along with Grundy Co.......Polk Co.......Howard.....Meigs Co....Sequoyah.......McMinn Central.....East ridge......and Notre Dame I hope Tellico can keep up a level of competetiveness......even if we don't win it i like playing in a tough region/district
  12. Actually Tellico only played 3 of the 8......but after glancing over results of last season i don't think it unreasonable to believe Tellico wouldn't have done just as well...........don't know the history of Tellico......but a coaching merry-go-round is never good for any program....nice turn around
  13. +1 to rubble. The district matches up well for them. Can only wait and see. Since you mention it, how much of last years success would you say was because of the re-alignment?? Do you think Tellico would have done as well in your old region??
  14. Geeeeez.......and i thought Rockwood wasn't gettin' any love......anyway......good luck to the Rams tonight.....district 3 has a lot on the line tonight.....we will do our best to hold up our end.....GO DISTRICT 3!!!
  15. The time for talking is (almost) over.....I like Rockwoods chances........both are great teams with Boyd having a slight edge in stats vs teams with winning records.....factor in SOS and it's pretty much even.....factor in i'm a homer and Rockwood wins going away.........good luck to Boyd tonight.....just not too much......here's to a tough, injury free game.........GO TIGERS!!!
  16. Here we go again.....is there a smiley for a yawn??........(place team name here) is to big for Rockwood....(place team name here) is to fast for Rockwood.....(place team name here) defense will shut Rockwood out.....we've heard it for weeks .......now a Boyd fan questions our schedule that's rated 19 spots AHEAD (caps for emphasis) of Boyd's......gotta admit that's new.....get ready to toss the coin and line up....the scoreboard will talk in the end.........GO TIGERS!!!!
  17. Deardorff got hurt 2 days before the Grace game......at the time he was also leading the team in receptions and was tied with Ian Walls for the lead in tackles.....and Rockwood has gone 7-1 without him....that says a lot about the balance and depth of this team
  18. For the last several years.....we've been in the same region as Loudon.....they have a cannon also......we're used to it.....hopefully we won't hear it Friday night
  19. First off....congratulations to Hampton for the big win last night....I was hoping Tellico would pull off the win but i guess Hampton had other ideas........dread that drive........second.....please ignore those other Tiger fans (the one's not from Rockwood)....i doubt any Rockwood fans think this will be a blowout either way
  20. I would expect nothing less from either program...thank you and congratulations to the Tribe on another fine season.....I expect a rematch next year
  21. Good luck Rams......tho your not really gonna need it.....is this game going to be on your website??
  22. Good luck to my friends in Harriman tonight
  23. Nothing against Hampton....but i like Tellico's chances in this one.........good luck Bears........hope to see ya'll next week
  24. Thanks TigersFan for the District 3 well wishes. You can see by my posts that I feel that District 3 is one of the toughest Districts in the state to win, and that's with Greenback and Midway being down this year, its going to be really tough in years to come. As for the "recruiting" topic. I've said it before and will say it again, every "public" school has a set geographic area that if a kid lives in that area, they are required to go to a certain school. That is not the case with GCA. We don't have an area to pull from, no one is required to go to GCA. We have to rely on folks that want their children to attend a Christian school and achieve a better education in order to even have a school. We, as parents, have to make sacrifices in order for our children to attend GCA, and we do. As for our team, I can't say "all" of them have been there for years, but I can say I've seen most of them grow up in GCA. Unless we were recruiting 3rd graders, YEARS ago, I'm not sure what the accusations are about. We graduated 34 kids (in the entire high school) last year, let's play football. I'll not question the educational opportunities at GCA......I have 2 nephews there and as i understand it's top notch....the rest we can discuss later......right now we have football games to prepare to cheer for.....best of luck to ya's
