Daba, since you post with a respectful tone...I will respond to your post in what I hope is received in a similar way.#1 "Your a fan of Marty." Ok,I understand and respect that.#2 "He won State." I respect that.#3"Let him be." This is my last post on the subject.#4 "sue." That was the parents of 4 players(not me)(IMO that whole thing was handled badly on everyones part).#5 "bash." We are talking about a Head Coach/adult who is in a high profile position and his record is open for praise and criticism.#6 "call the AD/respect in mid Tn"> ok, I seem to be outnumbered on this blog and I would hope he would have the full support of his AD .#7"defended Jeff folks." True; He has friends here in Jeff .#8 "bad apples." I have a conflicting opinion.#9 might I be a bad apple? I might ! it depends on who you ask.I'm ok with that.I also understand the strong need to defend your coach.#10"Good luck and both teams making it to the Championship at Cookville".Back at ya!!!!.Now, with all the consessions that I have made,I think it's only fair that my post regarding "running down to 30 players(children) at 2 seperate schools" ,must be given some weight and creadence.This" fact"is not a bash or an attack or negativity on my part,but a honest representation of what happened at Jeff and Clark.And, it is just as much of a fact as him having won State/Having a very good football mind and having people find him likable.(< See I'm fair and balanced)Further,It should be pointed out, that Jeff has averaged 100 players per year-since Marty's departure and it wasn't the result of replacing 60 bad apples with 60 good ones. Can't spell.pathetic,soft,spoiled and childish. Well arn't we so colorful in our insults.Try and reread (sp?) my earlier post and see if you can honestly tell me that 60 to 70 players at 2 different schools are to blame.Or just maybe there was another reason.

That way everyone from Jefferson County can show Marty how strong their football program is now.Yall be talking nonsense. tsk tsk" I thought a would paraphrase the responses to my post about the facts about Marty's coaching record.I find it interesting that none of the highly intelligent ,educated and good people associated with the esteemed BGA program have found these facts troubling.There seems to be no arguement about anything that I posted.The only arguement is that I had the nerve to post it. This blind devotion is similar to what happened at JCHS..at least at first.My initial response is to attack back at you guys and tell you that you will get what you deserve.But after remembering all the players that had their football dreams shattered .I have decided that It is best to wish you well.

It,s my take that track helps the football player with his combine efforts ie; his starts/form and function.Of course running a 40 in the grass and running a 100 or a 200 on the track ARE very different.But a football player can learn alot from a knowledgable track coach..We all have seen the huge importance placed on 40 times and the 20 yard split...when being evaluated by a potential coach(College or Pro)IMO even the BIG BOYS do benefit from some precise instruction on the art of the sprint.I for one would love to see the entire football team out for track.Everyone works on the 100yd dash then the "biggies" go throw the shotput then everyone lifts and then everyone eats!!GO PATRIOTS !!!! dvp4life

his first year as a (hc) he won STATE ...thats true!and I or anyone else can't take anything away from it.He was the HC and he gets the credit for that BIG win.He also gets full credit for when He said "MTSU was stupid" for not playing him at QB<<

You can perform well in combines all day long, but until it translates to the field...it means nothing, and from the game i saw last year i was very unimpressed to say the least. Hopefully he comes out this season with a little more experience and maturity at the quarterback position for jefferson county's sake. "THE DOGS are barking BUT the TRAIN rolls on"

What you have said -does hold water.I thinks it is fair to say the JC has underperformed over the last many years.It IS also fair to say that JC does not play in the strongest conferance(NO offence IMAC).Yes again,2400 students is a huge advantage in putting together a football team.This huge volume should make JC a contender for the IMAC championship every year.There ARE a good amount of student/athletes that go the extra mile to make the team better and I know the coaches are putting in the time.THE BIGGEST problem that JCHS has is the large amount of people that are extreemly negative about the team/coaches/players.THIS negativity is contagious..it infects all those around them.I have EVEN seen it infect a player or three.Just think..A disgruntled parent turns his own kid into a disgruntled player.Yes we had/have several of these infected families on the Team.And I gotta tell you---If I were In charge --there would be a meeting with these families and a invitation to get on board or get out!!Anyone ever heard of the word MORAL.these disgruntled parents of players-who were "lied to","cheated"."mistreated","and not given the position that they SO richly deserved and earned">>>. NEED to SHUT UP and CHEER for the JEFFERSON COUNTY PATRIOTS!!!!And for the record ,,I have spoken to (2)JCHS players that went on to play and graduate at the D1 level.I have also spoke to 4 current college players who are JCHS graduates.ALL 6 of these men told me about the ugliness that was spoken about them and the teams they played on.They told me about the cursing in the stands--the boos--the hateful things said around town( yes- everything said DOES get back to the player) .And what of the hurtful things said about them -here on COACHT!!!So ,,you see we DO have talent here,We DO have great MEN that play this GAME.We DO have dedicated coaches.OUR biggest problem is ourselves.JUST think---If the effort we place toward negativity were turned into a focused push toward winning----there would be NO limit to what we could accomplish.I will continue to cheer.I will continue to ring the COWBELL.I will continue to encourage and "up talk" the players when I see them.It's WHAT WE DO...WER'E MEN..IT MEANS A FEW THINGS!!! I never thought you were crying..But I gotta say that it sure has been looking like you have a HUGE problem with GOINS..I mean he is only 1 guy..yet a few posters seem to only concentrate on him.And to give your post some credit ...lets say your right..Goins plays defense at JCHS then goes to college and plays defense.OR he plays QB AND defense at JCHS and goes to college and plays defense.anyway peace.
