  1. nothing driving me up the wall, just stating the facts.
  2. highly doubt that next year will be much different, all district teams were very young this year also, coffee county was probably the most experienced team this year and could only finish 3rd, which was the same as last year. You can beat all the weak teams u want but if you cant win against the big dogs , your never gonna get out of the region.
  3. agree, most of coffee county's wins came against below 500 teams.
  4. coffee county loses to mcminn co. 47 - 42 in first round of region, as does the rest of their district.
  5. Coffee Co. loses to Franklin Co. tonite 50 - 33.
  6. Good win, but shelbyville is not the team of old by no means, lets not get too excited yet. Lincoln county will be a more accurate test. Good luck to the girls.
  7. Ur right , he cant do it for them , but it is his responsibility to teach in such a manner , so that the kids can understand his style and what he wants to accomplish, if he cant communicate that to the players , then he is not a head coach. have u really watched practice any for the last 2 years?
  8. I wish the freshman young ladies and other young ladies nothing but the best, but being 19 - 0 in freshman basketball is a not the same as varsity basketball, not taking anything away from the freshman young ladies accomplishments, but you have got to be real. As for being in the region for the first time in a few years, lets not forget that coffee county changed districts this year , going from a far better district with 8 teams to a weaker one with 5, making it a lot easier to qualify for the region tournament being that you only have to finish next to last to qualify. Same thing in football, remember coffee county finished 3 - 7 and was in the playoffs. In my opinion coffee county needs to start looking at the facts and start realizing that just because u qualify for the playoffs or region does not mean u have a winning program or that u are making progress, maybe it just simply means that things have gotten a little bit easier. As for keeping coaches around for a while to see what they can do, im all for it, but lets remember some of u folks are the same ones that wouldnt get behind the whole program and support the last coach that was here if i remember correctly. If you are refering to me you know who I am and support every coach including golf. LOL. I guess I'm a homer unlike you who I guess is a wanna be coach. I've been a part of the Coffee Co. program for 18 years in some way and want us to win in every sport but it's hard unless we leave the coaching to coaches. Maybe that's why we have a big turnover in basketball (girls) and football. We leave other coaches alone and they win. Dont know who u are, and only u know whether im refering to u or not, (past posts). Have been part of the program for longer than 18 years in some form or fashion, and have been a coach, just not at coffee county central high school. Part of the problem may be that in basketball and football the head coach has to be a school employee or maybe not, who knows, but one thing is certain and that is he has not won, 17 -40 over 2 seasons. From my viewing of games he hasnt even been able to get anybody to set or come off of a pick correctly since he has been here, such a very important part of any offense and one of the easiest to teach.

  10. I think he may be packing his bags. Maybe muckle will apply, the record at coffee county over 2 seasons is 17 - 40, scroggins was better than that.
  11. Will coach muckle be back next season ?
  12. For one thing, coffee county is now playing in a much weaker district than before and i dont understand the rebuilding process crimson100 is talking about, its kind of hard to "rebuild" in high school, you get what you get as far as players and also there were about 10 girls that quit when muckle arrived, that has alot to do with them being young. Also, one would think that after 29 or 30 years of coaching he would have figured out how to be more positive and not yell so much.
  13. can not remember the record the previous 2 years before he got there, but it was at least 500.
  14. Coffee County's Emily Morgan is averaging 13 a game, and in the last four games has had 20,30,28, and 19.
  15. With all due respect, there is a difference between intensity and arrogance. While he may know the game of basketball, that doesn't mean he can translate the information in a way to the players so they can understand it without being made to feel like idiots and like everything they ever learned about basketball in elementary and middle school is irrelevant and wrong . As for the 4 wins in a row, my opinion is that the young ladies finally quit listening (or have at least learned to tune out) the continuous screaming and shouting which destroyed their confidence and have regained their confidence from someone else. His record at CC so far is (15 -36).
  16. "Coffee might be better than you might think. One year of learning the system likely all that this experienced coach might need." With all that experience you would think that coach would know to check the TSSAA calendar to find out when practice starts (Oct 26) and would also know the definitions of practice and open gym.
  17. I see the point you are trying to make now. Hard to see where you were going when you're attacking "the individual". Judge not, lest ye be judged. There are always two sides to a coin - seems your opinion is only coming from the side you see. If you want your opinion to be useful to those choosing a new Tullahoma coach just say what you mean - don't bash ppl as if you know some inside scoop or were in the gym watching practice and being all involved. Good luck with the search for a new coach.
  18. As far as I know, CC hasn't gotten out of the regional 1st of 2nd round since the championship team of 93', so how could you say he brought them down hill ? Are you a former player or something ?
  19. After the season CC had with their new coach, they're probably wishing Scroggins was still there.
