you are exactly right about that. Those boys have a lot of size and speed that's why they are playing at that level. Toughness only carries you so far when it comes to getting recruited by Big time schools.

I agree South Pittsburg turns out a lot of good football players that can play at the next level. I believe if the Seals kid from Grundy had more height he could've played some major college ball. He was hands down one of the best linebackers to come through Grundy County

Grundy County's Skyler Seals also signed to play with Maryville in 08. I think he ended up playing tailback up there even though he was a standout linebacker and fullback for the yellow jackets

I would have to say the best I've seen was running back Eric Westmoreland from Marion County in the early to mid 90's. He went on and accepted a full ride to UT as an outside linebacker where he was the co-captain of the 98 national championship team. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars and finally ended his career with the Cleveland Browns.

a truly tragic incident, prayers will be lifted up for this young man's family and everyone associated with him. Being from Grundy I know that the team and community will make it through this horrible incident. Just like they did when Coach Pickett passed away two years ago. The people of Grundy County are strong and tough people, you all will get through this just as you have before.

"up in Grundy County? Last time I looked, Grundy was "Down" towards Chattanooga! Also, I don't think anyone thinks of OZ being in north east tenn, and they do have some team speed, Oz also has Tyler Harper who is 6'8" at 330. Go Bobcats! first of all up in Grundy means up on the mountain since that's where Grundy County is at, Second of all I would consider being 30 minutes west of Knoxville as NE Tennessee, and thirdly you guys must not have had enough team speed since we doubled yall's score...Can't say I didn't warn you

I'm gonna say that my boys from the mountain are gonna show them bobcats how we play up in Grundy County. I'll guess that oliver springs is like all of the other north east tennessee football teams, meaning that they have no speed. Grundy on the other hand does have speed and a lot of size. Be sure to check out my boy Dillon Graham #74, he's 6'3" and weighs 290 pounds. He's being recruited heavily by MTSU and UTC. Look for him to lay some blocks on offense and knock some heads on defense. Overall I say Grundy's speed will be the difference maker. GC- 21 OS- 7 good luck yeller jackets

Polk is going to run all over the bears and its gonna be an embarrassment.. A 3A school is going beat a 5A school and i cant wait to see it. I would even take grundy or even my Copper Basin boys over you. You are gonna be beat by polk just like you guys get beat by cleveland EVERY year.. So invest in about 3 more coaches like you guys have in recent years.
