Is this one your talking about...#27? I watched Lewis in a scrimmage with Columbia Central last year, if this is the kid......WOW!!!!!!!! Good add! Not sure he can win the game alone, but he is the real deal! Hope he doesn't have any injury and plays like he did! Don't agree with the decision or the risk, but if he does play big gain for Lewis. I can see a close game here, only edge (s) for Lewis is this addition and Home field with a chance at the playoff. Good luck panthers!

Now thats funny! After all the years of running an offense like Texas Tech they just might throw in a run or two......just for a change of pace!

There D is ...well.......just really bad. But last year thats about all they had to hang their hats on. Thats the only reason it was a closer game that everyone expected. The O.....is...well...look back at films 20 year ago......and nothing has changed. I do have to say they have thrown it more this year than in the past. Giles should handle this one if they don't overlook them....it shouldn't be competitive. Also Lewis has lost a couple of players on O from last year which don't help the cause.

Posted on the 3A......guess this is the board now. LCHS in a close one. LC be sure WC leaves their "Magic Whistle" home, seen the film from last years.....plain awful call. This should be a good game. LC defense isn't as good last year, but their offense seems to be coming around, that being said.....Wayne counties offense isn't as good as last year......so .......LC in a close one. Either way........should be a good game.

Really thought last year was the beginning for East....but it appears that it wasn't. Looking down at their remaining games......hard to find a win out there. Good luck to East anyway, but just don't see it.

Should be a good game. Hope for Lewis that Wayne leaves the "Magic Whistle" at home this year. Both teams are solid, has the makings of a classic. Give a nudge to Lewis..Home Field. Going to be a hard hitting one.

This one is going to be really bad......Springhill coming off a loss, East has no direction. Really depends how far Springhill coaches want to take it. This is an experience game for Springhill......Chance for a lot of young players to get playing time--Early.

Lewis by as much as they want. With this district down so much.....an avg. team can dominate.

Looks like PC is for real, and Loretto is ......well Loretto. Only thing that has changed here is PC is really a good team, beating Loretto isn't anything special by alot of teams, but How PC did is a sign PC is going to be a tough game for whoever has them on their schedule. Congrads To PC.......a team to watch for sure!

This district has to be the craziest one around. Hard to figure any of these teams. Looks like now it would Be Giles the front runner followed by Fairview, Lewis, springhill, marshall,page, Hickman and East. My biggest shocker is Page. Thought this would be their year to make a stond. Don't know whats happening there but really a surprise. Giles appears to be hitting right now. Lewis.....hard to tell, beings page is down so much what kind of team they are yet. Not to much of a test for alot of these teams playing against each other. Can't see any state championship runs out of this district.

Who would have thought they both would be coming in this way. Page home field.....Lewis took to big whippings..no defense. If LCHS can find some offense to keep up with page......could be a game, but based on what I have read........Page should take this one.

Not as much chatter on here like I thought there would be. Must be no one is sure what they got and waiting till after the game. Is the young that was charged with Agg. Assault playing. With the loss of the big FB, Lewis can't afford any others.......he was the backbone. Still think Lewis will pull this one out.....based on Home field advantage. If they don't win this one...........could be a long season. Hope Lewis wants it bad...attitude is what will win this one.

Haven't heard much from Lewis. How is the pre-season going? Whats the numbers that are out this year? Should have a deceit year.

Lewis board is sure quiet. What's going on over there. Going to be a good year for Lewis. Lets hear whats going on.........where are all the stats people? Any new players stepping up to fill in from last year? I know you had a couple of key players lost last year, but a lot of young kids got some big time experience.....should really pay off this year.

I agree with Stat.......I would guess 2 lost......Page (which will be the cream of the district this year from what it looks like) Marshall had a lot of young talent, which will only improve. Giles has to Rebuild/reload. Springhill under achieved last year for having so many seniors. If Lewis can fix the problem at QB and Safety they'll be in the hunt.

Page and Lewis should be the front runners. Don't know how many starters Hickman will return, Fairview lost some key starters. Giles loses a lot, but the do have talent..some lack experience but the talent is there. Page pretty much intact...a few holes here and there, otherwise solid. Marshall.....tough guess. Spinghill has to rebuild losing so many seniors. Page and Lewis the only 2 teams that put up any fight against Giles. Lewis loses a couple of key players that will be tough to fill, but they are deep in talent coming up. The DE, DT and Corner will be the hardest areas hit. Big shoes to fill with 21,22 and 25 gone. Should be a competitive District next year with a few surprises along the way. Good Luck to all!

"The best team did not win"? What game was you watching. I can't believe someone would even say anything like it. What exactly did the announcers say and what announcers said it. It wasn't the ones calling the game on 30. Your one man show is off base also. Someone has to catch , people have to block to be able to make the pass.......Its called team.....and the best team did win it. Can't believe you would try make the win look like Giles didn't have a thing to do with it. Two entered the night and only one can win.......same in all 5 other games played Friday and Saturday.. It was a great game between two teams that worked their tales off since the summer.....and Giles came out the winner. You show so little class with your comments. Giles is the 4A Champions.....PERIOD! Great season and great win for the entire community and fans. Don't let any comments like this carry any weight.......It is sour grapes , trying to take away what they accomplished by making it appear they didn't do anything to win. Congrads. To all involved in Giles county Football......great season...one that will be remembered for a very long time.

Not much to add. I got to see them play a few times and all I seen was 100 percent effort, never quit attitude. Tough bunch of young men. Stood up to all the heat given by so many and just kept playing hard. Great example of a team. Good luck to all of you. Set the class bar very high for others that follow. Hope more people post for you guys......you deserve all the credit for the amount of work an effort you put out this season. P.S. I remember reading that the coach said you were a 2-8 team after one preseason (which I got to see against Lexington, appears Lexington was a pretty good team) also said you were the worst team he ever had......but.....you were in the playoffs just like all the others and did about the same......maybe coach needs to look in the mirror and reflect that sometimes the problem isn't the players........Just a thought.

Give me a break on the schedule, 3-1A schools like i said before Schedule up not down and maybe in the 1st round you want go down. I'll take 6-4 and win state title rather than 10-0 and 1 and done They played the likes of Spring Hill, Giles Co., Page and Marshall. For a team like Lewis, they have a lot of history with those smaller schools, which results in large gates for both schools. Anyone with some knowledge of the importance of gate money for small programs would understand why they schedule these games. Terminator....what is your problem with Lewis Co. seems like you have a bad taste in your mouth? Gerry there are always a few of them. At least this year they can't say they played a soft schedule. Good experienced gained out it for next year. Hated it for the Seniors but they did battle the whole season, even when a lot gave up on them early.

Hated to hear Lewis lost, especially for the seniors. I seen the stats on this...first half looked like Lewis was in it....out gained Camden. Question is what happened the second half? Lewis we be back next year for a few reasons. 1. They took on the best alot of teams had this year (Giles, Wayne, Springhill etc) They will have to rebuild some next year. 2. The experience the young players got this year will pay off big next year. 3. The coaches I'm sure learned alot this year. 4. The young players seen the seniors play all out every game even though they they weren't winning games they never quit. I think Lewis will be No worse than 7-3.....and my guess next year they most likely be 9-1. They got alot of depth coming up, and this year alot of experience for the younger players. Their entire backfield will be intact and you have alot of talent coming up.....and size. Good luck to Lewis in the future. Stat I know they appreciated all the support you guys gave and the fans that hung in there when things were bad.....I Salute you all........... Our boys pulled it out Friday so still have an interest going for the playoffs. Congrads To Camden and good luck on your run.

Didn't know Lewis played last night, was surprised to see. I guess the weather changed alot of games. Way to go Lewis, I'll have to make a call to find out what happened. Now your in the playoffs, get to start a whole new season now. Hope you get a deceit draw at least for the first round. You have gotten plently of experience this year playing the bigger schools. Good luck next week and congradulations on making the playoffs, how many seasons in a roll has Lewis been in the playoffs now? I know some will have comments about you being in...but remember this, you played the schedule and made it, in other words you EARNED it. GOOD LUCK!

Well now, if Lewis has struggled in the playoffs playing playoff teams, then this season should have been expected........8 playoff teams. The loss last week falls on the head of the HC period. Very poor call!
