im not sure but i think i heard someone in the stands talking about the catcher saying he was a young kid and doesn't catch much. also, hixson's starting catcher was suspended for one game for having to miss practice one day last week. i feel bad for that ump because he took some shots but im sure the catcher did all he could and it was a good game

1st game for both teams and should be a pretty even match up... any thoughts? oh yea! its a district game

Hixson has a strong senior led team this year and good underclassmen to back em up..... A lot of great players on this team and will definately be a force to be reckoned with!! cant wait to see em in action

WOW. I just wanna start by saying that you are making the ooltewah program look bad right now. You are representing them on this message board and you are completely bashing the ex hixson coach. What kinda person does that???? To be honest I think there is some bad blood between the two of you, I have no idea what it could possibly be, but all this seems a bit unneccessary to me. Coach Tate was a great coach and a very well respected woman around here (besides wilson of course) even when she was losing. She did what she could with what she had and she didn't have much thats for sure. Anyways Hixson has a strong senior led team this year and i don't wanna jinx em but look 4 them to make some noise around town this year. Coach Bray has em workin hard!!!

In yesterday's paper i read that 3 three UTC wrestlers were suspended from the socon tournament, i believe it said for violation of team rules.... What i can't figure out is what these 3 great wrestlers and good kids couldv'e done? Anybody got the scoop?

1st of all the state tournament is full of lucky breaks and the hixson kid wasn't the only one who got some. don't take anything away from this kid because he wrestled with heart and earned that spot in the finals. had a chance to win it but his lucky breaks ran out in the 3rd period when he got hit with a questionable stalling call. ANYWAYS the hixson kid was up by atleast 2 with maybe 20 seconds remaining in the match against the collierville kid. congrats on a silver medal.

I was extremely upset that i didn't get to see this game because i've waited 3 years for it!!!! I want to congratulate the lady wildcats and give a big shout out to Tiara Willingham. She's the backbone of that team and she played a big part in that game. Congratulations!

Hixson has had good bands in the recent past but this year they were terrible..... bottom line haha check out brainerd

Congratulations to Coach Hall on his 100th win. As hard as he's worked and as much time he has put into the program, it doesn't surprise me one bit that he reached 100 wins this quick. Also, he has had some great help over the years: Roger Vandergriff, Daniel Palmer, and Jackie Blosser to name a few and i'm sure he is very thankful for those guys' help. CONGRATS to Coach Hall and the hixson wrestling team for tying the national record.

Dude get real.....Ooltewah is very young,Soddy is overrated this year(right now),Hixson won the match fair and square,but its not like Hixson beat a Ooltewah team of the past few years.Owls have 4 s Seniors...Good luck the rest of the way,but calm down,it's not like you beat baylor or bradley....[/quo Maybe you should give Hixson a little credit. Obviously Ooltewah doesn't have a team like its had in the past but neither does Hixson. Like blosser said, Hixson only has 3 senior starters. It came down to the very last match so you know it was a dogfight. And you're right, Hixson hasn't beat Bradley or Baylor and neither have Soddy and Ooltewah but by beating those two i would say Hixson has a much better chance in a dual meet. Also Hixson has Bradley soon so we'll see how far they have come in a year..... Let me remind you, Hixson is A/AA........ Enrollment - under 700

WOW whata match!!! Man both teams fought hard and hixson came out on top.... couldn't be more proud of the wildcats. As for soddy i know they have a few holes but it won't stay like that for long. GREAT match at 160 with 2 top ranked wrestlers. Can't wait to see these 2 battle it out again! Congrats to hixson and coach hall

ok ive seen red bank play in person and i am very impressed. they aren't much of a 1st half team but they definately make up for it in the 2nd half. their running game is probably the best in the state.... i mean if you're 3 0r 4 0r 5 deep at runningback and all of them have talent you must be sittin pretty. their passing game is also very good when it has to be. they have great receivers and a quarterback that can get them the ball. ive seen greenville play on film and im also impressed with their team BUT i just don't think their athletes match up with red bank's. its gunna be hard for greenville to hang with red bank all 4 quarters especially since red bank has so much depth. red bank 31 greenville 21

chattanooga football is pretty weak? haha who are you? do you guys really play any quality football teams? i hope tonight is a wake up call for yall because if brainerd doesn't mop the floor with you guys, red bank will.... thats a fact

hate to tell ya blustar but greeneville will blow brainerd out of the water...they barely beat a team that the devils destroyed 45-0. And they beat Central by another huge margin. Get ready to see greeneville in round three and get ready for the lions first loss of the season!!! Devils ousted Sullivan South last year in round 3 and they were undefeated also. Get ready cause these Devils are!!! blow brainerd outta the water? haha have u ever seen brainerd play?????? and to say greenville will beat an undefeated red bank team who is on a tear is just ridiculous.... first of all you are gettin a little ahead of yourself by sayin greenville will beat red bank in round 3 and 2nd of all, u have brainerd to worry about so if i were u i would be preparing myself for a tough game....

So Claiborne does not play fudamentally sound football....and they don't have a ton of athletes like Brainerd....how do you think they won 8 games this year, forfeits????. how did they win 8 games? haha who do they play?

well i have seen red bank play 3 games this season and a couple on film. red bank is 10-0 so i say until a team "stops" them.... they are unstoppable. now, all year red bank hasnt really come out in the 1st quarter and put up a lot of points but their numbers in the 2nd half are fantastic. if everyone stays healthy, red bank should have smooth sailing all the way to the championship game.

best coaching staff in the nation? ehhh up for debate.... red bank winning this game by atleast 3 touchdowns? ha! do you really have to ask... red bank is unstoppable.

east ridge DEFINATELY got the short end of the stick. two 7-3 teams playing in the 1st round after finishing the regular season strong should make for a great game. now even though east ridge came on strong toward the end of the season and had a couple big wins i still dont see them beating fulton. fulton just has better competition in their area. either way it will still make a good game.

i recently watched claiborne on film and if they plan on beating brainerd in the 1st round they better start playing some fundamentally sound football. brainerd has the best linebacker core in chattanooga and defend the run very well. they also have a ton of athletes on offense including QB anthony broom, RB darius chaulk, two 6'4 receivers, and ATH jackie reeves. i would be very surprised if brainerd didnt come home with a W

chatt central has come a long way from last year and despite their record they are a good football team. i have seen a little bit of greeneville film but i just dont know if they can match up with the speed in central's backs or power in their o line.... should be a good 1st round play off game
