Fairview's coaching is killing them.

Playing less games will allow them to be fresher late in the season. Just as they were last year.

Very little went Creek Wood's way in the state tournament. They hit hard line drives right to people. And probably the best example of this is when # 9 hit a line drive in the gap against Chattanooga Central with a runner on second but the play was called dead due to a ball on the field

Why are all of Lincoln county and riverdale's players on one team. All of the other teams with multiple players have their players split up on different teams

I believe Kasey Fagan was the player of the year. And ask any coach who has played against both girls and ask who the better overall player is. All of the coaches that I have asked said Brandenburg was a better batter and fielder, but Ellen is the better pitcher.

Camden lost arguably the best player in the state last year. But the bigger loss for them was their coach.

I think the good leadership on Beech's team is the reason they were able to overcome the distractions. It helps that the older girls have already played under the coaches and knew what to expect from them.

Since she was probably born in 93 or 94 which would make me about 9 or 10 it would be kind of hard for me to be her "mommy or daddy".

Shelby Dawson is probably one of the top 5 pitchers in the state. She has a 20-2 record with her only losses being to riverdale and Bryant arkansas.

Creek Wood beat Central at the Commando Classic with a freshman on the mound for most of the game. I believe the final was 6-3.

Had you known what the white hat had been saying to Creek Wood's players you would probably have a little more acceptance of the head coach's actions. And the two personal fouls after that incident one was because Creek Wood's player looked at one of Lexington's player the wrong way (at least that was the ref's explanation) and the other was on a player who never does anything that dirty or anything after the play, his personal foul because of his reaction to the ref telling him to "Shut the F*** up." As far as the meeting at the 50 yard line, the Head coach had already checked on his player TWICE then brought his team together to make sure they didn't say or do anything to the refs.

I didn't say it hit him in the back. and i said he did turn for the ball. That play may not have cost springfield the game but it cost them a chance to win the game.

He was beat? He was right next to the reciever. The reciever ran through the BACK of the reciever. If you noticed both players landed on their stomachs when they fell which usually means that the defender had to be going for the ball as he was turned toward where the ball landed.

The play was right across from me and the player for Springfield definitely turned for the ball and that is when they got their feet tangled. I believe that if you watch the film you will see that. There were a lot of flags on both teams but the ones on Springfield always seemed to be at the worst times.

The pass interference was a horrible call. The play should have been a no call which would have stopped the clock and forced dickson to punt. Springfield played very good in the second half. I was most impressed with the quarterback for Springfield's composure. He had guys in his face almost everytime he dropped back and did an excellent job keeping his eyes down field and making a good throw to his reciever. Great game would have been better if the refs let them play a little more and kept the flags in their pocket. The refs should have understood the situation and realized that both players were going for the ball and got their feet tangled. That flag would never have been thrown at any other level of football. Congrats to the Cougars and to Springfield.

Yes the first time they played. Creek Wood beat them in a tournament in Waverly 4-0. Camden maybe had one hit that game.

Riverdale's pitcher is very solid in the circle. However I do not think she is good enough yet to hold down a high powered offense. When she pitched against Creek Wood she gave up three homeruns. Riverdale is very talented and well coached but not quite good enough to win state again this year.
