Walker Valley takes down Soddy in what looks like one heckuva game! Central and East Ham showdown tonight for AA,,,,

Silverdale v Grace play tonight as does East Ham v East Ridge...Central has Tyner.

Ooltewah has been getting hammered from what I can tell. Meigs was soundly beaten by East Ham in the first elimination game as well as getting beat up by Grace in pool play.

Still not a lot of clarity as any team looks beatable on a given day...Have not seen any Walker Valley scores as of late so I would still see Baylor, Soddy, WV, CSAS and Bledsoe as a no particular order top 5 right now. GPS looks like they have a decent shot now as Baylor does not have a dominant pitcher so that should be an interesting series...Soddy and WV look like the best AAA teams, Bledsoe and maybe Central in AA with East Ham and Meigs in the background and then CSAS in A...Grace does not appear to have found itself yet and there does not seem to be any other local contenders in A.

Baylor has played very well other than CSAS...I think they are still top 5 and will beat GPS again this year for their state grouping.

Liana Rodrigues is really twirling it right now...shut out Baylor and came in and struck out 8 in a row with a tied game yesterday. When she is on...she is as tough as there is. I agree, Indian...they (CSAS) have some good ball players and another very capable senior pitcher.

I hope you are not one of the edumacators at one of these schools...

What's nice is the polls play no role in who goes to the 'Boro unlike some of the NCAA craziness....just some hype to get people to join another organization...

Chatt Grace lost four seniors...some excellent ballplayers. Their pitcher returns for her senior season and I am sure they have some younguns coming up so they should still be at the top of their district....hard to say if they will go any further.

These things are somewhat interesting in what they choose to leave in and leave out. For instance....The Grace Chatt pitcher who did what the previous pitcher could not do though the previous was supremely talented was left off. Meanwhile the pitcher who was defeated 5 or so times by Grace made the list...or for instance, the Central pitcher who made the list despite not getting out of her own region. Willard is another supreme talent who will probably have success in college but the fact remains she lost to two teams deemed inferior, one significantly so. Is it talent or accomplishment? I would think that an equal level of both should be considered. But it is nearly criminal to leave the Grace pitcher off the list after the five year travails of Grace in A ball. One wonders how the compilers of these lists actually think.

Is Cartwright different than Nunley or Willard whom they have seen a combined 5 times? East Ham has a puncher's chance in this. They have put up runs on every one except Nunley...They have beaten Baylor, Central and Mt Juliet...but have been blown out by Soddy, Baylor and Central also...I will give the edge to Goodpasture sight unseen because I am guessing they have more discipline. The Hurricanes have had very few error free games. But if they are capable of hitting her ( and 4 of them have seen her in TB) then it will be interesting. Don't write off Upperman...they have gotten hot at the right time...

It was a heckuva game....Any word on the girl who got hurt? Silverdale and East Ridge play later today...So far Soddy, East Ham, Grace, GPS and Baylor headed to the 'Boro...hopefully we can add two more today!

This is a sad thread...Why can't everyone just congratulate the young lady on a tremendous accomplishment and move on...

East Ridge does it again...Went to Decatur and sent Meigs County packing...will square off against East Hamilton again tonight...Not sure I would want to be playing these ladies right now. Anyone get a Bledsoe Upperman Score?

Apparently East Rdge has beaten Central so Central is done for the year.

East Ham pulled off the upset last night...beat Central 5-4...Central plays losers bracket final against East Ridge this afternoon then will likely rematch tonight.

AAA Soddy...Ooltewah, Rhea and Walker will battle for the other spot tho I will stick with tradition and the Owls. AA Central....East Hamilton should take second...a perfect set of circumstances could get them the crown but based on what I have seen Central will ease through it. Hixson is a darkhorse here...the Soddy transfer is a pretty good pitcher. Meigs and Polk in D 5....Both Central and East Ham could get by these two and see each other again in Region Finals... Bledsoe and Sequatchie....going to go with the Indians on this though it could go either way... You could end up with a Central vs Sequatchie/Bledsoe and East Ham vs the other to go to the Boro...blatantly disregarding whatever is in D8... A Grace...Think Grace has enough to pull it off but I do not think they will go as far this year as they have in the past. CSAS as runner up. Silverdale is a dark horse but they don't seem to have it this year. Marion Co...is there anyone else in district 6 that can hang with them? Don't know who would be runner up. Whitwell, I suppose... DII As I said early on...going to be tough to beat Baylor especially 2 out of 3.

I agree...I thought with their pitcher they would be in good shape. Not sure what is going on there without having seen them play. East Ham got hammered by Central again... Still surprised by the Rhea WV score...
