  1. I agree Arsenal. In my opinion, no team can make it to state unless you have a fairly good team. At state, you either are at your peak as Farragut was and you take home a championship(Congratulations to them) or you play at a level less than you are capable of and you go home early. A lot of things come into play such as injuries of key players which I know for a fact Cleveland had. It appears that everyone enjoys Cleveland bashing so if makes them happy, go for it. At least they are leaving some other team alone while they are doing it. Remember, what goes around comes around. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. I agree all teams have fans that make inappropriate remarks about the other team and I disagree with them doing that, however, before extrapolating that to ALL CLEVELAND FANS make sure you haven't made any disparaging remarks yourself, such as "internationals on kingsbury defintely lived up to the flopping and taking an hour to get up..." The Kingsbury team deserved much better than that comment. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  3. My only comment is that you cannot make a determination on one single still image. Was the ball knocked loose or was the keeper charging the striker. NO ONE can tell from that picture. I would suspect if it were the latter that a straight red would have been issued to the keeper which it was not. You are however free to interpret a single image as you would like, RockyTop. Enjoy yourself! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  4. I believe that was the second foul where the keeper was run into after he had control of the ball and the ball had been knocked from his grasp. Both players were carded, the keeper for retaliation. One picture however cannot make anyone sure of what transpired. You had to be there. The comment stands.
  5. If you're not trying to be offensive, you are not doing very well especially when you go as far as demeaning 'internationals on kingsbury" and criticizing the Cleveland coaches when obviously you don't even have a clue as to who said what by your own comments. Also, by the way, this is not Cleveland's first time to state as you stated by your veiled comments/insults. Having said all that to respond to your "perspectives" , there should be some good soccer coming up tomorrow night.
  6. To say:? "keeper came out and took kid out on a breakaway" is also an opinion! If you just want to know what happened----->Ref said keeper fouled kid. Does that statement satisfy you better? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. RockyTop, your assessment of the foul is inaccurate. Cleveland's keeper came out and got ball. The Kingsbury player ran into him. It should have been a no call but instead a very marginal official gave Kingsbury a PK which they converted.
  8. Shuster23, the field condition was bad for both teams and if you think Cleveland played their best soccer you are wrong. I was impressed with the class that your team, coach, and fans demonstrated. Don't ruin it now because someone not even associated with Cleveland High School make some not so nice comments about your team. I can assure you the Raiders have nothing but respect for Riverdale High School. In regard to Cleveland's keeper he is a great GK and I will put him up against anyone else in the state. If you only have to make 2 out of 3 saves to win that does not make you a "terrible" keeper. Think about it. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  9. Cleveland 2 Riverdale 1
  10. If you feel it is a dumb topic, why are you reading it. There are plenty of post regarding BHS that I'm sure someone with your intellect would enjoy more! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  11. MVM I read your post and I agree 100%. Statements like above that have no substance are just "Hotair" /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. Well, Coolbreeze, I take it you think your team is going to win state so why don't you enlighten us to who that will be. You seem to have all the answers or do you just make claims without any facts to back them up. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  13. After reading your posts earlier today it is quite apparent that you are just taking another inappropriate shot at Cleveland and their accomplishments. Someday, when you grow up you will not need to make such juvenile statements to feel important. You really reflect poorly on a great program and tradition at BHS.
  14. A foul in the box is a foul in the box and the ref had a better view of it then anyone in the stands. The foul occurred before regulation time had expired and therefore it constitutes the call of PK even if there is no time left on the clock when the ref completes the PK. How about a little cheese with that "whine" of yours? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. Have we got a stuttering problem here or just nothing to support a statement? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  16. Cleveland 3 OR 1 Cleveland 3 Indy 0 Cleveland 3 Science Hill 0 Cleveland 1 CBHS 1 Cleveland 4 Bearden 4 Cleveland Record 14-0-3
  17. True Score: Cleveland 4 Bearden 4. Cleveland played the entire second half with 2 starters out secondary to first half injuries(GK and Sweeper). Cleveland was flat first half and Bearden controlled the pitch. Second half was a different story. Very physical contest with numerous yellow cards.
  18. Prayers from Cleveland.
  19. Cleveland didn't "lose" and since you are known as "owlfutbol" I suspect you were watching Ooltawah and not in McMinn county to witness it for yourself. There is a difference between "whining" and the facts being stated. Once again, taking nothing from McMinn County, they played a great, hard fought match, but facts are facts regarding the officiating.
  20. --It was not offsides because the forward never touched the ball until it had already been touched by one of your defenders. (Check the video) --There actually was a McMinn comment at 8:48 AM by IAAK regarding the lack of PK calls and by the way, we were taken out in the box a couple of times also which were not called. --In regard to "wait till my whistle" that was never said and it was obvious that the official in question had never heard of a quick restart. The bottom line is great match with less than optimal officiating.
  21. Hard fought match. Small, wet field. Two GOOD Cleveland goals disallowed by not so good ref.
