i think it is gonna come down to mcminn and gibson for the state championship with the lady pioneers winnin it all. either way i'm ready for a wild ride(hopefully)

i am really lookin forward to makin the trip to the borro. hopefully our girls will come ready tto play a make deep run in thet tourney.

can you give us some info on your players, it seems like not many of us gc fans know much about them

i completely agree.. the best team is going to win it no matter who they play but with the blind draw it matches up different teams in a fair ways. they only thing it could cost you is the silver ball

i agree, its hard not to use it as a comparison when there is that much of a difference but then again match=ups could be a factor. i will say that gc is playin much better ball now than they were early in the year when most of these games were played

they are a very good team that probably hasn't been playing their best ball lately. they have a really great scorer in rechis and two other very good role players in swaim and oulds. they have other players that step up from time to time but these three are pretty consistent. btw, rechis hit the 2000 point mark this year and she is only a junior!

there are a few common oponents between these teams... boliver beat ripley 73-39 haywood 59-52 and 59-48 chester county 64-40 and 64-53 conington 59-56 gibson county beat ripley74-26 and 70-26 haywood 69-41 and 60-33 chester county 68-18 covington 70-37 looking at these it looks as though gc would have the edge but thats why they play the game

exactly right, you cant afford to overlook a team once you get to the boro

it definately would be but if the two teams you stated were to make it then one would be doing that for sure. that would be an awesome finals for sure with two teams with undefeated records

i dont no much about bolivar either but anybody that makes it this far can play. hopefully the lady p's will come and get the job done. being there last year as a young team should really be to our advantage.

lol i guess your right but if you have been watching the pioneers play lately you would have definately noticed that the shots were not falling tonight like they normally. i believe it was about halfway through the first quarter before we scored. their press created ALOT of easy buckets for them to get it going

well it wasn't the prettiest win we've had but the girls faught through the off shooting night with their defense and crused the big win. now lets go to the boro and show them what we are about.

im not sure how accurate it is but there are only three teams(la, upperman, and south greene that have tougher schedule than gc(21) on the coacht site. that hardly resembles an easy road to a record of 31-0. just sayin...

i've said this in a previous post but i believe the best part of gibson county is the defense they play. they held a good westview team to 35 points.

lets just hope that gibson(assuming they beat btw but who knows the way things are going) and mcminn/upperman doesn't get paired up in the quarterfinals as it alwas seems to happen to gibson county

gibson county once again made it look easy. they seem to be out to make a point and with all of the other teams having trouble i would say they are getting the job done. they are only gonna get tougher but if they keep playing like this they will be tough to beat

i know nothing about mcminn central but yaw are saying that they are a very unsellfish team. this is also the case with gibson county, they have butler, who is an outstanding player and can really fill it up, but she also a great point guard that gets into the lane and set her post players up for easy finishes. they also have other role players that on any given night can put up 14 or 15 points and reedy is capable of a 25 10 rebound game every night as she did in the district championship. this is a team who made it to state last year and they are going to want a much better showing if they make it back.

your right, they have amny players that can really hurt you. tonight griffin and reedy didn't have strong games on offense but their were others there to pick up the slack. i believe the strongest part of this team is the defense though. they can really force a team to play out of control and force turnovers.

westview better step up their game, they are very capable of beating gibson county but they will have to bring their "a" game. i just don't see it happening. Gibson County looks ready to make a trip to the state tourney once again.

better be watching out for gibson county. they dominated a good obion county team to the score of 74-41 tonight. they will now play westview, whom they beat handily in the district championship. they look to be peaking at the right time

i'm not real familiar with the northside team but what i have seen from the other teams from that district ive not been very impresed. Westview seems to have lost some spark since being defeated handily by gibson county but you never know wha tmight happen. I'm going with westview by 10 In the second game it should not be very close at all. the lady p's will go out and run away early and fussell will not have enough to keep the rebels in it. GCo by 18

it is really supricing that westview and obion struggled as much as they did. i dont know anything about fayetteware but gibson county really had no trouble at all with haywood and obion only won by three? they better bring their a game saturday night because the lady p's are playing determined basketball right now.

this is definately gibson county's tournament to lose. they have been playing really well lately and just proved that by the way the handled westview in the district championship. i really don see obion county giving them much trouble in a win or go home game because fussell can't beat gibson county or normally gets a good team effort
