They did play well in the weekend tournaments for the most part. they hung with Goodpasture when they played. Creek Wood's hitting and pitching fell towards the end of the season and into tournament play. The field was bad and the coaches saw the standing water all over the place and assumed it was unplayable early that morning and didn't worry about it until they heard waverly might play. The agreement was voted on prior to the district tournament and voted on by the coaches that if the tournament was canceled due to rain they would revert back to the regular season standings. I know this is bad for Fairview and I feel your pain but it happened to Creek Wood the 1st or 2nd year the school opened and they didn't get to move on. Camden will play at Creek Wood Monday and Waverly will travel to Lexington. A player cannot hit off of live pitching from any player outside of her team away from high school practice or a game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

They practice after school, but the players that play basketball will have a full practice during the fourth period. The players come out exhausted from basketball then they have to practice or have a game. If the last game against beech is any comparison, Beech appears to be getting better against WC. Their 6-0 win the second time is lots better than the 1-0 game the first time. it would also help if WC scored to at least have some hope of defeating Beech. The TSSAA lays out strict restrictions on this subject. As long as the player is doing simple infield/outfield drills or hitting in a batting cage she should be ok as long as another player is not pitching to her. The high school coaches circulate the rumor because they don't want to risk forfeiting a game and it is easier to say the player can't practice with another team rather than explain the rule. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Camden couldn't have touched Marshall county either. They would be beat up in 5-3A. They lost to Fairview and i believe Page beat fairview early in the season.
