  1. I am speaking strictly from the Chattanooga Area: Tyler Rich-DC @ Red Bank (Younger) Kraig Campbell-OC @ Red Bank Tyrus Ward-OC @ Brainerd (Younger) Gerald Jones-DB Coach @ East Hamilton (Younger) Brad Benefield-DC @ Cleveland David McMahan-WR Coach @ Cleveland (Younger) Soddy Daisy has a young staff and I am sure there may be somebody down there that may be an up and coming coach Baylor has a few assistants who would probably jump at the chance to be a head coach. They also have some younger coaches on their staff Any thoughts or comments?
  2. Great post from a comment on Timesfreepress.com I really wish that somehow, someway that Signal Mountain would fall flat on their face this year and lose multiple games and not advance far in the playoffs so that all you Signal Mountain supporters would come off that high horse that you are on and be a little bit more humble about your school and their athletics. The perception of Signal Mountain High School, students, parents, and fans is not going to change until you all realize how arrogant and obnoxious you all are when it comes to talking about Signal Mountain football. It's sickening to hear. What schools did you support 5 to 10 years ago when Signal Mountain High School was not even built? All the Signal Mountain supporters need to see that people wouldn't bash you all or talk bad about your coach and players if you all wouldn't promote them and worship them like they are the best football players in the United States and that NO school will ever be better than Signal Mountain. People get tired of listening to how people are jealous and people are scared of the big, bad Signal Mountain. Get over yourself and grow up. Wake up and realize that "The world doesn't revolve around Signal Mountain High School." Signal Mountain is one of the best teams in Chattanooga but the reputation of how they are perceived causes fans and outsiders to not care one bit about Signal Mountain. Best of luck to every team that plays Signal. I hope that some of them can give them a taste of their own medicine and bring Signal Mountain High School down just a notch or two...
  3. John Allen was at Bradley Central for 1 Year and in that one year they went 0-10 and he bolted. When he took the Bradley job he had said that he was going to put Bradley back on the map. After that one bad year he took off for Silverdale. He was at Silverdale for 5 years. In my opinion, I think that this a terrible hire. Yea I understand that he was good at LFO and decent at Silverdale. Silverdale is a FAR CRY from LFO or Chattanooga Central. I think that Chattanooga Central is a unique place but I think that they have messed up once again on hiring a head football coach. I don't know what the interest level was by area coaches for this job, but I really feel that Central could have made a better choice with a coach with a little more commitment level, broad offensive knowledge, and recognized for bringing programs back up to par. Many questions such as will Allen leave if things go bad after year one? Will he run the Wing T? I sure would hope not with the athletes that Central has but the Wing T is his bread and butter. Best of luck to Chatt Central.
  4. Who are you hearing or think it will be? I heard Webb from Lookout Valley was a possibility...
  5. Who are some names of some possible replacements? Any Chattanooga area coaches? Thoughts/Comments?
  6. Ok...First off lets be realistic....Ooltewah and Hamilton County would not be able to match the amount of money Ralph Potter is making at Brentwood Academy. So lets go ahead and scratch him from the list. Next, Tim James wouldn't leave Heritage in Georgia because once again the money is the issue. Scratch him off also as potential replacement. Now yes. I may be tottally wrong but I think everyone just needs to be a little more realistic in the possible replacements. I really think that the Ooltewah administration, Booster Club, and community needs to look at one of the top assistant coaches in Chattanooga (If not the Top Assistant). I really believe that the attention should be focused on Red Bank Defensive Coordinator Kenny Cobble. He has been the DC there for the past 8 years and Red Bank has won the Region/District 5 out of the 8 years. Year in year out, his Red Bank defense is top in the area. I feel that he would be a great fit at Ooltewah. He is a great family man and top notch teacher in the classroom. Its only a matter of time before he becomes a head coach and I would hate to see another team pass him up and then regret it down the road.

  8. Congrats to Bailey!!! This is a great accomplishment for her!!! I have only seen this girl play a handful of times but she is a very well rounded player who works hard and strives to do well. Congrats again on reaching the 1,000 Career point mark.
  9. I saw this Lyness girl play at Bradley last week and at Walker Valley Tourney over Thanksgiving...Yea she has got some GREAT range. She hit one three with ease at Walker Valley from the Mayfield Cow that is located on the court in between the three point line and half court line. Such a pure and pretty shot. She is pretty automatic from the free throw line as well. Red Bank looks to be a very good team and should have a great season. Lyness shooting from downtown will take them far. Her percentage from the 3 point area has to be very high because she only missed a couple of shots the two times I saw her play. I wonder if any team will give her a shot at the next level??? That girl can Shoot the Lights out in a gym!!
  10. And why not??? Since Red Bank moved down into the old Region 4-4A...Cleveland has yet to beat Red Bank. So if you cant seem to beat them then you might as well go get some of their ammo when you have the chance.
  11. I will say it again. Cleveland really needs to take a close look at Kenny Cobble. He is young and has an amazing trac record as the Defensive Coordinator at Red Bank. He is as ready as anybody to be a head coach. I really think that if Cleveland doesn't go after Cobble that they would make a huge mistake. Its allready late in the off season with spring ball just around the corner and a wrong hire would be devasting to a program.
  12. I am new to this and saw yall talking about different people. The best bet would have to be Kenny Cobble who is the D Coordinator at Red Bank. He is one of the top assistant coaches in the Chattanooga Area. He would be a great fit at Cleveland. Year in and Year out his defenses have been among the top within Region 4-4A. Cleveland needs to go with Cobble.
